I totally agree this so called "Sport" should be banned in every country. I really dont care what happens to the jockeys, they know what could happen to them when they go into this race, the horses don't. And too make them jump, they may not feel like jumping that day, thats why they get tired and fall, & some poor horses have their lives cut short. Its a disgrace & a waste.

There are vets on the field that check the heart rates of the horses and determine whether the horse is safe to run the next round, or the next meeting.

Actually more horses get hurt jumping hurdles and soft chase fences than they do over proper stiff fences. The horses have more respect for a decent made chase fence. How is it sick? The horses are treated better than flipping riding school ponies and they love there job... did you ever ride a horse down to a fence pulling, ears pricked coming up outside the wings? I doubt it so go back to hugging trees and don't comment about something you know jack shit about.

Yes I read the description and I don't disagree with anything you really say. I have a massive problem with BeccaCullen slating NH racing and saying it's cruel. She has no idea the amount of work and care that go into those horses and how attached we get to each and every one. Sure accidents happen but they do in all equine sports. She has a bad attitude and before she posts comments she should understand how much work and love goes into those horses. They are treated like kings.
i dont tink it should be banned, the trainers owners and jockeys go into the race knowing what could happen and i think people should just accept that it is the greatest race i the world!!! :)
