I love my SRX. I love the backup camera and sensors. Very comfy seats with plenty of leg room. Extra large moon roof. Large storage area in the back (underneath). I was seriously looking at a Buick Enclave until I found that the price was more that the SRX fully loaded. I could afford a Cadillac but not a Buick (weird). My other vehicles were Chrysler Aspen (a great SUV but used a lot of gas) and the XL-7 Suzuki (both vehicles they don't make anymore).
I have a fully loaded 06 CTS and I love it except for the fact that I have had it to the dealer about once every four months for a warranty repair, I love it but I am scared because my warranty is about to expire and all that Iittle stuff will add up. Even though I do love it, it will be the first and last GM product I buy, if they would put their vehicles together better I would be a life customer, GM pay attention to that comment because that is an all to common phrase from everyone

That Lexus is hideous and "mysvvy2" - there are plenty of people like me that buy American. My family has a Chevy truck, Lincoln MKX, and Jeep Wrangler (JK). The MKX is expiring from lease in a couple months and I'm looking at this Caddy or the new Jeep Grand Cherokee as a replacement.
That's too bad - I'd look at the new 2011 MKX - now that's one sweet looking vehicle with a 305 hp 3.7 with the same mileage as the caddy and about 10 grand less
I purchased a 2010 SRX in May. I traded my 2009 Escalade for the SRX. Best decision I had ever made. The SRX gets much better gas mileage. My insurance went down $550.00 a year. The SRX in my opinion has a much classier look inside and out over the Escalade. It is a very quiet ride and the options are unbelievable. Everyday I was learning something new on my SRX. It has a nice smooth and quiet ride. Great interior room. I purchased it in black only swearing that I would never buy another black

Really nice car I really like the interior and equipment but it feels pretty heavy for it's engine and it is a little bouncy on the corners, it doesn't feel that safe when going faster than 160kmph, so as I prefer to drive fast I bought a q5 instead

I don't care too much for this srx. They hit a home run with the first generation, why not just improve on something that's already good and stable. This new SRX is really nice with some premium things and more sporty themes. I think Cadillac is kind of making the SRX more sporty than elegant but it isn't a bad way to go. It looks awesome!

Actually they don't....they just recalled 3.8m vehicles....there is an underlying engineering defect in these vehicles which caused the vehicle to stay at WOT even when the driver was not "flooring" the gas pedal. If they were a few isolated issues, Toyota would've shrugged it off. If you want to try and invalidate an investigation conducted by the NHTSA be my guest. Toyota quality went out the window a long time ago.

I own Infiniti I35 2002, it is a 7 y.o (100K+ miles on it) car but drives like new one. There is no paint problems never had any mechanical problems me or the first owner, the leather is in excellent condition and all the buttons and options work just fine...
Beside the regular maintenance the only think I replaced was the cooling fan (360$) not bad for 7 years.
I never said anything about Honda or Nissan or their luxury divisions. I'm talking about Toyota. My opinion on their cars is proven by their disgusting disregard for consumer safety. 3.8M vehicles? If I had one that was involved in the recall I'd RUN, not walk away from it.

There is a problem with sensors that could cause the engine to quit, The Engine speed control can malfunction and the car will not accelerate, and the front control arm can come loose and cause a crash. These are three known Recalls for the I35. The japanese infallibility is a pure myth.
With all due respect, there was a certain degree of ineptitude involved in that case. Lives could have been saved had the driver simply shut off the engine. They had time to get to 120mph & call 911, but didnt think to shut off the engine or throw it in neutral. And if you think about it, ANY floor mat if bunched up and pushed against the accelerator the way that one was could yield similar results. They care, a recall says they do, more than Ford can say (Firestone anyone? 250+ lives lost)
you said "only the steering wheel misses out on the power adjustment", but this is not true. just to the left of the push button start is a power adjustment knob. you can see it at 1:34.

GM is like the retarded kid on the basketball team who always misses and loses games, until finally he gets one goal and hes happy. the cts was a failure in 2003 engines barely lasted 100000miles the last gen srx looked like a fuckin herse. the rx350 is way better quality then this shit. i guarantee you half of that intrior will fall apart example: buttons, vents, indicator stick. those all broke in my old cts. its still a chevy/pontiac which is garbage by my standards
Cadillac has come a long way, both in terms of design, quality & marketing. It's completely given it's image a face lift from the car of senior citizens, pimps & gangsters to America's BMW. That takes a vision, money and time. Whoever is at the helm of Cadillac has done an amazing job. I never thought I'd want a Cadillac. For much of my generation, Cadillacs were embarrassing. My, how times have changed.

I test drove at 2010 SRX and a 2009 FX 35 yesterday...
2010 SRX just looks inferior to the FX 35, and also performance is much better than the SRX..

Dude Seriously...I have test driven the Venza, SRX, and FX35. FX35's engine is just elite, acceleration and handling...FX35 just blows them out...
SRX just feels weak, acceleration is just not what you expect from a car which would cost about $50K CAD...

This new SRX is really nice with some premium things and more sporty themes. I think Cadillac is kind of making the SRX more sporty than elegant but it isn't a bad way to go. It looks awesome!

Lexus RX 2010 will be still a desirable car after 8 or 10 years, just like all the Lexus cars from 02 are still desirable.
This SRX will be long forgotten just like the previous generation and i hate to say that, juts as much I hate all those Business School Grads, who manage GM. They are all over the hierarchy in the company.
They don't give a shit how good the car is, they only care how much they can profit from it!

Americans have a fixation with japanese cars that no other country has. No where else would anyone spend 50k+ for a glorified toyota. In germany lexus sells pathetic amounts. Toyota barely introduced lexus in japan in 2005. More than 3 quarters of the lexuses are sold in the USA. Toyota can get away with this here because we cant see that they are glorified tin-can cars with no soul! If you left this country you'll see that no one else would spend that kind of money for a glorified toyota.

Actually they don't....they just recalled 3.8m vehicles....there is an underlying engineering defect in these vehicles which caused the vehicle to stay at WOT even when the driver was not "flooring" the gas pedal. If they were a few isolated issues, Toyota would've shrugged it off. If you want to try and invalidate an investigation conducted by the NHTSA be my guest. Toyota quality went out the window a long time ago.

OK, this is you opinion about the Toyota quality... just keep buying GM cars, I'll stick to Toyota, Honda or Infiniti :-).
I own Infiniti I35 2002, it is a 7 y.o (100K+ miles on it) car but drives like new one. There is no paint problems never had any mechanical problems me or the first owner, the leather is in excellent condition and all the buttons and options work just fine...
Beside the regular maintenance the only think I replaced was the cooling fan (360$) not bad for 7 years.

I never said anything about Honda or Nissan or their luxury divisions. I'm talking about Toyota. My opinion on their cars is proven by their disgusting disregard for consumer safety. 3.8M vehicles? If I had one that was involved in the recall I'd RUN, not walk away from it.
Regular maintenance is good. All of our American cars have done fine for more than 7 years under regular maintenance, albeit without cooling fan failure.

I don't know what are you arguing for... go and sit on the side of some highway and start counting the cars which are from 7 to 15 y.o you will see that 90% of those cars are Toyota, Honda and Nissan...
An the 10% of American cars are owned by old people who put no more than 5K miles per year and keep their cars all the time in a garage.
What I call regular maintenance is oil and filter change every 3-4K miles. Also break pads 2 times and spark plugs once.

you mean brake pads. What I call regular maintenance is what you call it. Following the schedule in the owners manual for fluid changes, drive belt changes, etc. Nothing beyond that for us. To the contrary, you seem to be the one who is arguing. I don't care how many cars I can count going by on the highway that are of one brand or another. My experience with any American car I've owned has been nothing short of excellent. I don't know why you think I'm arguing.

There is a problem with sensors that could cause the engine to quit, The Engine speed control can malfunction and the car will not accelerate, and the front control arm can come loose and cause a crash. These are three known Recalls for the I35. The japanese infallibility is a pure myth.

With all due respect, there was a certain degree of ineptitude involved in that case. Lives could have been saved had the driver simply shut off the engine. They had time to get to 120mph & call 911, but didnt think to shut off the engine or throw it in neutral. And if you think about it, ANY floor mat if bunched up and pushed against the accelerator the way that one was could yield similar results. They care, a recall says they do, more than Ford can say (Firestone anyone? 250+ lives lost)

GM is like the retarded kid on the basketball team who always misses and loses games, until finally he gets one goal and hes happy. the cts was a failure in 2003 engines barely lasted 100000miles the last gen srx looked like a fuckin herse. the rx350 is way better quality then this shit. i guarantee you half of that intrior will fall apart example: buttons, vents, indicator stick. those all broke in my old cts. its still a chevy/pontiac which is garbage by my standards

Cadillac has come a long way, both in terms of design, quality & marketing. It's completely given it's image a face lift from the car of senior citizens, pimps & gangsters to America's BMW. That takes a vision, money and time. Whoever is at the helm of Cadillac has done an amazing job. I never thought I'd want a Cadillac. For much of my generation, Cadillacs were embarrassing. My, how times have changed.
