  • Looked like he was a bit more feisty in his younger years. Imagine him talking to Bill O'Reilly when he was like that!

  • love the title haha

  • I am a Ron Paul supporter, he does not endorse drugs but the legalization of drugs/Personal Responsibility which are two very distinct ideas. Ron Paul 2012!

  • ROFL, that is the best fucking ROn PAUL video ever!!!

  • why don't they put you on a diet, you're a little overweight!! haha

  • holy shit! Ron Paul should say "shut the fuck up FAT MAN!" LOL

  • OMG. FUCKEN EPIC. HOLY SHIT!

  • fuck.....that was BOSSS!

  • fuck morton.

  • @souljaboyisbad Are you a necrophiliac?

  • I think the reason Ron Paul doesn't talk like this any more is because he expects people to embrace liberty or tyranny. People either want freedom or are too brainwashed to think for themselves. No need to get heated or in a shouting match over it. WE SHOULD BE THE ONES SHOUTING NOT HIM! Did you see how irate this guy was. I mean, he was SHAKING while he asked for the government to use military force on it's own soil against it's own people. wtf! Thanks for posting this.

  • This is how Ron Paul should act now. I wanna see him get mean.

  • @dpg077923117 preaching to the choir. :)

  • @dpg077923117 I've been saying the same thing for a while. He's right. But acting like Mister Rogers is costing him votes.

  • where's the rest of this video!?

  • @spazz3z thiere's a link to the whole show in the suggested stuff on the right, Ron Paul on Trash TV, Part 1. click that.

i just put this up because it's funny, and true, and we should share ron paul's message with as many people as possible.

the video isn't mine, and there's at least another link to just this clip. i really like the ownage of fatso, and especially like the more belligerent ron paul.

    Ron's too pacifistic nowadays.

  • @ZamolxisReborn He's exactly how America needs him now a days... When you argue like he did back then he comes of as if he is obnoxious and rude and such... he has paitentience today and it shows that he's fair and level headed and he lets other individuals make them selves look like fools and then he shows America how wrong those individuals are!... but everyone is entitled to their opinion... we share the same view though... Ron Paul 2012!

  • @spazz3z oh, yeah...he's MUCH better now...

    subdued....

    incoherent....

    unheard by the masses...

THAT's exactly what we really need from a leader!

    .

if we're not willing to talk about important issues, and YES, argue about them when disagreements arise, nothing will get done! all the sugar-coating, P.C. crap doesn't work.

  • @ZamolxisReborn well he was slammed all over the place in the rest of this show... which was a big thing at the time... I like that those that know about him and his ideas are for supporting him... You can be elected with out slander ads, something else I like that he stays away from... He's outspoken and quite understandable when he makes Perry, Bachman, Romney, Cain, Santorum and Obama look like asses... He's exactly the Amount of Candidate that we need!

  • the next words outta the kid's mouth was probably "you suck" lol what dumbfuck

  • @Hesheli27 more like probably:

"wahhhh! mommy, that mean man was mean to me!!! wahhh!!!"

    .

'cause only a baby feels the need for the government to be his perpetual nanny.

  • @CrimsonCoastie It's a common misconception that being fat is a flaw of a character or gluttony. If we would like to start a war on obesity we should then prohibit access to easily digestible carbohydrates. GIVE UP on that :) There would be underground bread and chocolate market :)

  • @drlex i think you're missing the point.

the MAIN point is that a war on obesity would be silly, just like the drug war is(although a lot of democrats ARE starting a war on obesity)

    .

and a second point, that you won't like, 'cause you're probably fat, is that your weight IS a choice. I used to weigh 165, not i weigh 195--you know why?! 'cause i ate too much. so now i'm trying to lose it. it's called "choice." nobody forces you to eat too much. be happy you're not starving, like so many others r

  • @ZamolxisReborn thank you for your replay. I have good news for you. It's not because you ate too much. You just ate wrong foods. Throw away white rice, bread, pasta, sweets, soda and everything with high fructose corn syrup and it would be ok. Trust me. You can eat protein, fats as much as you like to not feel hungry. After some time you will stop overeating naturally and your weight will drop like stone. You don't have to torture yourself on a treadmill neither. Hugs

  • @drlex do you seriously expect me to take nutrition advice from "drlex," who is, incidentally, also offering me hugs?

    .

    troll much?

  • @ZamolxisReborn Actually I'm pretty sure you won't take my advice, like most people. Just wanted to share something that worked for me.

  • Ron Paul has taught me the word "demagogue," this show was filled with nothing be demagogues.

  • Haha, that fat dude just got Paul'd!

  • @CrimsonCoastie nah, in his world he wouldn't even be allowed to buy a fridge because people use fridges to get fat. everybody knows that! ;)

  • @ZamolxisReborn Aaaah, i see! Fridge makes people fat! lolz! :D

  • that's one hell of a headline man.

  • @danogzilla many thanks. :)

    i try.

  • HELL NOOOO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA>. Gotta love ron paul

  • wow, it one way it was kind of funny but in another way is very rude to say that. Fortunately Paul doesn't talk this way anymore. If he did, he probably wouldn't have made as far as he has.

  • @unfortunatebeam thumbs down to you, sir.

if a fag guy wants to give ME lectures about my health, i'd smack him down too.

    .

Ron Paul had a great point, and i wish he would talk like this MORE nowadays.

  • @unfortunatebeam If you watched the entire video, I think you would understand why Ron responded this way. It's a very trashy program, and he was up against the wall the entire time being screamed at and ridiculed.

  • @getthepoooffmybum i say we put a lock on the fat kid's fridge and outlaw twinkies.

  • Ahhhh man! Did you see the sadness in that boys face when he finally heard the truth! Hahaha. That boy went home and ate spaghetti o's while his momma rubbed his head and told him he's fine the way he is. Haha!! Hilarious! Ron Paul dropping truth bombs!

  • awww...man...i got my first dislike on this video. :(

i guess a hater saw the video.

    .

well, anyway, some fun stats: most people watching this video are actually middle aged, not crazy college kids--thank you all for supporting liberty. and, i guess...tell your children about Ron Paul? :)

  • @ZamolxisReborn I just gave a thumbs up, Ron Paul was schooling this newb about how the system is confusing us with their wars and it's just a pretense to control our freedoms.

  • pwned

  • Uh, he's not "endorsing drugs", you dummy-he's stating his opposition to creating a black market by making them illegal.

  • @pretorious700 YOU're the dummy.

    .

would you have seen the video if i described, in perfect english, and with perfect grammar and syntax, ron paul's exact views on the legalization of drugs?

    .

it gets views. not many, but some.

it's a better title than: "ron paul debates somewhat overweight advocate of drug-enforcement marshall law, endorses the legalization of drugs as a more viable alternative, and points out the irony of the fat gentleman's argument regarding self-control"

  • We the people...Need to get our govt. under controle. Ron Paul 2012

  • @singley9 if you believe the government was ever yours, you're a fool.

but "we the people" is nice language, even thought the people didn't write it.

    just sayin...

  • @ZamolxisReborn We the people now have the internet. Allows all to come together. Ask Libya. Would the word "System" change anything? It's not mine, It's ours.

  • @singley9 dude, the pro-communism thread is somewhere else.

this is a ron paul video, if you didn't get the memo.

  • @ZamolxisReborn please don't use the term "just saying" it makes you sound rediculous

  • @vajoynus please don't misspell "ridiculous" while correcting my writing style. it makes YOU sound rediculous.

    ...just sayin...

    :p

  • Ron paul is a winner

  • @bacon6661000 well...not exactly.

    but he's a good man.

  • @ZamolxisReborn He's a 12-term congressman- he is a winner, and a great man.

  • @UserName222222 You'll forgive me, but "12-term congressman" is not exactly a compliment for anyone nowadays, not even Ron Paul. he hasn't accomplished much in congress, though he's usually always on the right side of issues. he'll hopefully be recognized as one of the founders of the Tea Party.

    .

I like the guy, and most of his policies, but I just wish he'd be a better orator, so he'd convince more people to agree with him. i agree with the message, but a lot of people don't like the messenger

  • wish ron was that young now :l

  • It's a really bizarre time to be alive when an FDR Democrat like myself likes Ron Paul more than any other presidential candidate, including what'shisface in the White House.

  • The best video i've ever seen ever

  • @ColonizingTheSun hah. it's one of my favorites, too.

    tell your friends.

    .

    oh, and just say no.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHA! This is hillarious. I find it very interesting how he's progressed over the years. I like him when he was young, and I also like him now. It's no wonder he still has all that energy. . . just look at him 20 some odd years ago.

  • Ron Paul sounds like Barney Fife when he yells, It's kinda funny.

  • Ron Paul 1988

  • Ron does not endorse drugs, he endorses the legalization of drugs.

  • @SketchyGamerMan you're, of course, correct.

but i was being provocative, trying to get some views. ;)

  • @ZamolxisReborn actually he doesn't endorse drugs, he doesn't endorse legalizing drugs, he endorses the RIGHT for states to legalize drugs without intervention of the federal government. His cause is not so much about making everything legal. It's about individual states having the right to determine their own laws. It makes perfect sense. Every state has a different demographic and ideological makeup which sets particular legislation. You cant have legislation which speaks for 100% of Americans

  • @Schredder222 i don't think you read my response.

  • @ZamolxisReborn my response was directed @SketchyGamerMan

  • @ZamolxisReborn Yeah, but accuracy is important. Some people don't watch the video but just see the title and think Ron Paul is a drug user. He just thinks that people should have the right to make those choices for themselves, even if they are poor choices to make.

  • @SketchyGamerMan It would be more accurate to say that he opposes the costly and ineffective drug war.

BTW, I LOL'd at Ron's suggestion to the audience member.

  • @GTvlogOFFICIAL

He definitely is against the drug war, but his reasoning mostly comes from his libertarian beliefs that people should have a right to do whatever they want with their own body.

  • @SketchyGamerMan thumbs up for you, good sir!

  • Comment removed

  • @SketchyGamerMan WRONG! Ron Paul does not endorse or want to legalize drugs. He wants people to be able to make their own decisions... I'll cite him "As a physician, father, and grandfather, I abhor drugs. I just know that there is a better way — through local laws, communities, churches, and families — to combat the very serious problem of drug abuse than a massive federal-government bureaucracy.” -Ron Paul from RonPaul.com

I'm supporting Ron Paul... you need to get your facts right!

  • @spazz3z you need to get a sense of humor.

  • @SketchyGamerMan words matter. it's called "getting more views"

    .

look through my comments. i am perfectly aware of what ron paul believes. and perfectly capable of using the english language for my own devious purposes. "endorses drugs" is a much better title. sorry, bud, you need to sell it, and shock value is a good way to do that.

    .

it doesn't matter if you're 100% right, if no one listens to you.

  • God Bless the USA if they get it wrong again and if they do not vote for this man who is the last bastion of political integrity left in this corrupt two party system that we’ve passively allowed and voted for, time and time again! Vote Ron Paul 2012 and more importantly support and volunteer for his campaign!

  • Yeah, whaddya say Fats? Pass a law, you reckon? Pawnage.

  • does anyone know what this clip is from?

  • @mhjohnson29 Trash TV 1988.

You can see the whole show on youtube, but this is my favorite clip.

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS IS NOW MY FAVORITE RON PAUL VIDEO EVER! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bane349 haha! me too.

    thumbs it up.

  • YES!!!

  • "We need to understand the more government spends, the more freedom is lost...Instead of simply debating spending levels, we ought to be debating whether the departments, agencies, and programs funded by the budget should exist at all." — Ron Paul

  • Oh shit! That guy got Rocked!

  • lmao....owned.. and he makes a great point in the process. Nanny state for about 90% of most things is very bad.

  • Very funny, Ron Paul is awesome.

  • @russkie69 i agree with what i assume is your basic desire--to decrease the number of poor people--there's only -only one problem, bud:

poor people have been voting democrat for 50 years(and they're still poor)

the democrats will have no constituents if they ever ACTUALLY solve poverty in america--that's why democrats are (slightly)worse than republicans. Ron Paul is a libertarian, and he wants you to have the choice to fail or succeed based on your abilities and hard(or lack thereof) work.

  • @ZamolxisReborn i would also point out that democrats have controlled congress most of the time since WWII, and poverty has only INCREASED in the US, not despite of their social programs, but BECAUSE of all the social programs. think about it for a second before you reply.

they have removed the incentives for people to work, thus making the whole country poorer as a result.

  • @awedax you mean it HASN'T worked?!...no way!

    :)

  • @russkie69 but the argument only holds if we assume you're a reasonable person.

and that you want to help people rather than spew mindless propaganda such as "zero tolerance," war on drugs," and "safety first."

you have to look at the results of policies, not the names of those policies.

  • @russkie69 being fat has everything to do with it!

more people die of being fat in the US than from drugs.

morally, it's more beneficial to prevent people from being fat, than from doing drugs. because fat kills.

but you're right, it's crazy to ban fat people, and the same argument should be applied to drugs, by reasonable people.

  • I like Ron Paul but I can't get behind the notion of churches getting more involved in our lives. How long will we "believe" in this fairy tale called god?

  • @kraksc

    please stay on topic.

church-going is voluntary; government laws and regulations are not. this video has nothing to do with God--it's about freedom.

Ron Paul is about freedom(and pwoning fat noobs).

  • @ZamolxisReborn Dr. Paul brought religion to the front of debate by inserting it into his answer therefore it is on topic. Are you afraid that his thoughts on the subject of religion and personal choice will distance voters?

  • @kraksc you've missed the point:

it makes as little sense for the government to regulate fat people as it does for it to regulate drugs.

Ron Paul is not shoving religion down anyone's throat anymore than he would force that dumb, fat kid to loose weight--the discussion is about freedom and personal choice.

PS: if you want a fight about religion, find an appropriate video, send me a link, and i'd be more than happy to debate you on it.

  • @kraksc I know this is a old comment, but I had to say this: I believe what he meant on that is that people in turn should help each other with the instrument of their choice. Whether that be church, or family, or friends, or all. What he believes is in the end, it comes down to the individual and their ambitions for their own self-preservation.

  • @draconis183 I really like Ron Paul, but I think in this case, you're rationalizing for him. He delivered that line too fast--it's a campaign slogan he had. Sorry, Ron Paul is a good man, but he's still a politician.

While he may honestly believe in God, THAT part of his answer was inconsistent with the rest of his libertarian views.

    .

I'm not an atheist, but I don't think politicians should offer God as a solution to any of our problems; mostly because I don't think God listens to politicians.

  • @ZamolxisReborn He wasnt saying "Ask God for help" he was saying that we used to rely on churches and communities to instill values into people and for supporting one another. Now, many people feel that government has to step in to tell us what's "right" and "wrong". In other words...if Cocaine was legal, would I go out and do it? Absolutely not. Why? Because I know better. Dont need government for that.

  • @Cactusgod11 it's still a campaign slogan. sorry.

  • @draconis183 i'm sorry, but that line about churches was a clear campaign slogan.

    .

i like ron paul, but i'm always saddened when his supporters forget that HE, too, is a politician. he's been in D.C. for decades, he knows how to get elected.

    .

ps: watch him in the house--he's got the parliamentary procedures down to a science. for some of you small gov types, you might find it scary just how well your idol knows his politics. we, libertarians, should idolize NO ONE! (not ever good ole' ron)

  • @ZamolxisReborn hmmm so a politician should hate his job and be really slow and crappy at it if he believes in small government paleocon/ libertarian views.... Okay, gotcha. I'm gonna run on that ticket.

  • Ron Paul OWNED LMFAO!!!

  • oh ron, don't bother. once you opened your mouth, there is no way anyone in the audience understands a word you're saying. btw, please run in 2012, we need you!

  • LOL - Ron Paul made a point and pwned him.

  • I wish some of that Ron Paul would make an appearance every so often. But either way, I still love the guy. One thing I would pay money to see is Ron Paul debate socialist Obama in the 2012 elections..That would be sweet for sure!!

  • @xyze2008 obama would never dabate ron paul. he doesn't want to, and he doesn't have to.

    .

also, i'm thinking obama might win. THIS ron paul is no more.

  • This guy is advocating Martial Law for the drug war

  • @ShatterNWO american's were REALLY stupid in the 80s

  • @DrRonPaul

"american's were REALLY stupid in the 80s"

Looks like the stupidity trend continues in the 21st century.

  • @ShatterNWO WATT? you mean the fat guy right? cause ron paul is for limited government control if any.

  • @lostabyss Yeah the fat guy and the woman

  • @ShatterNWO he really is. and people are agreeing with him. that's kinda the scary white elephant in the room.

  • Gotta love Ron Paul!

  • Host, Morton Downey Junior, died of lung cancer.

  • God, can't someone 'unearth' this footage of him next time they are discussing food laws in NY.

  • @stevenavarro just don't live there if you don't like it.

    .

as a side-note, the trans-fat ban is one of the few govt. regulations we can all get behind. trans fat kills. period.

there IS a place for government regulations, and trans-fats are a clear place where they will do more good than harm.

  • @ZamolxisReborn what if i wanna do harm to myself? the government is not my nanny. im not pro trans fat- just anti big government. but i guess you need the government to protect you from eating nasty stuff and making poor, ill informed choices.

  • Thats so great to see. Hes so mellow nowadays...

  • @joelhigh Rand is pretty good, and more lively.

    .

a bit of a sellout, but still better than a lot of others.

  • fuckin awesome ron, fuckin awesome. Great clip
