I know this comment is way to late for Mark to actually read it, but it's not pee pee pee that the robot boss says. It's pi pi pi (pronounced pie pie pie). Pi is a mathematical contant whose value is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter. It's value is aprox. 3.14159. It actually goes on pretty much forever after the decimal place. I'm sure you've seen this mathematical symbol before: π That is the symbol for the value of pi.

@PimblyCharles While this is a good explanation of Pi, The "Pi" in the game (when listening to the actual sounds in the game) is pronounced "Pee pee pee", as in a computer making noises. The original game had the same reference in it.

Although, the game still references Pi (3.14), its used as the sound "Pee".

If I could see one NES game remade in this fashion... I'd have to narrow it down to 2. Either Metroid or "The Guardian Legend". The original Metroid has been remade, although very badly in my opinion, and the Guardian Legend is so sadly underrated that it's pretty much forgotten, therefore will likely not be remade.

It's awesome that Capcom asked a Swedish gaming company to produce a remake AND a sequel to one of their best games. Shame though that Grin closed down last year due to bankruptcy :(

Anyone noticed how Capcom's games are almost ALWAYS amazing because of what you CAN'T do in them? RE games have that stationary aiming, this has no jumping, Monster Hunter has long animations (among other things), same as with Lost Planet...and a few others I'm sure. The best gameplay for me comes with learning everything about the game. Yet....it's games like MW2 that make the charts...

I played it on the pc, and It really works nice with controllers (aldo I had to use a third party app to got the controllers work).

I rushed trough it in 1 day with a friend, and i have never had soo much fun

I have yet to see ANY glitches during the mission gameplay, multiplayer or singleplayer. But to just give this game even more praise, the gameplay mechanics are so much fun to learn, and mastering them is even funner. This guy demonstrates the basic way to play it, but if you were to see my friend and I do a single round in multiplayer vs... you would understand just how creative and intuitive a player can get with the control mechanics.

THIS REALLY IS ONE OF THE BEST REMAKES OF AN OLD SCHOOL GAME! I downloaded this game off the PSN in 2008, it is now 2010 and I only LOVE this game even more! If you wanna talk about minor flaws... well the game does have some VERY unusual glitches, like if you get shot by the vector gun while swinging in vs. mode your character will go flying across the level insanely fast bypassing barriers and sometimes even shooting right off the screen. but these glitches are often so ridiculous its funny

I think the weight of the arm is the actual reason why Spencer can't jump. They sort of point this out in the new 3D Bionic Commando when they say that the weight of the arm prevents Spencer from staying underwater too long cause he'll sink to the bottom with it.

Ah yes, I knew about that although there were some quality related issues with the game (starting with the music). What I was referring to is more along the lines of Bionic Command: Re-Armed which is an HD remake that keeps all the original gameplay mechanics in tact. "MegaMan - The Wily Wars" did have some rather unwelcome alterations from what I remember.

The beauty of these remakes is that they appeal to the crowd where "graphics are everything" while the solid gameplay mechanics are also left in tact to accommodate everyone else (minus the purists of course :p).

Nice review, although I can find alot of ''flaws'' in this game.

1. The bouncing of the wall and getting disconnected 9.00 , sometimes resulting in death

2. The difficulty (you've only got three lives even in Easy mode)

3. Saving is messed up. When you leave the game, you have to replay the whole level again

4. When you die you don't respawn on the last solid ground.

Oh and....

5. Not being able to fall down on a lower platform while your enemies CAN!

6. When you walk into a room and out, not only do the enemies reappear, but also every obstacle. So you have to kill every enemy again with the risk of losing more health and eventually losing another life which is frustrating, cause you've only got so much as THREE!!!

I heard there is a patch coming up which will fix most of these issues, but I don't know when and I don't know if it will come out for PC too
