It makes no sense either! If I were in charge, I would take the previous dubbed episodes but redo the theme sequences to use the original sequences with the dubbed opening and ending music.
Korean animation-importing people do that. I've rarely seen any animation that uses the same theme songs when imported to Korea. Except some in InuYasha. What I'm sad about isn't that they didn't use Butter-fly in the opening but that they replaced it with an... um, terror-song.
