  • Brill advert, we need some more adverts like this in between our shows.

  • Absolutely brilliant!

  • I'm with her on that one! (Gin'o clock)

  • i laugh my f**kin ass off everytime i see this advert LOL love it!! <3

  • That funny can not stop laughing xxxxxx

  • I'm like her now!

  • sorry but i dont get it

can someone explain it to me !!

  • @lacossanostra basically at first you get the picture that she's a sweet old lady (if a bit loopy) talking about what kind of tea her husband likes, but then at the end, when she says she drinks gin instead of tea, if you think about how much tea old people drink, and the fact she's replacing it with gin, you realise why she's so crazy, cus she must be drunk all the time XD hope that explains it to you :)

  • This is the ADVERT of the year for me! I just ADORE the under-stated and almost bored way this super actress puts the ad across. She deserves an Oscar in my opinion. Just creases me up the way she says: "I don't like tea ... I like gin."

Brillian advert by whomsoever created it. Just brilliant.

Who IS this lovely lady? She reminds me of my old Auntie Dolly, now passed on. She even LOOKS a bit like her. Dolly liked a nip of Brandy, but she also liked a cuppa tea. Gread ad!!!

  • Subliminal ad for Aldi-brand Gin, not tea.

  • that ad is hilarious ive watched it over and over and cant stop laughing lol great ad :) i want those tea bags now lol

  • wow! all these views! Aldi made a brill advert!

  • This woman is so much like my late grandmother. her grandkids muct be so proud xxx

  • Aldi guys are fantastic, huge

     respect

  • Before the shoot of modestep, sunlight.

  • GILF:)

  • @chalupar11 Read your comment, then threw up in my mouth a little...

  • well...here I am...wanna watch an ad video on youtube [which is stupid enough] and then I'm complaining about ad before the video starts...confusing, huh? =D

mince pie ad is better =D

  • Watch the mince pie ad!

  • i spoke to this lady in covent garden in london today she was sitting next to us in a cafe .... what a legend !!!

  • Comment removed

  • I like gin too.

  • Did you know we are also on Facebook? The Aldi UK official Page has just launched today and is the place to go for information about your favourite Aldi products and exciting competitions. Be sure to search for ‘Aldi UK’, and give us a ‘Like’

  • @AldiUK hey thanks for that .

  • She's exactly the same as my grandma. Seriously.

  • this is the best advert in years.its so funny and i can just watch it over and over again..well done lidl!!!

  • Hahaha

  • reminds me of my nan lol

  • ask a member of management for an appeal form, which explains what to do, then it down to the company that charged you. it doesn't matter whether the car park was full that day or not they can't just turn the systems off.

  • point of the car park is for when you are shopping there not swanning off to go for a drink. thats what other car parks are for. you have an hour and a half to do your shopping which is more than enough time. they changed this back in feb. cos too many ppl take the mick and leave there cars there and we are a lot busier now so we need the spaces. you can appeal against your fine if you do spent a lot there as you claim.

  • hahahahhah so fucking funny , the pregnant one is wicked too

  • This is my friends grandma lol.

  • I want to be like her when I'm old!!

  • @leeborich Me too!

  • @leeborich I already am like her an I'm 19...

  • @fare777 mam=mom ma=my

  • i saw this on 29/05/2011 when i went to see potc 4 and ma mam told me that the lady is ma mams mates mam

  • @aMiR1412 what's a mam? What's ma?

  • I pissed myself for about half an hour after watching this advert, it's so fucking FUNNY

  • I have spent thousand of pounds at Aldi over the years. On Sunday we went to do our usual shop taking around 35 mins then went for a drink across the road. Their car park was only about 20% full. A week later I received a £70 charge through the post for staying there for 2 hour 40 mins. Well ALDI you are not getting one more penny out of me from now on its all going to LIDDEL. Neither are you getting paid for the fine you greedy chancers.

    Bye

  • @ALBIONTYKE dont really think their gonna miss the pittance you give them compared to the millions of pounds profit they make every year...

  • @jman280292 Put it this way, the bad press they will be reciening in Thusrdays issue in my local paper will be less than a pittance once the word gets round that ALDI contract their services with chancers like Parking Eye. Further the same paper has today contacted ALDI as a result I have already received a phone call this morning from a worried member of their customer services department offering to cancel the £70 charge. Nothing to do with the bad press they will be getting I don't suppose?

  • @ALBIONTYKE If every1 took that long to shop then theyd be no free spaces, serves you right for spending almost 3 hours buying tea bags and gin ;-)

  • @J4YM5 Simpleton, read my comment again & this time slowly. It was a Sunday afternoon & the car park was only 20% full, thats why ALDI are concerned enough to ring me back & wave the charge. If your in business you dont want to lose customers through getting a bad reputation by what has been printed in today's local paper you back down instead & thats exactly what ALDI have done.

  • @ALBIONTYKE ok but spending that long makes wardens think youve used there car-park to do other things than shop at aldi.

  • @J4YM5 It wasnt a warden. It was one of those Orwellian big brother CCTV camera that watch us all day long.

  • @ALBIONTYKE

yeh there are too many CCTV cameras.

The country is densely overpopulated so parking fines for staying too long at a free car park makes sense especially considering alot of people use them to do other things.

It shouldnt take 2.6 hours to shop there really.

You knew the rules of the car park, and you know why they are implimented, just get over it.

  • @ALBIONTYKE Hate those things, but whats even more annoying is people won't do anything about them. In France they went around destroying the things to the point where it became too costly to keep replacing them.

In this country we expect the government to protect our liberty from the government, doesn't make sense.

  • @ALBIONTYKE Doesn't matter, rules are rules. Their store was open, and you went past their limit. That limit doesn't suddenly disappear because at that moment in time only 20% of the car park is being used.

In fact you stayed on that car park nearly double the allotted time.

I have run other errands when i've gone to the supermarket but I always make sure that I don't go over the limit.

Tho I do agree with the CCTV, far too many of the bloody things.

  • @galenwolf "Rules are rules" My rules are I think for myself, If it had been on a busy Saturday I would not have left the car there so long, but on Sunday in sleepy Sleaford it is dead. Aldi are not the law & I was not causing any obstruction or any inconvenience, legally they didnt have a leg to stand on, hence they wavered the the charge.

  • @ALBIONTYKE loool fair enough. You win haha

  • @ALBIONTYKE So you shopped there for 35 minutes, then went drinking for over 2 hours? I'd say you got what you deserved.

  • @Erdie5 say what you like about aldi...no, seriously say what you like.

  • @ALBIONTYKE Sorry mate but Aldi can do what they like. Its their car park, they pay for the land its on and they allow their customers to park on it for free. It doesn't say, "use our car park to go to the pub" does it. I just wish they hadn't backed down and offered you a refund as they had no need to. I doubt a poxy little story in a local newspaper would affect a huge multi-national supermarket with a huge and loyal fan base.

  • @itvgallery but it would have affected the one store thats why they backed off. a near empty car park & I had been spending good money there!! the're chancers & they lost

  • touch* :D

  • ABSOLUTE PISSER!

lol jk i was like wtf and then i jizzed all over my cats face and he said "so you gonna go put me in the bin now?" amd i said "no your not a disposible cat, your a FUCKING DILDO YOU WHORE" then i raped him and used his meat to keep me alive for 39294 days because im trapped up here in mount everest btw soz i forgot to mension that im going to go and much on my nose that fell of about 5 minutes ago cos im michel jackson and i toutch ghost kids penis now.

  • @muttleyification get a life

  • @muttleyification You could say that it is not Gin she is drinking there but water. She doesn't say LOOK AT ME DRINKING MY GIN FROM THIS GLASS. I would imagine that'd be how the advertisers got around it anyway.
