Well, they were either envious or overly curious... Either way, none could match up to the purity of Alice and slowly corrupted the dream from within. Now it drags people in for the sole purpose of killing them.

It could also be that it became so corrupt that it wishes to pull others down and destroy them due to insanity and crippling sadness.

The third Alice was rather young child. Grew up. Became more and more rotten. After she became queen she was... used too many times. And she became old and rots. Scared of death.
The twins. Only Rin was the curious one and Lens tagged along with her looking at what the Alices's aftermath. While Rin was jumping around Lens grave robbed the first and second Alices. For the third Alice he just made her at peace. And Rin none the wiser would never know and still continue there adventure.
The first Alice was corrupted by the power of the sword and started to cut everything down. Than the forest entangled her and she became a legend.
The second Alice was a rather successful composer and everyone loved him. Until he started writing something no one wanted to hear and started composing more and more of it, preforming it too. Until someone went mad and shot him. So they enjoyed the fruits of his labor before his fall.

She learned of the other Alices and was afraid to go like they did so she shut herself away where she THOUGHT she would be safe, but the invitation was the dream's way of getting Rin and Len to kill Miku. Also Rin and Len never met the Meiko, that was a translation error where "First" can also mean "True", being they were almost the true alices.
there are many versions how rin and len died in one of them, they were killed by miku cause she went insane. In another one they were killed by meiko... and so on... but actually u can´t really say what happened to them in the lyrics it says so: The fourth Alice were Twins of the Heart, Bringing their curiousity to Wonderland, Making a door to All kinds of bogus, Big Sister is tough, little brother intelligent, They were near to the first alice, But their dream has yet to awaken.
Everyone's saying Kaito killed himself, but this is such an interpritive song that the visuals help, and in this case, that shot doesn't look like it came from Kaito.
I know it isn't the original video (even though it's one of the best animated) I still think it was the dream that killed Kaito using someone else, possibly Miku.
1. Meiko (Red) was a warrior who got trapped in Wonderland. When she began to realize that this was definately NOT a dream, she got so warped trying to escape that she tried to "cut a path" for herself...
2.Kaito (Blue) was a musician who also got sucked in. He found he could use the power of song to create and destroy. He was color blind, but in Wonderland he could see in colors when someone was bleeding...he went crazy and killed himself.
3. Miku (Green) is the actual "Alice" of "Alice in Wonderland". After she killed the Red Queen she didn't wake up, but twisted and charmed her way to power. She was so paranoid that she locked herself in a tower, slowly rotting away.
4. The Twins were exploring their forest, and found a way into Wonderland. They went through three doors, watched all the events unfold, and at the end Len goes crazy, kills Rin, and wanders until he too meets a grizzly end.
Ahhh riiight... He killed the green Alice... ^^" And they have yet to awaken of the dream (Which the --original-- Alice do) So they were _close_ but didn't make it! ^^

When I first watched a version of this (Not this one) I thought everyone died, but the I read that Miku was terrified of death, sold her soul for immortality, but she also was cursed with only being able to see rotting flesh. I think her story is the worst because she can never leave it.

in this version, len is curious, so as they walk through the forest and they open all the doors he wants a closer look, so he ends up back tracking and picks up the first alice's sword, hence why his half of the heart on his hand is red and bloody. because meiko was looking for a way to be stronger, the Dream gave her the sword but it drives the carrier mad for blood. and thats why in the twins case, len kills rin
@meep913 you got PART of it correct. since Len, over thought things, the "dream" got to his mind easier than it got to Rin. They began to argue a lot, so Len began to get lonely. Since he got lonely, he became mad and decided to kill the only one who has ever given him company... his sister. When they found the first alice's door, Len knew what was on the other side. So when she opened the door, he made a run for it, leaving Rin alone with the killer, but Meiko eventually killed him too.

The twins. Only Rin was the curious one and Lens tagged along with her looking at what the Alices's aftermath. While Rin was jumping around Lens grave robbed the first and second Alices. For the third Alice he just made her at peace. And Rin none the wiser would never know and still continue there adventure.

basically how i see it in this video
The first Alice was corrupted by the power of the sword and started to cut everything down. Than the forest entangled her and she became a legend.
The second Alice was a rather successful composer and everyone loved him. Until he started writing something no one wanted to hear and started composing more and more of it, preforming it too. Until someone went mad and shot him. So they enjoyed the fruits of his labor before his fall.

@guitarqueen313lol Kaito went insane and shot himself, Miku was afraid to grow old. She shut dead out, but her body begann to rot which drives her mad. She keps being queen of the land. Rin and Len made their way through said country after recieving an invitation from the queen and make it far, but Rin opens one door too many. Meiko get's her and kills because she is jealous they where so close to become the real alice. Again, someone goes insane; Len, who can't take his sisters dead.

@sweetnothing Well...yes, he did. And Miku did go mad, but not because of seeing rotting flesh, but she saw the rotting flesh BECAUSE of the madness. She learned of the other Alices and was afraid to go like they did so she shut herself away where she THOUGHT she would be safe, but the invitation was the dream's way of getting Rin and Len to kill Miku. Also Rin and Len never met the Meiko, that was a translation error where "First" can also mean "True", being they were almost the true alices.

Everyone's saying Kaito killed himself, but this is such an interpritive song that the visuals help, and in this case, that shot doesn't look like it came from Kaito.
I know it isn't the original video (even though it's one of the best animated) I still think it was the dream that killed Kaito using someone else, possibly Miku.

There's a theory running around my own fanclub:
1. Meiko (Red) was a warrior who got trapped in Wonderland. When she began to realize that this was definately NOT a dream, she got so warped trying to escape that she tried to "cut a path" for herself...
2.Kaito (Blue) was a musician who also got sucked in. He found he could use the power of song to create and destroy. He was color blind, but in Wonderland he could see in colors when someone was bleeding...he went crazy and killed himself.

4. The Twins were exploring their forest, and found a way into Wonderland. They went through three doors, watched all the events unfold, and at the end Len goes crazy, kills Rin, and wanders until he too meets a grizzly end.

When I first watched a version of this (Not this one) I thought everyone died, but the I read that Miku was terrified of death, sold her soul for immortality, but she also was cursed with only being able to see rotting flesh. I think her story is the worst because she can never leave it.

At this point, the First Alice dies, though they don't explain why. We can assume it was because there were no more Alices left but her. @TheFirstPurplePanda Alice's prison. It then says that Rin is stubborn and Len is smart. Well, Rin wants to open the door, but Len knows they shouldn't. He tries to stop Rin but she won't, so he starts backing away. When Rin opens the door, she sees the Thrid Alice, the Queen, being killed by the First Alice-the Thrid had purposely gone there-and then she starts to run. Except she doesn't make it. The First Alice kills her, and Len, now pretty far away, heads back to see what happened.

The first Alice was cutting the queens red roses( red path) and so she was locked up as a sinner, when the second alice sings the people who hears his song turns into rotton flesh so he went crazy and shot himself, the third alice heard the second alice's song and when she looked in the mirror she only saw rotton flesh, and Len picked up the first alice's sword and killed his sister. you got it all wrong

@MsBuggy10000 Red path= BLOOD, my friend. The First Alice is a killer (that being her sin). The Second Alice's song drive all who hear it insane, himself included; so yes, then he shot himself. The Thrid Alice got one of those 'what-you-want/love-most-turned-against-you' deals; she was a beautiful/adorable girl who only saw herself as rotted and disguisting, and that combined with the general craziness of Wonderland sent her to Nutty-Ville. And see above for our Fourth Alices ^^. THAT's it.

in this version, len is curious, so as they walk through the forest and they open all the doors he wants a closer look, so he ends up back tracking and picks up the first alice's sword, hence why his half of the heart on his hand is red and bloody. because meiko was looking for a way to be stronger, the Dream gave her the sword but it drives the carrier mad for blood. and thats why in the twins case, len kills rin

@meep913 you got PART of it correct. since Len, over thought things, the "dream" got to his mind easier than it got to Rin. They began to argue a lot, so Len began to get lonely. Since he got lonely, he became mad and decided to kill the only one who has ever given him company... his sister. When they found the first alice's door, Len knew what was on the other side. So when she opened the door, he made a run for it, leaving Rin alone with the killer, but Meiko eventually killed him too.

@inkalchemistdesu look for a english version the first alice killed people and she got captured by the forest the second was shot by a mad man the third was stricken with paranoya then the two kids were imprisoned into the nighmarish world that they could no escape they see all the other alices deaths over and over. which I beleive eventually drove them insane .that's pretty much what happens in this song. the third alice still confuses me though I wonder is the queen killing them?
