@MarkHarrellJr The scary thing is that anybody who has such an obession, the killer or the profiler, share similar tendencies, although one carries out the killings, another wants to know all the details why. A hobby is a hobby, but somethings are scary to question and have curiosities. A profilier is in the closet, what happens when he comes out can be positive or negative. Remember that the killers read detective stories, well so did the profiliers according to this.
@Kgheld being from milwaukee i have read a lot about this case. his parents left him and fought a lot his father was very religious and didn't want a lot to do with him and his mother ran away he lived with his grandmother for a long time when he started to commit his crimes he didn't have good parents and also showed lots of other warning signs.
I find it funny that the profiler always says, father figure isnt present, and then goes BINGO when that is confirmed-I mean come on-have they ever made a profile where they claimed the killer grew up with perfectly normal parents or upbringing? seems Dahmer had nice parents, did he also put that down in his profile for him before he got caught? I wonder..
@Kgheld his parent were great, except the dad had a slight quirky habit of beheading squirrels during the full moon or if micky d's ran out of chicken mcnuggets.
mom would wash the heads and save them for her famous custom fermented squirrel head pie.
other than thiese minor issues ,jeffs house was a loving environment.
@bobo007xx we all have a bit of quirk in us-and hey, a lot of people eat a lot of things many of us would find repulsive. what I meant was mostly that profiles are made with many many criteria in them, and then when someone is found they only concentrate on what is true to the alleged criminal and discard everything else they got wrong. I think this is also called cold reading lol
Great documentary, i've always been really interested with Robert Ressler he's a very knowledgeable man. Wish i was American so i could join the F.B.I.
Thanks for the upload jesusmalaark11 much appreciated!
When describing "the mind of a serial killer", Ressler often explains "lack of father figure" as one of the risk factors of becoming one. In "Criminal Behaviour: A Psychosocial Approach", Bartol & Bartol list it as arguably the least important factor -- the one that "must be combined with others" to be a real factor. Same with poverty. Kids are more likely to offend if their peers reject them rather than if they "just" live in poverty. Sick job! Literally. Active listening at it's best?
Im waiting for the Sit-com to come out, this was a really funny show, but needs a little more jokes and things......what do u think?

Very grateful for this man's labors. May God protect his mind from all that he has to see/think/feel.
