hey, meinste es wäre möglich, mal gerade eben die ungefähren maße anzugeben? also in welcher höhe und entfernung sind der laser und die kamera vom objekt entfernt...? die laserbewegung ist rein rotatorisch und nicht translatorisch?
Does anyone know the name of the song in this video? I wanna get that album or single. I also want to hear other music like this and music they made. I am trying to do a lyrics search but with no luck yet. I can't get that out of my head.
It's incredible how companies can still market their products in the price range of 3,000-30,000 dollars for the same thing as one that is nearly gratis. Sure it can vary in resolution and accuracy, and it may be a bit harder to use. But still, it achieves the same effect in the end - it pro-derevo.ru tangible things. I just don't get it. If amateurs can do this - why don't commercial companies target us?

@HimmiJoe comercal companies use the phase shift of the reflected beam to calculate distance, this uses a camera and uses the brightness to find distance. Commercial laser scanners work in any lighting on most materials over relatively huge distances with almost unlimited accuracy, hence the price large price tag :P
have you tried to place the laser verticaly (so it lights along the vertical) and rotate the model smoothly and slowly 360 degrees? I think it would be much faster and easier. The only question is if the program will be able to render on the vertical (left to right)
@94Lorenz line lasers are usually quite expensive, so you can either get a normal laser and shine it through the stem of a wine glass or get a torch and on the end put two pieces of opaque tape leaving a very thin gap
in your discribtion you have a link to download the software.. is that the free one? or the illegal downloadable one? and if it's the last.. the link does't work by me, can you put a new link in it?
but that is the freeware, i want to download it with torrent/nzb, so i can hafe the real version! or soen't work that properly? and if i hafe the free ware can i save is to .obj?
Yes, you can test the free version. The differences between the two versions are available on the website. I work in the video with the full version which I bought.
Superb! Wonderful job. Could you please put the file online on Rapidshare, as I'm extremely interested in this one. A few more questions: do you have the best results with the Red laser or did you also try a green one? Which settings do you use for you webcam (as I have the same, but the results never look so good as yours).
This program has come a long way since it was first released and now it does beautiful scans. I think I will make one soon to complement my wood router.

How did you scan the top of the head? When I trie that, the head was very close to the scan which made it bigger than the rest of the scans.
Also, how did you add the original color to your scan?

What kind of files? The Figure is on Turbosquid. See link on the right.
I have only a red Laser. Settings are different for each object. Try the Laserline darker during scanning. Too bright, makes a rough surface quality.

I have a few questions, mainly because I tried this yesterday and had an utter failure, lol.
1. Does the room have to be in complete darkness?
2. I'm scanning in a dark blue colored object, does that matter?
3. Do the calibration points need to be bigger than the object?
4. Last question, does the laser need to be completely on the calibration plane? Or can it be going off the sides?
Nice scanning :)
Giganotosaurus1993 2 years ago
1. No
2. Yes, bright is better. Take the case of dark objects powder.
3. Yes, you scan only the aera of calibration points
4. Out of calibration plane is no problem

Can only the plasticine and metal shading be choosen? Reflected brilliace data of the laser should be used to store information of material roughness.
In this video, clicking to right then to left is very boring.
