The lyrics of his songs are philisophical and deal with complex matters of society, government, the mind, and emotions, which makes it more than just music--it make it a message. Twilight is a petty love story with no psychological relevance whatsoever. It is a story that goes nowhere and tells nothing. You are buying literally nothing.

I think you're generalizing Twilight fans. Myself, I had a Twilight faze in grade 7. I saw the movie, and found out about an awesome band called Muse. It was love. However, I've since fallen out of Twilight and am still a Muse fan. If it hadn't been for Twilight, I probably wouldn't have found out about this band. Of course, a lot of pre-Twilight fans feel that Muse now has this connotation of being along side Twilight. But his isn't the case for a lot of people, like me.
