I went to see the Chapman family perform the other night... they were incredible. I could see it in Will's eyes that he still felt so terrible. They are such a talented, strong group of people. Maria was a precious, beautiful little girl, and she is with Jesus now. :)

I agree with you aMostly, God does not cause things like this to happen. It was just a "horrible" accident, and her brother feels horrible about what happened, that much is obvious. It's something that will haunt him the rest of his life probably, even though it was just an "accident."

This is so sad. I know how they feel; a family in my town who was my family's friends lost their daughter and sister on June 13, 2008; she was 2 1/2 years old; she didn't know any better so she went out side and got too close to the family pool, jumped in, and drowned. RIP Abigale Sylva and Maria

Contrary to what some are saying on here I do not believe for a second that God "caused" this -- yes he did allow it. God loves us and wants only the best for us, however, he allows us all to exist in a world that is goverend by rules that he put in place. He never promised that bad things would not happen to us...just that he would love us through it all and that "all things work to the good for them that believe" -- the Chapman family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember the brother who hit her had played the drums for Jeremy Camp when they came to Agape 2007 in Greenville, IL. Steven came on stage and one of my friends was close enough to the stage to see Maria backstage. My prayers go out to them. God is holding her in His arms in Heaven now.
