  • Call 999?

  • Just had to use this on a drunk friend the other night... ughh..

  • You should never shake the shoulders incase they have a spinal injury, instead you should squeeze them in order to get to the nerve so they can feel a bit of pain and respond if they are concious

  • Put them in the .rape. position.

  • @slantyrock lol yes

  • hey does anyone know any other names for the recovery position?

  • @TheAsdfghjkl411 in america we call it the HAINES position or modified HAINES position.

  • My friends just saved his brothers life in the middle of town by youtubing this video -3

  • She did not check the airway for any obstructions. That is paramount!

  • @Glamagal20091 if there was any obstructions, they probably would not be breathing, so you should not put them in the recovery position anyway,

  • A guy fainted in my class today, nobody knew what to do. I only vaguely knew what to do, luckily he was fine. Just watching this now, it could have ended worse.

  • ew his socks are dirty ! ;X

  • this is the new recovery position I think, isn't it.?.. in my first first-aid course we learned how to do the old one...could you make a video of how to put someone in the "old" recovery position?

also ..thank you so much for the videos.. first aid is so important and everyone should know how to do it:-) xoxo

  • @littlexbluebutterfly Don't worry about "new" or "old" positions, as long as they are propped up on their side with their head tilted back the position works. First always open their airway (tilt head) and make sure they are breathing (look listen feel). If someone is not breathing even with their airway open get help on the way immediatly and then push on the centre of their chest 100 times per minute to compress it one third the depth of chest. Don't worry about breaths, just keep it up.

  • In school, in first aid we are learning how to do this and CPR. The teacher said that if we learn how to do this we could save lives if anyone were to be unconcious. Apparently a girl in the last first aid class saw someone fall to the floor. They were unconcious and remembered the first aid she learned to the class I go to. She saved a life.

  • that message where it said call 999, u should call 911

  • @marines532 No you shouldn't, this is by the 'British Red Cross' where the emergency service numbers are 999 and 112

  • excellent video. thank you very much.

  • i had to do this in college today...fun times

  • Hm, I appreciate these videos. This is something a lot of people would make someone pay money for because of how professional it is.

  • very useful maneuver!!

  • hi

she did perfectly. I know because I was first Aid trainer in Pakistan Red Crescent

    i miss it vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvery much

  • They talk about what should be on a school curriculum and I can think of no better subject than to have all children taught CPR. I'm sure that would save countless lives.

  • @StephenWoods69 My children were taught basic First Aid at their Primary School - this included CPR and the Recovery Posiiton. I hope they are reminded of it before they leave Secondary School.
