I never ate poffertjes for breakfast they where always eaten as a snack In Holland. Must be an expat tradition accustomed to the American breakfast pancake tradition
RHaivaen, I respect your choices...my brother-in-law is a Nederlander, as well, and he cooks them as well as Dutch pancakes for us for breakfast. He likes them any time of day, as well:)
Reptar, perhaps I should have said crispy around the edges...but my Dutch brother-in-law serves them with butter and powdered sugar, so that is how we eat them. Yums!
@iamreptarhearmeroar This is exactly how we eat them in Brabant, and also in Zuid Holland, so maybe it is just different in other parts of the country.
dutch national breakfast food? never had it for my breakfast hehe, i would to... but normaly we just make a cheese sandwich or something instead of cheese
No way you eat these for breakfast in NL: poffertjes are typical fairground food.

You can use a squeezie bottle (if it is the right name) and use it as a dispenser. to make them realy fast. I used to make 200 portions a day at work

Porridge and such is national breakfast, Poffertjes are NOT, although Individual use can always differ, I am a Nederlander, and I know.

Um, they aren't crunchy at all. They aren't usually served with butter, either. But they still taste amazing.Thnks for the video.
