I can see the need in the future for the YVR station to have a separate platform for exiting passengers. On a busy day it must be rather inefficient to have the skytrain arrivals passing through the lines of departers, luggage and all.
Very Nice video - - - - - I <3 going to YVR airport with the Canada line even though if your not boarding a airplane or anything its still fun to at-least see the cool thing's.
The trains are AI controlled, the computer uses electronic signals sent between itself and the control centre as well as other trains to find out what speed it should be at and whether it's getting too close to another train, etc.
Wow so it must of been expensive piece of softwares and chips to get this thing rolling. Has this always been or its new? what has happened to the drivers?

It's fun when there's a large plane passing by the window.

Canada line and sky train have no drivers? how is it operated? is it controlled on a console at HQ and monitored via camera?

Vancouver's rapid transit system has been automated since the first line was built in 1986.

Some of those barriers are actually wider than the luggage carts so all they do is interfere with strollers.
