yeah but only after he fell for her, he would have just cheated left, right and centre if they'd gotten together any earlier. He did that when they were still only interested in each other. I always wondered why they didn't put joel and maggie together.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Like around the time her house burned down and she had nowhere to stay, and he ended up using her burned piano for the fling...I see a tie in with "flings". Season 3 or 4ish.

I think it was inevitable..remember them in the one where they did the play, Bus Stop? I think they had the hots for eachother then, and it came out at the end. Anyways, it is the BEST SHOW EVER ON TV!! I got the videos and they are all dark. Channel 54 PBS in San Bernadino, Ca. played the whole series at ten every night for months. They were all bright like the original. I think they are still going right now.

Couldn't stand this lame storyline not true to either of the characters. I stopped watching altogether when i got wind of this plot line. Broke my heart as this was my favourite show at the time.

I also think the script writers missed the right moment, when Fleischman was still in the picture with Maggie. It looks like if at this point they needed desperately to hook the audience with another flirting story between Maggie and one of the other characters.
