Good job man with coming out. I'm proud of you. I'm trying to balance being a Bisexual Christian guy and it's a hard road to travel. P.S. Your eyes had me in a trance the entire video. Just saying. LOL
I do give you due credit for being courageous, no argument there, yet, can you imagine what it would have been like if you were black, or say asian, in addition to being gay? (apparently, we our spirits missed voting in your belief system) . Lastly, have you ever considered the possibility that maybe there's no god?
"...He gave His life to atone for the sins of all mankind. His was a great vicarious gift in behalf of all who would ever live upon the earth.
We solemnly testify that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary. He was the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten Son in the flesh, the Redeemer of the world." THE LIVING CHRIST
The church's stance on gays isnt going to change. Howevere, press on and i know the members can be very cold to gays, but they just dont understand. Its a sin not to love your neighbor so if they dont, thats their problem. Please stay active. This is the true church. Good luck out there!
I'm a hetero old man. 40 years ago, I would have wanted to beat you up.
It took me this long to appreciate people who have the courage to be who they are.
Doesn't matter about your sexuality or religion. Just that you are so honest about it, and obviously a caring and loving person.
I'd give almost anything to redo my life having the convictions and strength that you already possess. Whatever spiritual quality you have, it's a gift.
Thank you for an inspiring video, which - no doubt - will help others to love and accept themselves… You are the best! Be proud and remain faithful to yourself and your own beliefs.
I'm Mormon too :) And let me just tell ya- You really are an absolutely amazing person! Although I am straight, I support homosexuality 100%. You are so incredibly brave for getting up in front of your entire ward and exposing the real you. I can't even imagine how nervous you must have been! I really hope that the church's stance on homosexuality changes too. Just remember that Heavenly Father does love you, and he longs to hear your prayers. I'll be praying for you too. I have hope :)
coolair00, im not gay but i sincerely hate shitheads like you. if u think that being gay is wrong than u can die in a fucking pit. i try to accept christianity but now i think christianity is so FUCKING stupid. being christian is supposed to be about being kind. hating on an entire culture is being evil. if i had the chance to kill hitler or you, i would only barely choose hitler. u need to rethink ur way of life. because it is WRONG.
i see all the pain in your eyes, and i cry for you. Please be strong and know that you are not defective and that no matter who you are, gay or not, God loves you. It is so wrong how the church rejects homosexuality. HUGS to you hun.
Stay strong man. Please don't fall into the fallacies of the world. It's alright to be gay, even though, many do condemn it. It is just one challenge that God has placed before you. I am a mormon, and I do accept Gay's as real people. In fact many are my friends. Don't let the world disuade you from the church though. Even though you're Bishop said that, he is still human after all. Everyone makes mistakes.
@ToushiKatou00 God does not make mistakes. Homosexual are damned by Gods decree, no matter how you try to justify it. It is in fact NOT alright to be gay and a Christian as one contradicts the other. It is also an abborahtion of nature and goes against the natural order and the already damaged family unit.
BF, I really admire you for the courage and the strength, and I think it's really hard to stand out there and tell everyone, but hey if they accept you great, and if there are those that don't oh well they dont know that not having you as a friend is a great loss to them, just be happy, be gay and let the world go around ppl are just that, ppl, they cant live and they cant let people live the lives they choose to live...and I congratulate you in all you have accomplished...John
@elhae2 Stay away. Stay far, far aware from the schizophrenic institution that is the Church. A good place to start is to read today's New York Times Sunday Magazine cover story ( 17 June 12011) on a sad, sad, gay man turned born again Christian. The comments on the news piece speak volumes.
mormons have what you call a sexist abomination for a religion. can you really call it a religion? or a major cult? a planet with a million virgins? are you all retarded or all on major acid? pathetic dogs of this religion, listen now, your very ideas are pointless, and your religion is pointless to listen to, you will never get women in this life, and the next life, you will not get any women as well >;3 it is obvious and the innevitable ending has been set in stone.
So did the church ex-communicate you? I would challenge to turn to science and drop the grand fairy tale. We Athiests accept you, for who you are. Seek real physical evidence of the existance of a God. If you do this , you will find a baseless fairy tale , ment to scare us into a singular line of thinking. LOGIC!
The Mormon church is wrong....Type in Bill McKeevor and he has videos on youtube that explain how Joseph Smith lied and how the church has polished up the history of the church.
I am so proud of you for staying true to yourself. I don't think being Chriistian or Mormon has to mean that you're anti-gay because I'm Christian, considering converting to being Mormon, and I love everyone. Including gay people. I believe in love, period. I'm so sorry that you encountered such judgemental people, and I hope you can find a church that accepts you. :)
@MyLifeIsMusic16 your a pathetic fool if you think you need to convert to mormonism, it is like taking a one way trip to hell, have you forgotten what you have been taught with? Christianity teaches humans to not thrash gay humans, but do not accept them, for they are lost. viewing the words you speak of, you are not a christian, and no human with a religion can say they have a religion if they are so weak to defend what they believe in, you, are lost.
@Luckyrob72 Mormonism is a Christian religion. The official name is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.
Mormons do teach not to "thrash" gays. Individual people might but that is them, not the church. A gay can hold the priesthood and participate in temple activities as long as they live the standards everyone else is required to in order to have those things.
@Luckyrob72 I'm so sorry you feel that way... I could be offended with your comment, but honestly I'm just sorry that you have to feel such hate toward other people. I do defend my religion everyday, because of Christians who believe they have the right to judge other people, even though the Bible clearly says "judge not, lest you be judged." I promise you I am not lost, because I believe in Jesus Christ as my savior. However, your opinions are your opinions, and I hope you live happily.
Religion is stupid and they promote hate. Why any god would get his/her/its message out in a book beyond me. thank goodness it is not real. Could anyone imagine being a gay mormon black female.
Wow I'm sorry this is so hard for you... I am not religious, but I have quite a few LDS friends... And most of my other friends are strongly religious, and I am used to them cautiously skirting the topic of my relatives who are gay. I hate it. I personally am not gay or anything, but it hurts to see such smart people so obviously unable to approach a certain subject. I'm glad you've found a way to be who you believe yourself to be. I'm really proud, and glad you were able to do that.
@getnmybelee It's important to separate the Mormon church from individual Mormons in this case. Just because certain people who profess to be Mormon are cruel, that doesn't mean the church itself is. I find it really sad that people meet one Mormon who thinks a certain way and assume that it's a Mormon belief. That's why I always try to make it clear when I'm talking about things I learned in church (I'm Mormon) and things I've speculated on my own.
@ZoesBFF i didnt assumethat all mormons were a certain way i asked the kid why would he stick to this religion when all theyve done is treat him like shit
@getnmybelee, I didn't think you did. sorry if it sounded that way. I'm just saying that the "they" who have treated him cruelly are still individual people, not the Religion itself. the religion is the belief system, the people treating him badly are just people making a mistake (who happen to put some credit in that belief system.) just because this group of people are acting badly doesn't mean the belief system is worthless.
Try not to put a "Label" of "GAY" on yourself or anyone else. I have done things that could very well be considered "GAY" but I am just a person living this life the way I feel I should and no one can judge me! You are wonderful! Just be who you are and don't pay any attention to those who might judge you.
For all of you people who think the LDS church is evil, you must have never actually went to church. I go to BYU and the church is the brightest light in my life. Whoever this kid is...he needs to talk to his bishop.
i've been raised mormon, i'm 16 now and at this point in time i don't plan on sticking with the church when i grow up. there's nothing particularly wrong with it, it's just not the place for me and i don't fully agree with everything. it works for some people, but not for me. i fully support gays and i respect you so much for this without even knowing you. don't let people tell you you're going to hell because you're gay or that it's wrong; god made you this way and god loves you.
I am glad that you had the courage to come out and to be who you are. It is hard. I went through a similar thing in my life. I never had the courage to face my home church though. Maybe one day when i go home with my partner, i will go to the church and sit there and hold his hand and let them see love doesn't discriminate.
if you see Brandon teenas story, then I think that you, this guy....the handsome dude speaking here, Might get on with his encounters...which is cool, BECAUSE I don;t want to be a homo...cool?
Hey Chief, I liked your video. You're a cool guy. Try to get into the church building more then once a month. I know some members are a bit uncomfortable at times i how to deal with the subject, look at it from their perspective and their inadequacies. Don't let them offend you. In time members will be more able to get past the issue. Of course we know the actions are wrong but it's not wrong to share and help others get over their prejudices. Keep the faith man.
It probably would be difficult. It is important to acknowledge where you are at or at least where one "thinks they are at." Not knowing where one is on this map is a difficult way to traverse this world. I do not make labels.
I do not call people after the manner of their conditional activity; ie, someone with a temptation to drink is not a "Drunk" and in like manner, someone with a "same-sex" attraction, in my mind, is not Gay. There still must be some conflict. Satan is good at creating it.
hey:) I really do admire you brother,.. I call you brother because you really was my brother up there. It is a tough choice to come up in the open of what you really feel but I believed that you are a strong spirit all you have to do is to conquer the call of the flesh for you to finally be free....hold on until you can find the strength to get loose from it. I know it might be kinda hard cause you're just very young but I know eventually you will...
I also wrote to myself during 9th grade, but instead of a letter it was a journal. I cry whenever I read it. This was also the same time God was becoming a big part of my life even though my parents were not religious. I was never a Mormon, but my church also forbids homosexuality and now I can't receive the sacraments. From what I know, there are some LDS gay groups that accept gays. I wish you the best.
HEY! Im so glad I found your video again! ha Im sooo lost in my church... Im sure you dont remember, but I was one of the top ten? people to comment.. you helped me a few years ago.. if you can please please please message me!
I'm sorry you're gay man, not in a bad way but with the Mormon community it is very hard to be homosexual and be accepted, i daresay impossible almost. good luck my friend.
lmao i found that reali intresting only cos the fact when i was small i wrote some stuff drew some pictures still got them 8 years later lol im 17 now an i still have the drawings i look at them everyday an it makes me smile =)
nice clip. have some of you guys looked at the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it is impressive, i just downloaded the pack. its got absolutely everything inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the newest arena glitch. i perhaps should not tell people about this however at least this offers you all a fair opportunity to dl it before i pwn all of you
He is more than just "up there." He is with us - Emmanuel. All those who claim to be sinners, seeking, knocking... they will find the door to heaven opened, and not because they have first proven "worthy," but because of His FREE gift of love. Jesus is the door, the way, and all He wants from us is our love in return. We should be seeking out ways to show Him our love is true. BTW, John the Baptist was the last Prophet with a capital P...since Jesus was the male, unblemished lamb.
What you did in your church took an enormous amount of courage, Blake. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to maintain your faith when your place of worship becomes unwelcoming. I also know what it's like for church officials to behave toward you publicly in one way and then behave differently one-on-one. Keep the faith and stay strong. You are an amazing, worthwhile person. Blessings, -Briz
As a girl (invisible religious sexism anyone?) who has grown up in the Mormon church (btw, bisexual), I completely understand the SEVERE social pressure to conform. SEVERE! It's really hard, but you have to follow your feelings.
A good, honest story. Live your life, live your dream. God will help you anyhow. He isn't a god of punishment, but a god of love. Wish you all the best from holland.
a universal story my friend...i grew up as a gay mormon too...lol now im just gay...lol...and much better off not in the mormon church!! lol good luck man!
Man, I have been a gay mormon for 43 years - the church needs you more than you need them - just love man - you are special - the church is not special
Oh nooo!!! ha just kidding I'm lds my self man but just so ya know I don't believe in giving people crap so if any other mormons bash you just ignore them if they're bashing you then they're not being ver christ like and that's not showing love so I say we should just accept people I may not agree with everyones ways or views but I accept them for the way they are
ive watched this video before and i know its been up for awhile and you probably dont check comments anymore. but i just wanted to comend you for your bravery to come out during fast and testimony, i know full grown ppl who wont even give talks. i am a bisexual mormon and i dont think i could ever have that much courage.
hey man thank you for posting, i myself am an active mormon living in utah, and in no way do i judge you. I know that you can be a great example to the youth of this church. please remain active. i know for me, if i didnt have this truth..... well... i dont know where i would be :)
I would remove your records before they do it for you. I live in Utah and when I was 19 I had my records removed and my Bishop begged me not to do it. He worked at the church office building with the quorum of the twelve and discussed it with them and they also wrote me a note begging me not to do. I've been out of the church for two years and couldn't feel more free... even though I do live openly gay in Salt Lake City. Thiswas from '08 soIdon't knowwhat U've done since. Nomoreroomtowrite.

Still though, although I don't really support homosexuality, people who are homosexual should NOT be discriminated. They are people too and deserve a voice!
You are very brave and totally lovable. And your nose is very nice, too! It is very diffiucult to choose to be who you are in the face of opposition. The story you have told moves me greatly.
this is a really good video. this was my second time watching it. your story is very inspiring. and man you have a lot of guts to get up in front of your church and come out. right on though! :) i envy you
@Svperstarr thank you! God is all about change. the universe is always expanding and us humans are always changing. if we aren't then we're probably not living our potential.
You said you don't know who you are :S There is no difference between your "gay lifestyle" and "what you know you should be doing", I am sure God intended you to be just as you are and I hope you will find happiness and accept yourself. God does not see you as corrupted, He loves you as His son, I'm sure of it. Jesus taught the message of love and acceptance and the ones who can't see that shouldn't claim to fully follow his teachings :P
Blessings from Finland (I'm a mormon too, just not gay)
Oh, and sorry about the nickname :p I'm Finnish and we tend to swear alot and I guess I was just having a bad day and haven't bothered changing it. I quite fancy it actually, the nickname that is.
Hey buddy! Stop going to the Mormon Church! They do not want you there! They lack understanding God. They have prejudice towards a lot of God's Children in this world, and for that they will pay! Go to a place where God's love is really displayed. There are churches that will accept you just because you are one of God's Children. Quit that bigot Church and be free, be who God intended for you to be, free and happy! He loves you and wants you to be happy. Do not be brainwashed by those haters!
@Svperstarr God didnt change, the people did. At first, Lamanites were cursed with dark skin because of their sins, but then later on, the lamanites were the holy people. God never changes because he is almighty, perfect. But because people are imperfect, we are subject to change.
A person is born GAY--and since you are born gay it means GOD made you that way...and GOD loves all his children!! I believe you don't have to be a member of a church to be near GOD during your life, and can get to heaven when your life is over! your nose is not to big...and God Bless YOU..good luck.
Oh, and even if he did in fact say that, it doesn't matter because you fail to realize that prophets can have personal opinions. It doesn't mean its doctrine at all... Yeah I know, 'whether it be by my servants' yada yada... don't pull that.
I refuse to discuss this with you any longer. If you don't live by the prophets words NOW, its a sin, forget the past. These are the 'latter-days'.
You are perfect just the way you are man. God made you to be you. Religion is mans opinion of what they interpret god to say. They skew it to a hateful place, which creates a place where they do not practice what they preach. Forgive them for they know not what they do. Be your best self. You are not less than anyone. :)
Mormons believe in God being love, as the essence of life. Well, follow it, you love, it has no sexual orientation. Love yourself to love others. Kisses from spain! (my boyfriends father is a mormon :P) but my best friends are gays :) good luck
you'll hear a lot of stuff about homosexuality being a sin, but just ignore. People we'll be against you, Don't worry, you are young and you have a lot to experience yet. You know it is right, God knows it's right (even if i don't really believe in him) but the point is that you are strong enough to believe in yourself and just live your life following your ideas.
your nose isint that big. your kinda cute. and i love your testimony, i wish i would have that kind of courage to tell people. and thankyou for being another form of living proof that homosexuals can be christian. myself being gay i completly understand and feel the same way. power to you and your journey! :D
My gospel essentials teacher is very feminine, and he always talks about people saying stuff behind his back. Thats their problem, because I assure you he is a real man, and in no way, shape, or form does being a man have anything to do with the way you express yourself.
As long as you are living the commandments of God, you can be free to act as feminine as you want!
You don't know who you are. Only God knows who we are:)
Live The Commandments, and let your true self come out. It's awesome!
Homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin against God.
Being "feminine," or "sensitive," or not being interested in girls. However, lusting agfter another man or women is a sin. If you do not lust over people, than there is no way of falling into homosexual sin.
Mormons do not hate homosexuals, in fact, we love them with all of our heart. Never give up on your battle to live the word of God!
Wow, your courage is amazing! Your story is so much like mine (BYU class of 07, no mission though). I personally believe that being gay cannot be reconciled with membership in the church, and if I tried I would eventually rip myself apart, so I left. I would love to hear that your story has a happy ending, whatever that may mean to you. And only a teensy part of my interest comes from the fact that you're such a cutie, honest :) Cheers.
I have a friend in your exact same shoes. everday for her is a battle and her emotions. Just because this is your own personal battle doesn't make you a heathen and you know that. Everyone has there big struggle, it's just worse for you because its harder to fight of emotional drives. Elder Oaks told a story about someone in your shoes. Watch it if you haven't already. it just talks about how through the atonement all burdens, like yours are lifted. its something that can be really comforting.
You know, some scholars actually dispute that saying that the sin of Sodom was greed and viloence because the was threatening rape and rape as we know is a way for people to feel like they have power over someone.
So while I'm not saying your necessarily wrong, I'm just saying before you speak get to studying and not just going by what you hear in general.
I wish there were some way for me to express exactly how I feel... I was abandoned by my Mormon family when I was 15 for having a lesbian relationship. 7years later, my entire family still is disgusted by me and my testimony is gone. Before my family found out, I would sit in Testimony Meeting and wish I had the gut to do exactly what you did. You're an amazing person, Blake. Watch this movie: "In the Shadow of the Temple". It's about exmormons and their struggles. Thank you so much for posting.
This little sissy just about makes me want to puke! How dare you scummy homosexuals encourage this boy into a life of dispicable sin! Leave him alone and stop telling him it is okay to be a Sodomite. IT IS NOT ALL RIGHT.
Bravo. The world could use a few more people like you. I can see what an amazing person you are, and you do still have a testimony. I wish I had your courage. I think it is very brave of you to put yourself out there on the line. some one told me something the other day, I don't think they knew how much it meant to me, and I think it might help you: God will NEVER leave you alone, and never has. He is always there for us, even when it feels like we are alone. May God bless and keep you.
Brave boy you are Blake - and tortured you have been just for being yourself. Being gay isn't like alcoholism - or drug addiction - being gay is who you are - Live the fullness of the gospel and you'll wake up straight! - dumb dumb dumber. Maybe we should listen to our Lord who said it's all about Love and not listen to a church that looks more like a fortune 500 company there is a lot about Mormon people to love and admire but don't let anyone tell you who to love - Just love more and ignore
You are very brave. I see the pain in your eyes and feel it. Know that God does love you and he knows the challenges that you face. Not all of our natural desires are in harmony with God's will for us. As an alcoholic I have had to choose between what I am naturally Through prayer I realized that during the resurrection those "natural" desires will no longer be in my life as I will live in a perfected body. It is up to me how I wanted to spend my time in mortality. Sober 1 year 10 months
Cutie, your nose is just right. If it were smaller or more delicate, it would throw off the balance of your face. The size that it is makes you look masculine. You're really handsome so don't worry about it!
Don't go back to religion. I'm a former Mormon too. I'm confident that I've found the REALITY of life... and it's not in religion. If you want to chat pls private message me...

LantoCross may be a former Mormon, but today he is a full fledged modern day Sodomite and flaming faggot. That is NOTHING to be proud of! Andele Andele into repentance! Vamoose pendeco gay caballero! Vamoose!
I sincerely hope that you make it a personal mission to stand up for gay people in your religious community. I'm not a Mormon, but from what it sounds like - that community responded well to you in general, the bishop being the only exclusion. You provided an outlet for them to get something off of their chests that they've been keeping back, and they were all messages of love about gay relatives. Sometimes doctrines outlive their applications, it's time for that kind of persecution to stop.
Geez dont call him a fool, just let him be you freak you have no authority to judge others. I am mormon also born in the church and all, gues wat i do for a living I travel round playing poker, and yeah stake pres told me i need to repent and stuff but i love what i do, aint no imperfect Member judging me.
Fuking freaks fact is there are many gays in the church and I THINK THERE GREAT PEOPLE =)

You fool, part of your challenge here on earth was to overcome your heterosexually challenged mind set. You obviously don't have a testimony of the fullness of the gospel. That being said repent and choose the right.
"heterosexually challenged" -- Just know, I'm using that quote from now on. Now for you, go learn about Jesus and his life and teachings. Then come back to me, 'kay?
I can see how tormented you must feel...I had a similar battle. Remember, some may be predisposed to behave violently, to alcoholism, or to homosexuality, but a predisposition does not make it right. I only saw this one video of yours, so I admit I really don't know you...but all I can say is follow the commandments where there is safety and peace (yes, it is the path of PEACE for guys like you and me).
i think this guy is brave and very aware of what he wants. im glad he still has a relationship with heavenly father. at the end of the day as long as ur a gd person. i have to say tho i dnt think the church will change as it is not actually the church who wrote the commandments. x
hahahahahah i love that.. "of course God didnt create adam and steve it's adam and steven sheeesh get your gayness right"" that was freggin' funny... give the kid a break, i love his personality, he's fun ny ......
The churches (mainly catholic), are so warped. Honestly, the church has it's head shoved so far up the bibles ass. Honestly, they look at gay people and degrade them, and don't treat them like normal human beings. They also say contreceptives are wrong -.-. Honestly, this is 2009 not 2000 years ago, time to move on and change with society.
its not that the church hates the gay ppl they disagree with their actions. even is we r in a acceptable society it is still not right to be gay. i as a church person just dnt agree with gay ppl, but i knw many who r gd ppl who r just confused. the only reason i dnt agree with it is cos one i dnt understand and 2 i dnt see the purpose of it. i dnt agree that we should judge gay ppl, it is not our place.
The church hates what it doesn't believe in. Anything it doens't it considers wrong . Yea it's not good to judge people., Take a look at yourself, or even me with myself. We all have something that not everyone will agree with. Who are we to judge., If there was "a god" which i dont believe in BUT, if we are all "sons of god" why would he make people he didnt agree with?
because he didnt make ppl sin, we ahve the choice to chose what path we go down. just like out earthy parents, heavenly father can only guide us but if we do not listen then what can he do. lol. how would be learn if he just told us what and how to get to the finish line. he loves all of us but we need to trust him. if we dnt have faith in him then how can we see the miracles. x i knw im not perfect, but jesus loves me for trying to improve and learn more.
I;m sorry I don't believe in god. I had way too much tragedy to even come close to believing in him. If your brought up bad, chances are, your gonna make mistakes that "god" wouldn't approve of. and yet people , and "god" consider it a sin?
ive been thur hell,i was abused and raped. i was alone, i tried killing myself, i thought if there was a god he wouldnt put me thru all this. but at the end of the day god cannot control other ppl's actions. it is not god who makes bad things happen.if u want him to help u then u should beleive in him. he prob already has helped u and u havnt even noticed it doesnt matter what happend to us the future is ours to choose. its not set we can change it by the choices we make. have faith in yourself.
Good job man with coming out. I'm proud of you. I'm trying to balance being a Bisexual Christian guy and it's a hard road to travel. P.S. Your eyes had me in a trance the entire video. Just saying. LOL

I have hope :)

i see all the pain in your eyes, and i cry for you. Please be strong and know that you are not defective and that no matter who you are, gay or not, God loves you. It is so wrong how the church rejects homosexuality. HUGS to you hun.
mammabarbof3 6 months ago
Stay strong man. Please don't fall into the fallacies of the world. It's alright to be gay, even though, many do condemn it. It is just one challenge that God has placed before you. I am a mormon, and I do accept Gay's as real people. In fact many are my friends. Don't let the world disuade you from the church though. Even though you're Bishop said that, he is still human after all. Everyone makes mistakes.
ToushiKatou00 7 months ago
@ToushiKatou00 God does not make mistakes. Homosexual are damned by Gods decree, no matter how you try to justify it. It is in fact NOT alright to be gay and a Christian as one contradicts the other. It is also an abborahtion of nature and goes against the natural order and the already damaged family unit.

@coolair00 It goes against nature? Then why is it some commonly found in many different species?

MyLifeIsMusic16 8 months ago 6
@MyLifeIsMusic16 your a pathetic fool if you think you need to convert to mormonism, it is like taking a one way trip to hell, have you forgotten what you have been taught with? Christianity teaches humans to not thrash gay humans, but do not accept them, for they are lost. viewing the words you speak of, you are not a christian, and no human with a religion can say they have a religion if they are so weak to defend what they believe in, you, are lost.
Luckyrob72 8 months ago
@Luckyrob72 Mormonism is a Christian religion. The official name is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.
Mormons do teach not to "thrash" gays. Individual people might but that is them, not the church. A gay can hold the priesthood and participate in temple activities as long as they live the standards everyone else is required to in order to have those things.
ZoesBFF 7 months ago
@Luckyrob72 I'm so sorry you feel that way... I could be offended with your comment, but honestly I'm just sorry that you have to feel such hate toward other people. I do defend my religion everyday, because of Christians who believe they have the right to judge other people, even though the Bible clearly says "judge not, lest you be judged." I promise you I am not lost, because I believe in Jesus Christ as my savior. However, your opinions are your opinions, and I hope you live happily.

Wow I'm sorry this is so hard for you... I am not religious, but I have quite a few LDS friends... getnmybelee 11 months ago
ZoesBFF 7 months ago
@ZoesBFF i didnt assumethat all mormons were a certain way i asked the kid why would he stick to this religion when all theyve done is treat him like shit
getnmybelee 4 months ago
@getnmybelee, I didn't think you did. sorry if it sounded that way. I'm just saying that the "they" who have treated him cruelly are still individual people, not the Religion itself. the religion is the belief system, the people treating him badly are just people making a mistake (who happen to put some credit in that belief system.) just because this group of people are acting badly doesn't mean the belief system is worthless.
ZoesBFF 4 months ago
Try not to put a "Label" of "GAY" on yourself or anyone else. I have done things that could very well be considered "GAY" but I am just a person living this life the way I feel I should and no one can judge me! You are wonderful! Keep the faith man.
vintageyellow71 1 year ago
It probably would be difficult. It is important to acknowledge where you are at or at least where one "thinks they are at." Not knowing where one is on this map is a difficult way to traverse this world. I do not make labels.
I do not call people after the manner of their conditional activity; ie, someone with a temptation to drink is not a "Drunk" and in like manner, someone with a "same-sex" attraction, in my mind, is not Gay. There still must be some conflict. Satan is good at creating it.

It's awesome!
brian8793 2 years ago
Homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin against God.
Being "feminine," or "sensitive," or not being interested in girls. However, lusting agfter another man or women is a sin. If you do not lust over people, than there is no way of falling into homosexual sin.
Mormons do not hate homosexuals, in fact, we love them with all of our heart. Never give up on your battle to live the word of God!
The Church will always be there with open arms:)

You're an idiot. Being gay is not a sin. Being a bigot, however, IS. Go crawl back under your rock.

I do know that you are not judging us or him in this matter. That would be God's job. Let's leave it to him.

OH MY!!! I can't believe that you came out to all those people during a fast and testimony meeting. That would be so scary.

Vamoose!

As if we care what you think, 244269. After all, it's the closet cases like you that have the real issues to work thru. Good luck with that.

You fool, part of your challenge here on earth was to overcome your heterosexually challenged mind set. You obviously don't have a testimony of the fullness of the gospel. That being said repent and choose the right.
neigy16 2 years ago
"heterosexually challenged" -- Just know, I'm using that quote from now on. Now for you, go learn about Jesus and his life and teachings. Then come back to me, 'kay?

I can see how tormented you must feel...I had a similar battle. Remember, some may be predisposed to behave violently, to alcoholism, or to homosexuality, but a predisposition does not make it right. I only saw this one video of yours, so I admit I really don't know you...but all I can say is follow the commandments where there is safety and peace (yes, it is the path of PEACE for guys like you and me).

The churches (mainly catholic), are so warped. Honestly, the church has it's head shoved so far up the bibles ass. Honestly, they look at gay people and degrade them, and don't treat them like normal human beings. They also say contreceptives are wrong -.-. Honestly, this is 2009 not 2000 years ago, time to move on and change with society.
quiksilver182be 2 years ago
its not that the church hates the gay ppl they disagree with their actions. even is we r in a acceptable society it is still not right to be gay. i as a church person just dnt agree with gay ppl, but i knw many who r gd ppl who r just confused. the only reason i dnt agree with it is cos one i dnt understand and 2 i dnt see the purpose of it. i dnt agree that we should judge gay ppl, it is not our place.
newhope01 2 years ago
The church hates what it doesn't believe in. Anything it doens't it considers wrong . Yea it's not good to judge people., Take a look at yourself, or even me with myself. We all have something that not everyone will agree with. Who are we to judge., If there was "a god" which i dont believe in BUT, if we are all "sons of god" why would he make people he didnt agree with?
quiksilver182be 2 years ago
because he didnt make ppl sin, we ahve the choice to chose what path we go down. just like out earthy parents, heavenly father can only guide us but if we do not listen then what can he do. lol. how would be learn if he just told us what and how to get to the finish line. he loves all of us but we need to trust him. if we dnt have faith in him then how can we see the miracles. x i knw im not perfect, but jesus loves me for trying to improve and learn more.
newhope01 2 years ago
I;m sorry I don't believe in god. I had way too much tragedy to even come close to believing in him. If your brought up bad, chances are, your gonna make mistakes that "god" wouldn't approve of. and yet people , and "god" consider it a sin?
quiksilver182be 2 years ago
ive been thur hell,i was abused and raped. i was alone, i tried killing myself, i thought if there was a god he wouldnt put me thru all this. but at the end of the day god cannot control other ppl's actions. it is not god who makes bad things happen.if u want him to help u then u should beleive in him. he prob already has helped u and u havnt even noticed it doesnt matter what happend to us the future is ours to choose. its not set we can change it by the choices we make. have faith in yourself.
