@NightTurkey82 That would not cause exhaust smoke (and certainly not that much), as long as the "oil gas mixture" you're talking about doesn't contain an INSANE amount of oil. Such a mix would require carb retuning to run, because the viscosity increase would cause lean mixture. I commonly run 2-stroke mix when out of straight fuel, with no noticeable exhaust smoke.

@specialoperation Hey, did the oil consumption just randomly start one day, or is this a chronic issue? If the former, check the crankcase breather valve, verify that the sump oil level is not too high, and ensure that the oil is not diluted with fuel. That last one is unlikely due to the carb your engine has. If the latter, that engine is likely at end of service life and needs an overhaul. If you continue to run it with that oil consumption, watch oil level VERY carefully.

@GSRGOPEDRIDER247 tilt mower on its side exhaust facing down for 5 mins. make sure you have oil in in before and after, and have a plug on standby because it will possibly fail.

it smokes because if you tilt it exhaust facing down, the oil runs past the piston rings into the valve spring compartment, which then ends up in the combustion chamber, so it burns oil. you could just take out the rings as well.
