oh shit. this was my game back then. when I was a kid playing this I used to over load my lasers and died so many times could never finish playing that game. I miss the 80s
Oh man. I used to play this for hours. I wonder if my parents still have our TI-99s. I'd love to boot them up and play. I used to draw cartoons of this game in my notebook in like1st or 2nd grade.
I used to play this game all the time. Drove my parents nuts that they couldn't hang with my score. They were thinking I was just a kid. I shouldn't be able play as well as I did.
Nice retro video! The ti 99/4a was my first computer. i begined to program computers 1980. and this one was the fist i oned. i later made a copy of this game to a ABC80 how was a early swedish computer. i hade to make it in assbly language becouse the ABC 80 was only based on a z8o cpu.
thank you for a great video!!
ps. i laped parsec 3 times and get over 3,000,000 points (if i remeber right) after every 1000000 the counter go gone to 0 again. :)
I grew up with this too, and currently have it on my hacked PSP! As well as Hunt the Wumpus, Face Maker, Alpiner, A-MAZE-ING, Chisholm Trail, and a few others. So, so good.
This system was so much better than the Atari. This was my favorite game when I was a kid until one day it got me so mad that I broke it. When I calmed down I was devastated as the game was no longer available. To this day I have never played it since. Thanks for posting this.
Holy CRAP this brings me back. I was about 7 when my brother and I would play and I sucked so bad. So frustrating. Never thought I'd hear these sounds or see this game play again. THANK YOU
Nice game, when I was 13 or 14 I had one and find the way you cheat the overheat when you fire to much, the cheat is, I pilot the ship and a friend press the three fire buttons of keypad at the same time, this prevent over heating hahaha. ;-D
You now realize that the ship on Futurama was modeled after this game's ship.

He didn't get to the Killer Satellites, they were the worst.

Man, I always used to crash at that same damn spot, and I'd get so nervous before piloting though it. Then BOOM and a sense of devastation.

I remember playing this game back in 1983. I got to the 13th level before dying. I never did make it to the to the top level of 16.
