  • who needs a skill saw?

  • where buy this fucking rock-wood?

  • oh whoop de doo another piece of wood

  • id have used a saw.....

  • Machete needed now

  • he should buy an axe!

  • forget the Laredo. I just ordered an Outback by Down Under Knives

  • superman's brother is a lumber jack.

  • it wierd how the only way to cut through big stuff is with a guy on steroids

  • @armo23qu the point is that their product can withstand this sort of abuse

  • 2 things during the edge retention test. it either 1: sucks, it took 16 whacks to cut the board the first time and then it took like 35 to cut the next or 2: the user got tired fast.

  • Click on 2:46 every 1 sec it makes a cool beat. Also on 3:51 every 2 sec click it make even more a cooler beat.

  • He hacked a piece of wood with a piece of metal ...

  • ok i get it, it can cut through pine wood -_-"

  • one thing ive noticed is they dont do baton testing with wood it all comes down to just swinging it.......maybe baton testing would be a good idea? also the old man did better at cutting than the first guy lol

  • one thing ive noticed is they dont do baton testing with wood it all comes down to just swinging it.......maybe baton testing would be a good idea?

  • it took 14 hits with the 15th to break the last peace off....13 hits?

  • Looks like the knife lost its edge after the first chop, or maybe the guy's arm got tired, because it sure takes a while after that! =D

  • that guy probably has carparal tunnel now lol

  • for this money i will buy a chain saw and cut it 10 times faster

  • The reason I don't like Cold Steel is because you can find knives that are cheaper and performe way better.

  • bullshit they swaped it with a new one

  • Id love to se that steel in a larger n top heavy knife so that it has more chopping power.

  • Mabe not the flexing but my karbar I know for a fact can do all of this, not nocking cold steel but i mean come on there is a 100$+ diffrence in price.

  • @asg00001

hell yer that bowie is a $600 knife and my $30 martindale Paratrooper knife chops better ( It even chops better then my axes when im chopn down 8 inch trees.)

  • @shaolinadr

yup cold steel is way over priced for what you get

    take care

  • @shaolinadr Well its not how good it chops, its just it cuts things other knifes arnt ment for

  • Comment removed

  • after they chopped all tha wood the realized that it was 4 the miniature sage theyre building 4 the company tanlantshow

  • he chops as fast as speedy gonzalez runs :)

  • Why? Just why would you even think of chopping a 2/4 with a knife.. That's what table saws or skill saws are used for.

I like these knives and stuff, but they're expensive.

  • @Masterpivot292 - Because people use these knives as survival knives too. In that use you need to chop wood for firewood, building shelters, etc. It is nice to know the blade your life may depend on can handle the abuse.

  • some of the cuts SPLIT the wodd , so how do they count?

  • @malice1488 it's not a mather of counting the cuts cause the wood splits ....if u'r out there in nature and you're cutting a piece of tree this big and it's spilts just like this , wouldn't u be happy it happend and that u don't need to use all ure energy on it anymore ? this knife is designed for chopping so that's exactly what it's doing in this video ....

  • We are killing tree because of this guy

  • @IxAmxYourxHoe pleasae gtfo out tree humper go fuck a tree or something

  • REALLY WITH THE WOODCHOPPING?REALLY?

  • I got wood...

  • they should have made this knife full tang because if they did it would be worth the money

  • That's a LOT of work.

  • i think im going to buy that knife

  • when wood attacks us ill get one

  • @firestar9999 rofl yea

  • @firestar9999 LOL

  • the first test is just to show how well it holds its edge

  • good knife but that chop test was retarded cuz my walmart bowie could also do that with that many strokes

  • I would just a bandsaw... >.>

  • best knives ever

  • anime speed chop go!!!! "HYAH"

  • wonder how long it takes them to sharpen there knifes also what they use...

  • boring

  • its not a practical use we know, it's a demonstration of the blade's EDGE RETENTION. none of you are legit survivalists, it's sad.

  • omg...... lame

  • I don't see myself cutting wood with a knife

  • I am a boy scout and in a camp I live with blades.... to cut wood i have a axe or i brake it with my leg, to cut meat i have my precious opinel (with it if u don't pay attention u can cut a finger very easily). easy men just half kg to do everything

  • how long is the blade

  • @leb900 looks to be like 8.5 to 9 inches

  • its 10.5

  • no more please

  • the only thing that i dont like about cold steel's products is how insanely expensive they are.

  • @SleepingWolf26 - Not all of them. A LOT of their knives are relatively cheap. They have several dozen GREAT knives of good size for $50-$100.

  • @SleepingWolf26 true that!!!!

  • @SleepingWolf26 because you pay for quality

  • @SleepingWolf26 Well, some of their stuff is insanely cheap, some insanely expensive.

  • @SleepingWolf26 Have you ever looked in to purchasing a custom made knife, or any knife of this caliber from another company? Cold Steel's products are a bargain for how much life you'll get out of them. If the price of a certain knife or sword is too much, I'm sure they have a slightly lower-end model that would fit your needs without sacrificing any usability or durability.

  • @SleepingWolf26 Speaking from a person who knows about them and other brands it seems that to me anyway they make the best bowie knives, though spyderco and other companies are preferred over their tacticals. There swords are over priced junk who have threaded handles which actually sword never have and have been reported to fall apart from several places as a threaded handle will loosen and the blade can go flying.

  • @SleepingWolf26 Oh and pretty good machetes, just don't buy directly from them buy from kultofathena . com

  • @SleepingWolf26 They're expensive if you buy them direct from Cold Steel, but you can find them cheaper on many websites like amazon, or even cold steel's 'special projects' page

  • fuckin six and a half minutes of cutting fucking wood, if i was gunna buy something for cuuting wood, i get a fucking chainsaw!!

  • Thats not the point dip shit, the point is to show the durability and sharpness of the knife

  • thats not the point dip shit, its to show the blades durable and its capablilities of holding an edge

  • I just ordered a Dagger from Trueswords :D cant wait, its a SS Officers dagger with a nice little engraving.

  • cold steal forums is faggot central

  • they werent seing how good it could chop the wood the where showing the edge retention

  • maybe people don't understand the meaning of this test. the meaning was to check how strong is the blade and specialy the edge.

the fact than this knife can handle that much stress and the edge can stay sharp is really impressive.

  • i think ill buy a saw

  • lol ambiguous rock song in the background for six minutes

    -hero

  • that guy must be getting tired.. =P

  • good steel

  • i want 1

  • wow pitiful. a louisville slugger would have done a better job

  • what a shitty chopper

  • Lol chops sound like smg shots Cx

  • did they speed it up cause it took half a hour to chop to the board

  • @jesjes2 they sped it up on soem parts
