@najmul456 I have had two vehicles in the last twenty years go thru the ice and neither one of them had broken windows when they were pulled out of the lake. Water floods the inside as a vehicle sinks there for eleminating the presure and leaving the glass intact

@poolboyinla I met your uncle recently through a mutual friend and he showed us the video last night. He said the ice was a drivable thickness everywhere else, they had the bad luck to go over a spot that had been worn thin by a spring welling up underneath. As the spring water hits the surface ice from beneath it thins it out from the bottom, no indication from the top of how thin the ice actually is.
