I like how they keep saying that it takes a billion dollar factory to produce a hard drive so there device needs more money. Well no one built a billion dollar hard drive factory without a proof of concept model & engineering toward it. If you listen to the explanation of how the device works it does not even make sense. Capture of counter emf gains you energy but creates more current draw supplying the motor, net result is no energy gained. No free lunch.

I can see your not a lawyer, Steorn claims to have a working device but will not,(cannot) show it. Its not up to ME to disprove it. Its up to HIM to prove that it works. My opinion is based on knowledge of Science & his claims make no sense. The working theory is incorrect. It goes against conservation of energy. Do you understand his basic claims???

well the pulse in the orbo design pruduces a flat line current trace. indicatin no back e m f in the system. and this is very surprising to some electrical engineers who are used to seeing back emf as standard. so the scientific community needs to understand this better than it seems to currently. becasue it is and important aspect of future electronic engineering.

@FREEGARYMCKINNON Here is the FLAW in the Orbo thinking. Back EMF in a simple inductor is caused when current changes & moves the magnetic field. When the voltage increases current flow INCREASE is blocked. If you remove the back EMF the energy you capture is replaced by an increase in current flow. In other words any energy captured by back EMF is replaced by higher current through the device. This is why it has a flat line current trace, (but the current is HIGHER then with the EMF).

- Of course they do not think for one second, otherwise they could find that in history 1000s so called Perpetuum Mobile existed & none of them worked.

Well, that's how they proceed - using scientific method. However, they had to put Economist advert in order to "obset scientists enough" because no one wanted to look at their stuff. (In)Validation is ongoing and Steorn do not seek any funding till publications arrive. Looks fair to me.

I don't know enough about their claims to say anything one way or the other. The device doesn't impress me, but then I haven't seen an explaination of it. What is the miracle? Are there hidden springs? What is the deal with this thing? Please give me a link or some clue.

I do. I've been following the antics of these crooks for some time now. In a nutshell, it's a tired old scam that claims to produce something from nothing by violating the laws of thermodynamics. They say they're not seeking investor money, but have taken in many millions. Their only public demonstration was a HUGE failure. They claim that they don't even know how it works, and have hand selected the worst pseudoscientists to validate it.
