Sorry but there are far better versions of The Water Music than this! Handel has been a hero of mine (probably the world's first rock star) and this lack luster track sucks the life out of him!! My opion only of course

@ToulBoi Yeah. three reasons:

1) A hornpipe is a rustic dance. Should never be presented as a court dance.

2) This piece was to be first heard on a barge floating down the Thames river serveral hundred yards behind the royal barge. (As a matter of fact, its intention was to reconcile Handel and his majesty George the first of England after a falling out between the two.) And as such, must be played LOUD and ROBUST enough to be heard by the royals ahead.

3) His music is about LIFE and LIVING!

@barochial i wouldn't say this lacks life. it is a recording and usually the power of the sound is cut out by youtube.
