  • I love how the beginning sounds like the movie Rio.

  • Okay, I'll sound like a total noob here:

    Can someone explain to me the Star Wars thing? I've never actually watched any of the movies, so I don't understand where the reference comes from... ^_^;

  • @Saruki02389

The first 20 seconds sound vaguely similar to the song at the end of Phantom Menace, which you can find in the Related Videos bar to the right.

  • @Saruki02389 haven't seen star wars? I would recomend watching them, excellent movies. Start with episodes 4-6 then go the the prequals ;D.

  • THANK. YOU. X3 I WANTED THIS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • do we hear this piece at any other point in MLP? this was such a great tune, but I don't think it happened anywhere else...

  • I hear people saying this sounds like star wars but I don't see the connection.

  • Nearly 8,000 views and not a single dislike. William Anderson is the human male equivilant of Octavia.

  • @Goderich1942 DON'T JINX IT YOU SCHMUCK

  • Wow... I never noticed this before. I only looked back at Season 1 after the Season 2 My Little Pony opener HEAVILY parodied the medal scene of Star Wars Ep IV. The Season 1 opener's closing song sounds very much like Augies Great Municipal Band from Star Wars Ep I. I haven't seen Episode I in ages, so I never noticed it. I may be late to the party, but I got there!

    It could be coincidence, but...

TWO My Little Pony season openers that end with Star Wars references...

    SHO AWESHOME!!! /)^ɛ^(\

  • forward* lol

  • OH MY GOD ITS LUNA.

    EEEEEEEEEE.

  • @mariomaster87 That is Episode 1, Season 1 though. D: We are looking foward to if she appears in Season 2.

  • @sunflower1ization Oh, whoops.

I thought by Episode 2 conclusion it ment season 2, I only noticed it was season 1 after I posted.

But when I saw luna, I was like.

'HOW THE FUCK COULD I HAVE MISSED HER!?'.

  • @mariomaster87 It's okay, but if we don't see Luna I'll get mad.

  • This song WILL bring you to tears! O_O

  • So I wasn't the only one who was reminded of Star Wars

  • I... I just... can't get enough of this music... it's brilliant! Absolutely incredible!

  • My God... the music in this is beautiful.

  • Why must the first 20 seconds worth of music be only 20 seconds? It should be longer, damnit!

  • Pfffffffft, I was just watching this episode earlier today, and I was hoping someone had this music uploaded here. ;w;

    Thank you so much~! <3

  • @oreomario73 I know! :D

  • This is the happiest and most upcheering theme I know.

  • Can you do the Twilight report of EP 8?

    Music there is beautiful.

  • Just the first 20 seconds

    IT CHEERS ME UP ALWAYS!

  • 0:35

    Sad wingboner is sad

  • how did you do this? its very cool :3

  • I never thought that background music from an animated kid's show could bring me to tears.

  • Guess i'm not the only one who was reminded of Star Wars in the song's intro.

00:25 Her tail's coming from her right flank...

  • YES I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS YES

  • This song SO reminds me of the celebration music at the end of Star Wars: Episode I.

  • I wish Daniel Ingram could do away with that insipid main theme. I'm sure it only reminds everyone that this is a show for little girls.

  • @FreedInsanity TBH his revision of the main theme is really good. I know, the first three seconds of it are cheesy to many of us (who are very much welcomed by the creators but still not the intended main audience), but honestly, the rest of it is pretty awesome.

  • @FreedInsanity, who cares?

If that's all they can think about when watching this show, then I feel sorry for them.

  • Comment removed

  • The music during the Ewok party in Jedi reminded me of how good the first few seconds of this music makes me feel. I was even about to send you a message asking for it.

  • @GalacticBloopy I thought of the EXACT same scene the first time I heard this, and every time following

  • This is some of the most gorgeous music on television! William Kevin Anderson's style hearkens back to Classical styles like Mozart, Brahms and Richard Strauss; while blending in modern styles like Rock and Jazz. Excellent work! Can't wait to hear what he has in store for us next season!

  • This music actually has emotion.

Thats... surprising but lovely. I love it.

  • Space Odyssey at about 0:57. Seems like this show really like to make references to it.

  • HURRAY WE BLEW UP THE DEATH STAR HURRAY

  • @SixSpeedPony I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • @SixSpeedPony This scene makes a whole bunch of people think of Jedi, apparently.

  • @SixSpeedPony Actually, I'd say this starts out closer to the celebration at the end of Phantom Menace, though I can see the similarities to the Ewok party on Endor with a quiet bit where we get to see dead Jedi. The scary thing it I was going to go ask InfinityDash if they'd do exactly this, and when I went to the channel, there it was.

  • So, where do you keep your Altar for Daniel Ingram?

  • This is just a masterpiece. It goes so well with the various moments in the scene and with the perfect transits from intense and joyous to calm, sad yet hopeful etc.

  • Would you be able to rip out the music that starts about 5 minutes into "Fall Weather Friends"? I would REALLY love to see that ripped.

    if you dont mind....

  • I love this fanbase so much.

  • This music is so amazingly beautiful! It should totally be MLP: Music is Magic. SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • Wow, that's a powerful song right there. It has so much emotion.

  • It says a lot for the talents working on this show that even though the dialogue is great the music and animation alone are sufficient to communicate the story and drive me to manly tears.

  • I d'awwwed ; w ;

  • Have a sudden length of free time or something?

  • *Cries manly tears of joy due to 0:20 - 1:02*

  • Wow. Who needs dialogue?

This in itself just tells a beautiful story of something epic.

Freakin William Anderson. How does he do it?

  • @chocobonight

The dialogue is very good. The music is very good. Together? LEGENDARY.

  • @Vnewbie In the hands of any other team, the show would probably just be another half-assed piece of crap. I'm glad Lauren Faust's art style was used and that the FiM team in general did such an astounding job.

    This show kicks ass.

  • Amazing as always. It's great to see such time and dedication put into the music as they did for every aspect of it. Also I just now noticed you have some songs on Celestia Radio up so cheers man!
