Modest mouse is great, pearl jam is great, Alice in chains is great. THey make great music, as well as countless other bands and solo artist and symphonies and people in front of computers. Money, their history, and your musical taste and feelings towards any musicians are all meaningless.  The great thing about music is there is something for everybody, and if there isn't something for you then you can always make it.

I am a huge modest mouse fan, and this video really captures what I think about when I listen to them, this melancholy beautiful song it particular, I can't explain why Modest Mouse's music has such an effect on me, but with the tasteful pairing of this video, It brought a tear to my eye, they haven't done that since I've seen them and live and when I listen to Broke off of Baron Von Bullshit rides again, well done, well done.

ofcourse it makes sense, but it makes sense in a very personal way, like this song I'd say is about a guy who is depressed and then one day a girl tries to come and make him snap out of it.. he's happy she tried but he has to look at the ground to find happiness(dirt is on the ground) as everything else around him has lost its importance.

i dont see how this or the other vid interprets what the songs mean at all. its just cuz its old footage that makes it look good. im not dissing you(intentionally) but i think you should use your own footage to interpret the songs instead of a limited amount of old footy that have nothing to do with what the song means. i mean duck and cover footy in "car" wtf. i know videos arent supposed to be literal to the song word for word but atleast incorporate some meaning into it.
