#1 was so awesome it should've bypassed 2&3, #4 was okay, but it could've used, IDK, ACTUAL SHOTS OF NYC, rather than shitty blue drawings of these buildings. 5 & 6 were weak, 7 was worse. Agree with everything else.
I love the hip-hop version they introduced back in 2008 when Maggie joined the weekday team. I wish they would have kept that. It was so unique for morning TV and made them stand apart from GMA and Today.
Also, I used to watch CBS This Morning when I was a kid. A great show back then. My favorite theme was the one by Carly Simon when Jane Robelot and Mark McEwen hosted. As much as I love The Early Show now, I do miss this version of CBS This Morning.
@bluemyst75 you're right! and the blue-purple graphics in 2008 was better than the one they're using today but I love the CBS half eye sunrise logo they're using today. I love that theme my Carly Simon too.. it's on YouTube..
with Dianne Sawyer moving over to World News.. that makes Harry Smith the dean of morning news (altough I think he should have gotten the evening news job)
I love Harry Smith! I've never thought about that. He is the longest serving morning show host on the air now (of the three networks). He's been on CBS morning TV for about 17 yrs combined, Matt Lauer's been on for 16(?).
@joebradio Thats about the funniest thing i've heard in a long time. Harry Smith is nothing, he has never done anything different in the last 20 years. Besides this same time slot.
@ktrkhoustonfan and what did Sawyer and Couric do before they got an evening anchor job? Host a morning show .. I guess we can say the same about them..
