Hmm . . . I see no reason why you couldn't plug any old effect into this beastie and have a foot-activated momentary on switch for anything. Seems to me it's a relatively simple momentary switch connected to a small effects loop. It'd be interesting to use it for an octave or distortion pedal, only employing it for certain notes or phrases. Hm hm hm . . .
Nice demo Chappers. I'm adding this to my pedalboard very soon. I've been using Glab's GSC on my pedalboard for a few months now and I am loving it. Have you ever tried it?
This pad makes it so your wah pad is only in your effects loop (modding the regular sound of your guitar) when your foot is actually on it. Otherwise it's not affecting your sound at all - true bypass.
Impressive but this functionality comes as standard with Morley Wah pedals. The Tremonti and the Bad Horsey definitely have this. There is no switching used on either of these models. As soon as you step on them they start working. I think this is great (that's why I own a Tremonti Wah)and always thought that the Dunlop models lacked good functionality as they don't incorporate this.
true my friend. but this is for all those who dont like the sound of the Morley's like myself, so this gives the dunlops etc the functionality that they have, thats why its AWESOME! :)
thats the one thing i hate about my slash wah is haveing to click it on and off, only problem with this thing is i have a habbit of leaving my foot on the wah when im sitting, that and i dont think my mrs would be to happy with me wanting to spend more money on guitar gear :)
so for the first time I'm upgrading from the gear I originally started playing with,
but seriously Chappers, I can't afford an orange head, cab, a PRS, and a gawesome looking g-lab pad, plus a wah pedal to use with it, not to mention the whole "car insurance" thing i have to pay and "gas" :d
haha
thanks for all the great vids, are you ever going to do some demo's of this thing with some different pedals?
Pretty cool product. I was thinking why bother when you could just buy a Morley Wah for about $99 USD and already have that feature built in - but then again, I like the sound of my vintage Dunlop, so I guess this is cooler than it first appears.
Good video. Don't take this the wrong way but I really have no idea how an average player like yourself manages so many endorsements :S It really does puzzle me how players like Rick Graham who are infinitely more skilled than yourself don't get anywhere near as many.
There are thousands of players better than me, It's really nothing to do with how good a player you are.. It's how much exposure you can give a product, and wether you can give that exposure in the way the company wants. I like Rick I think he's great. I get endorsed because I get 3000 views per day here, I am signed in a band touring with acts like Lost Prophets, and I do session work for Universal...plus I don't take myself too seriously :-)
I think thats a stupid statement, You could have all the skill in world and still be a crap composer. And thats what its about. And so what if he doesnt get endorsed, its not even about getting endorsed and it proves nothing.
Dude... no matter how good you get, nobody will want to work with you if you're gonna be a dick. Half the reason Rob is getting so much exposure is because he is a good guy (or at least knows how to act like one)
rob, thats quite nice wah. im now looking for some cheap and good wah, but that G-labs are not here in Slovakia :( what you think about Behringer hellbabe? they are about 50 dollars in my country
No because the power is coming from the G-Lab device and not the Wah, it only sends power to the WAh when it is needed, you can also power it with an adapter :-)
Hey monkey Lord =P. first of all, dont do serious because silly is G-awesome! And with regards to your advice on scales (thanks by the way) ive learnt the pentatonics and found this old scale book which im systematically trawling through lol, should keep me busy!
Any ideas for how to write better solos? Mine often sound the same. Anyway, thanks for ur time as always =) L8rz M L (Monkey Lord)
Thanks mate, and I think you can safely bet that my reviews will be kept "Special" for ever... Actually I have some very exciting news on that front coming very soon :-) Try using a different mode/Scale per chord in your proggression.. treat each chord like a seperate song :-)
I thought it was a piece of shit to start off with, then you explained the "side tone changer thing". Man, thats awesome. I need one of these, but the price is quite high :(
Awesome! I see tremendous potential in this device. As always, thank you Rob for your informative, interesting and undeniably funny contributions. You help me better my playing everytime =]. Rock on \m/ .
This is very rad, I'm glad you showed it to us. I really like the concept and can see how it would diversify options on a pedalboard tenfold! Now, will G-Lab products be available internationally?
Yeah mate, I am making videos for them every month.. exhausted mate, been at a trade show all week and then loads of work at home :-) ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz
So basically, it's for when you want to use your wah, then turn it off but without having to kick the pedal forward to change your tone. I like it.

wait i dont think i understand here, its probably the fact that i myself dont own a wah pedal
but if i understand correctly, you pay $99 to save urself the trouble of clicking it on and off?
AZNman11111 3 years ago
you're right, you dont understand... research True bypass and you'll get it.

Message from the distributor:
They will retail at £99.99 when they enter the shops - for about a month we will be selling them at £79.99 direct, just to kick things off.
So please point anyone who is interested towards the blackhawkmusic site - they will be ready to ship the beginning of next week 30th June.
We will have e-commerce up in a few days, but until then all they have to do is call us and place an order.
