Try getting a replacement, or your money back on Electrical Goods from ALDI when they are faulty, watch this video. Really good video, one which ALDI managers and staff should watch!
@lacossanostra basically at first you get the picture that she's a sweet old lady (if a bit loopy) talking about what kind of tea her husband likes, but then at the end, when she says she drinks gin instead of tea, if you think about how much tea old people drink, and the fact she's replacing it with gin, you realise why she's so crazy, cus she must be drunk all the time XD hope that explains it to you :)
This is the ADVERT of the year for me! I just ADORE the under-stated and almost bored way this super actress puts the ad across. She deserves an Oscar in my opinion. Just creases me up the way she says: "I don't like tea ... I like gin."
Brillian advert by whomsoever created it. Just brilliant.
Who IS this lovely lady? She reminds me of my old Auntie Dolly, now passed on. She even LOOKS a bit like her. Dolly liked a nip of Brandy, but she also liked a cuppa tea. Gread ad!!!
well...here I am...wanna watch an ad video on youtube [which is stupid enough] and then I'm complaining about ad before the video starts...confusing, huh? =D

ask a member of management for an appeal form, which explains what to do, then it down to the company that charged you. it doesn't matter whether the car park was full that day or not they can't just turn the systems off.
point of the car park is for when you are shopping there not swanning off to go for a drink. thats what other car parks are for. you have an hour and a half to do your shopping which is more than enough time. they changed this back in feb. cos too many ppl take the mick and leave there cars there and we are a lot busier now so we need the spaces. you can appeal against your fine if you do spent a lot there as you claim.
I have spent thousand of pounds at Aldi over the years. On Sunday we went to do our usual shop taking around 35 mins then went for a drink across the road. Their car park was only about 20% full. A week later I received a £70 charge through the post for staying there for 2 hour 40 mins. Well ALDI you are not getting one more penny out of me from now on its all going to LIDDEL. Neither are you getting paid for the fine you greedy chancers.
@jman280292 Put it this way, the bad press they will be reciening in Thusrdays issue in my local paper will be less than a pittance once the word gets round that ALDI contract their services with chancers like Parking Eye. Further the same paper has today contacted ALDI as a result I have already received a phone call this morning from a worried member of their customer services department offering to cancel the £70 charge. Nothing to do with the bad press they will be getting I don't suppose?
@J4YM5 Simpleton, read my comment again & this time slowly. It was a Sunday afternoon & the car park was only 20% full, thats why ALDI are concerned enough to ring me back & wave the charge. If your in business you dont want to lose customers through getting a bad reputation by what has been printed in today's local paper you back down instead & thats exactly what ALDI have done.
The country is densely overpopulated so parking fines for staying too long at a free car park makes sense especially considering alot of people use them to do other things.
It shouldnt take 2.6 hours to shop there really.
You knew the rules of the car park, and you know why they are implimented, just get over it.
@ALBIONTYKE Hate those things, but whats even more annoying is people won't do anything about them. In France they went around destroying the things to the point where it became too costly to keep replacing them.
In this country we expect the government to protect our liberty from the government, doesn't make sense.
@ALBIONTYKE Doesn't matter, rules are rules. Their store was open, and you went past their limit. That limit doesn't suddenly disappear because at that moment in time only 20% of the car park is being used.
In fact you stayed on that car park nearly double the allotted time.
I have run other errands when i've gone to the supermarket but I always make sure that I don't go over the limit.
Tho I do agree with the CCTV, far too many of the bloody things.
@galenwolf "Rules are rules" My rules are I think for myself, If it had been on a busy Saturday I would not have left the car there so long, but on Sunday in sleepy Sleaford it is dead. Aldi are not the law & I was not causing any obstruction or any inconvenience, legally they didnt have a leg to stand on, hence they wavered the the charge.
@ALBIONTYKE Sorry mate but Aldi can do what they like. Its their car park, they pay for the land its on and they allow their customers to park on it for free. It doesn't say, "use our car park to go to the pub" does it. I just wish they hadn't backed down and offered you a refund as they had no need to. I doubt a poxy little story in a local newspaper would affect a huge multi-national supermarket with a huge and loyal fan base.
@itvgallery but it would have affected the one store thats why they backed off. a near empty car park & I had been spending good money there!! the're chancers & they lost
lol jk i was like wtf and then i jizzed all over my cats face and he said "so you gonna go put me in the bin now?" amd i said "no your not a disposible cat, your a FUCKING DILDO YOU WHORE" then i raped him and used his meat to keep me alive for 39294 days because im trapped up here in mount everest btw soz i forgot to mension that im going to go and much on my nose that fell of about 5 minutes ago cos im michel jackson and i toutch ghost kids penis now.

Brilliantly funny - and memorable - which is what advertising is all about. Whoever thought this up has an incisive wit and a sense of humour I thought was lost more than 20 years ago. Worthy of a BAFTA!
@rindette its not so much that more the sugestion that she is drinking which is the problem even if the person aint drinking for real the pos could lead some peop/e to belive drinking on your own is fine
@20xxAimeexx10 again already got one how about you learn to hold an adult conversation when your brain has evolved even though that would still most likely consist for you a incredible amount of gibberish

@muttleyification You could say that it is not Gin she is drinking there but water. She doesn't say LOOK AT ME DRINKING MY GIN FROM THIS GLASS. I would imagine that'd be how the advertisers got around it anyway.
