Australian writers are the biggest wimps and whingers in the universe. We just love to drop to our knees in gratitude for the generosity and wisdom of broadcasters, production companies and programmers. And when it comes to the negotiating table we bend over it, take the big stick and scream with pleasure at the pay packets of pig shit we receive. The revenge is to go to meetings and conferences and whinge eloquently about how Producer/Broadcaster X mutilated our baby.
