  • Really amazing but I kept all my cases

  • This video was amazing.

  • I guess well just have to settle with a jumbo dancing devil. Lol

  • I'm pretty sure they intentionally make stuff to break after awhile nowdays. It's the same deal with cars. They could make stuff that practically lasts forever, but I guess there's not enough money in that. Nintendo seems to be good about making reliable products, though.

  • @FuIIOfFaiI search for programmed obsolescence and capitalism...

  • @NaziFaggot2 LOL :P Bear Gyrlls Gameboy. It drank it's own piss.

  • i lost my gameboy color for a year, ends up it was outside for that year.

still worked same with the game.

  • Can I have one of does carts I always wanted one but I wasn't even born back then

  • I use to put cartridges in the freezer to get my games to work all the time 15 yrs ago

  • dude,. we had to fight with those carts to work 20 years ago,. it sucked, ,.

  • who forgets to leave an NES game in your pocket?... More interesting, how you fit an NES game in your pocket??? lol

  • Chuck Cartridge.

  • Firecrackers are illegal in Canada? Why, you goddamn socialists!

  • Yay Canadians!

  • well then i guess i should buy a nes then :P

  • Thanks to this video I now know that it's ok to pick up an NES game that is lying out in the snow next time I see one! (it's a pretty common occurrence up here in Canada)

  • I think in large the only NES and even SNES games that go bad or ones that had batteries in them where the batterie needed to be replaced or it went bad and the acid caused damage to the game

  • how much did you have to pay for that

  • okay but how tough are sega games? well in my rage i kinda destroyed one with my bare hands kinda like king kong ripping a phone book in half, yet if i play it it'll still work!

  • I LIVE ON! QUACK!

  • Nice!

  • This makes me crie

  • I know your trying the mark witch game is going to be harmed: eg. Alcohol, dropped, water, etc., but really!? Thats like the biggest peeve of video games of all...DO NOT PUT YOUR FUCKIN' NAME ON YOUR GAMES! IDIOTS!

  • Thank you for blaming capitalism.

  • i felt kind of special that i had the mario and duck hunt cartrige game :(

  • Your voice is pretty cool for narratives good video :D

  • I remember in the first grade I found a gameboy game on the ground at my school. People had probably stept on it and it was full of dirt, but I took it home and it WORKED. How many games now would survive that?

  • @alyacat28 what game was it?

  • What makes this really impressive is the fact that every single one of these cartridges was at least 20 years old, which means that the plastic had plenty of time to age and weaken.

A DVD/BDROM would have failed every test except the freezer.

  • Angry Video Game Nerd eat your heart out against Happy Video Game Girl.

  • Cool Video........very funny!!

  • This explains how my old gba game worked after i left it out for a a couple mobths. I was 6.

  • Super Mario RPG Music <3 :D

  • fucking tankspot voice

  • The girl of my dreams is come trues

  • The most breakable NES Cartridge is Winter games that is destroyed by AVGN.

  • Actually the NES was born 1983 in Japan.

  • @Donkeygamers Well, I think she was talking about the American box version. The one released in Japan was the Famicom, which looked completely different.

  • @ClassicNintendoShow

Sure but that IS the birth of the NES. Donald Duck looked different in Wise Little Hen than he does today, bit it's still his first appearance.

  • @Donkeygamers Ah, well, when you put it that way... XD

  • @thehorrorchicken look up the original price of a NeoGeo cartridge.

  • Guys the real shocker here is that original model tray loading style NES is still working.

  • She has such cute voice.

  • I'm semi-serious.

  • You bastards!!! NES games abuse for your own experiment purposes!!!!

  • Since when do NES games fit in your pocket

  • @penov8255 they will fit in your pocket if your not wearing those gay ass looking skinny jeans.

  • the good ol mario rpg^^

  • Wouldn't it be sweet if Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo started making Cartridge games

  • @TheHorrorchicken thats to expensive

  • @MultiBr3tt True, seeing how greedy companies are these days they'd probably charge 100$ per cartridge based games.

  • At 4:25, you successfully turned Super Mario Bros. into Super Missingno. Bros.

  • who has pockets big enough to fit a NES game in?!

  • @rinrygamegame I must ask, the Gov of Canada site you were on said Halifax, it was for the airport, or the regular halifax gov site weather. I live in Truro Nova Scotia, seems like you may be close by. Just kinda weird that I was randomly watching a video about NES games and it turns out someone around here made it.

  • shes an awesome narrator!

  • Eu lembro que uma vez sai de férias e esqueci o video game ligado durante uma semana. O plástico do cartucho derreteu, mas o jogo funcionava normalmente.

  • Eu também vim por causa do Leon! Muito interessante o vídeo. ^^

  • pra mim aquele foguete e peao,buscape,etc...

  • Comment removed

  • se fizessem cartuchos de video game para jogos atuais, os preços iam saltar de 100 para 500 reais. :| prefiro baixar da internet. ITS FREE!

  • @BozoDoMalByRafael Se o SOPA for aprovado talvez adeus "it's free!"

  • @iDiego182 ai eu viro hippie

  • Leon!

  • leon!

  • LOCA

  • prefiro mil vezes jogos com cartuchos doq CD

  • dá joinha quem veio pelo monark .

  • @BrenoLFreitas monark ? pelo leon nao eh ?

  • @BrenoLFreitas monark? kkkkk é o leon!

  • Quem ae veio por causa do Leon?

  • @NeroIsPlaying eu tambem.

  • VIM PELO LEON

    XD

  • Leon é foda

  • boring

  • Do you have another copy of that cartridge? If so, why not put that one through ALL 8 the tests? That would be awesome...

  • ......how could you D:

  • man i regret not buying super mario bros/duck hunt for $0.25 back in 2000, now its worth like $3 bucks. and im talking about like 50 copies

  • How many? 1 less for sure.

    BTW UR HAWT :3

  • my family is filled with gamers thats y we ave 3 NES systems :D

  • My favourite part was seeing that they were from Halifax :)

  • Gameboys are AMAZING at surviving. I've had one ran over with a lawn mower, left in the rain, left in the sun for ... .. a summer on a windowcill. It melted the screen sorta. A dog attack. A battery meltdown in the back, and so much more xD

  • Wow. My cell phone died in the washing machine, but an NES game will survive no problem.

  • One of the best episodes so far!

Just goes to show how far backward things have come since the earlier days...

  • 1:10 IS THERE SHIT ON THE GROUND? :D

  • I Still have my NES and the game you were smashing.

  • Woah, you're from Halifax? I'm from Cape Breton. YOU EARNED A SUB FOR BEING A MARITIMER!

  • 1:22 just smash that game to pieces, its horrible anyways

  • Good lord. Im speechless

  • If i ever made a console i'd make it with cartriges with CD's In them that are well gaurded for Generations To play :D

  • We used to have a CD protective sleeve back in the ol' days. It was essentially a jewel case with a springloaded protective door where the l.a.s.e.r. would read the media. Upon inserting the case (disk inside) a mechanism would open the bay door and begin reading. But ultimately capitalism/free-market/fractal reserve banking is to blame here as with all attempts by the next bigger guy to get all your monies.

  • Girls this cute exist!?

  • Drill? i smell an angry gamer impersonator

  • What store did you buy the Mario/duck hunt?

  • Comment removed

  • This was really cool. Mine still works. I still have the one my parents got when It was new.

  • My 1989 nes still works and my xbox 360 broke after 3 years even tho i take good care of the wtf lol. Btw you sound amazingly cute

  • my nes still works, my atari (all of them) still work.

i take great care of my systems. al 52 of them

  • How will half of these break Xbox/Playstation/Wii games? CD's don't break when they get wet.

  • 5:11 Who else thought it would explode instead of just burn ?

  • You've got the most adorable voice ever!

  • For those who say NES games suck put your Game disc of Skyrim in the washing machine

  • @patyos2 Skyrim run over by a car sounds safer

  • @patyos2 i mean i agree with you but you aren't actually going to base your decision of games off of their durability in a washing machine???

  • Thats nothing! They have a Gameboy in New York that survived a bombing during the Gulf War. Its currently on display and STILL WORKS!

  • OMG, you have such a cute voice <3

  • PS3:DEAD

    WII:DEAD

    XBOX 360:DEAD

    NES:OK

    N64:OK

  • @buenajuan3001

    SNES: OK

    GENESIS: OK

    MOST CARTRIDGE BASED CONSOLES: OK

  • New CD: I got slid across the floor and I don't work anymore...

25-year-old Cartridge: I got dropped off a roof, run over by a car, holes drilled in me, went in the wash, left out in the cold overnight, soaked in rubbing alcohol, put in the freezer and had fireworks exploded on me. I still work fine, BITCH!

  • Remember those old gray brick gameboys?

Beat the shit outta someone with, that bitch will still work!

    Fuck yeah Nintendium!

  • disc are just like babies, they're fragile

but not cartridges, they're tough as hell

  • Nice video! :-D

  • It's all about how you take care of them. In my experience with NES cartridges I have only had two that didn't work. The boards were clean and and had no damage but they are definitely dead. Lightning damage possibly? Take care of discs and they should last a long time too. I have compact discs I bought over 20 years ago and they are all fine. Lesson: Take care of your games and they will take care of you!

  • cartridge based games are so much more tougher, and i think they will last another 40 years, unlike disks :(

  • 5:51 Tallest building in Canada

  • @melomonster007 CN tower. That is all.

  • ive lad my wii for 5 years, the wii is 100% fine, all my cd's still work perfectly(and that means gamecobe games).

  • ahhh nice to see the older games still going! take that xbox, ps3 and wii!

  • Lol this was posted on my b day

  • You have a BEAUTIFUL voice :)

  • My Question: Why would even half this stuff even happen to an NES game???

  • hahaha thats funny cuz that game is selling for $290 sucks for you../

  • LOL cheetahman 2

  • What if Xbox 360,PS3 And Wii games made on cartridges ?

  • I wonder if they made a modern cartridge system if the games could be equally as advanced as their cd counterparts. I'd be all over a new cartridge system, my ps2, wii, and to some degree gamecube don't run quite as well as they once did. Wheras my nes, snes, and n64 have been used more for a longer span of time and still work like a million bucks.

Also who puts their games in their pockets? Lawl.

  • the next handheld if any i'm thinking about after i sell my ps2 use the money and get a psp bc now online they are selling from 50-60$ and i'm going to have to sell it along with a few bames bc no stores will take them bc they aren't in the original cases that's another thing i hate about newer systems but yet i can take any cartridge game and trade it in anywhere like my zelda majora's mask collectors edition.

  • i just wanted to say she does have a point when it comes to newer systems they suck trust me i bought a 360 2 years ago got it flashed and got banned from xbox live and now just 2 weeks ago it got the red ring of death and i couldn't stand no more co-op play so then i bought a ps2 slim last year also and it scratched my discs so after 3 laser changes i got tired of it and decided to put the damn thing up on ebay and bought myself a fctwin instead and love it!!

  • Umm... Isn't exposure to the extreme cold temperatures outside and the freezer the same?

  • @appleguyforeternity Outside snow, dirt, leaves, maybe even animals will mess with the carttridge while a freezer will only make its surrounding extremely cold

  • Dang! I left my NES game in my pocket. Well, good thing it can go through the washing machine.

  • Chuck Norris's Children? Seems Legit.

  • Yep, they don't make things the way they used to.

And.. Heh. What about loading times? A disc (floppy or compact) takes its time to get through the tracks and load the data. Chipsets, well... I only have to point towards the Solid State Drives. ;)

  • CANADIANS UNITE :D

  • You've earned yourself another sub. Awesome/unique video. :)

  • NES FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why would you do this to nes games ;________;

  • you sound so cute... can we go out?

  • If creepypasta has taught me any lessons, it would be DON'T pick up NES games lying around on the floor outside!

  • Wow, this girl is a babe! :-)

  • all these neckbeards

    all thsi tiny girl

  • ok i feel stupider for watching this.

  • @0neWayProductions Yeah,but still...

  • lol at Battletoads being tough

  • My GBA and DS games survived the washing machine MAAANY times

  • @thelostrune Yup 3 of my DS games have been in the waching machine and they work like nothing happend.

  • 2:33

OK,how the hell could ANYONE leave their NES GAME in their PANTS?!?!

  • No offense on that though, great video!

  • @raceman1996 i always put games in my pants....

  • @raceman1996 i said the same thing! unless your super fat and neeed xxxxxxxl pants or are still a big banker and have a big wallet inpossible!

  • @raceman1996 Is that a NES game in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? :P

  • @raceman1996 My friend has pockets that are big enough to carry Xbox 360 games cases. That's longer and wider than a NES game, but thinner. But still. His pockets can.

  • what store do yu go to that still sells nes games

  • 175 people were drilled by rinry

  • You should have used a .44 Magnum on one of them. XD

(Also, my NES still works, and the only game that I have any actual problems with is a copy of Mario Bros.)

  • Comment removed

  • My 8-bit works perfectly:)

  • You are obviously too young to appreciate that NES consoles and games were just as vulnerable to damage as any modern console. In fact, I actually remember Nintendo releasing a special 'Cleaning Pack' to help solve problems with dust contamination in the connectors of the Control Deck.

  • I'd by a copy of drill mario jk

  • vai chupar rola vadia

  • Wow just insane to think they still work after so much time.

  • Nice Kirby NES ^.^

  • awww those poor little/big NES games! Made me wince watching them suffer! Fascinating experiment though :)

  • But will it Blend?

  • This is one of the coolest videos I've ever seen!

  • How dare you suggest that the FF7 game disk could possibly be scratched. Heresy!

  • Cute girl and retro gaming... nerd (but not only) feaven :):)

  • @crazyivan030983 Cuz "feaven" is a word!

  • @LeoBlaze65 ohhh puck (f) :D:D:D heaven just slipped away :D:D

  • man i have all my nes boxes, and my atari, what the hell did people do with them? wipe there asses with it?

  • bleh! butterface

  • Now try some Genesis games since they are smaller and use less plastic.

  • girl gamers make me all fuzzy

  • If only GBA games were like this :(

  • Can you even put an NES cartridge in your pocket?

  • @J0eyBe If ya have Cargo Pants/Shorts. :D

  • @J0eyBe yes. ive tried it.

  • Should have stuck one in the microwave for a minute. XD

  • LMFAO!!! 5:51 HALIFAX SHOPPING CENTER!!! PRICELESS!!

  • 2:33 how would an Nes cartridge fit in your pocket?

  • 5:23 i liked that last troll pop
