let me start out that i'm no expert but an eye witness:

whoever says the tower fell at free fall speed are completely wrong. i remebered it took the jumpers less time to hit the pavement than it took the buildings to come down. those explosions heard? each tower was divided into 3 or 4 sections with mechanical end electrical equippment. when the plane hit fuel shot down the elevator shafts and the express elevators blew up in the lobbies spreading fires into the mechanical rooms.

11 people standing on each others shoulders were not structurally designed, nor properly supported for the weight/balance required, therefore your comparison = total fail. These buildings were designed to withstand exactly this. There's only one way a building like this could have collapsed in the manner it did and that is EXPLOSIVES!
