This game IS the Famicom game. The Famicom and NES soundtracks were the same.

One of the great soundtracks of our time. I used to record video game music so I could listen to it on my Walkman in bed as I slept. And by the way, the last boss' music in Contra 3 sounded so much like Predator.

Are you sure it's this one? I know for a fact that Contra Force is considered to be the black sheep of the series. But yeah, Super C is one of my favorites too.

Censorship, mate. Something to do with Germany not liking Contra's representations of violence against human characters. The players and enemies were all changed to robots as a result. A similar thing happened with Ninja Gaiden, which became "Shadow Warriors" because of the violent connotations of the word ninja. Silly, eh? They've gone back to using the Contra name in PAL territories now, which is probably affecting sales as few people here will recognise the name! :p
