Nice work, Heres a little tip for you. Keep the weight on your heels and ditch the trainers. Look at a lot of reps the heel is coming off the ground. Try it out
@lukekhealth Thanks for the tip. This video was shot over 2 years ago and I have refined significantly my form. I actually bring the heel further off the deck now then I do in this video. Take a look at Ivan Denisov who is one of if not the finest kettlebell sport competitor in the world and watch his heel on the working side come off the deck.
The RKC snatch test was revised some time ago. For under 50 years of age, which I am, the candidate must perform a minimum of 100 snatches in 5 minutes. The candidate is also permitted to switch hands as many times as they want. Body weight is no longer a factor in the test.
the RKC snatch test was never 10 minutes; that is the Secret Service Snatch Test. The old req's used to have a certain number of reps completed depending on your weight but unlike this test there is no putting the bell down and only one hand switch. For example, at 185 pounds I would have had to complete, if I remember correctly, 64 reps with the 24 kg with only one hand switch.
