  • @ee23451 Hey, What your friend has told you is nonsense! I started Gymnastics when i was 10 and im 11 now Gymnastics is for everyone of course it helps if you start younger but you can do anything if you put your mind to it and try extremely hard you will get there :) I might not be able to do what these girls do but you gain so much from Gymnastics what i mean by that is you Become stronger, fitter, faster more coordinated I love gymnastics so much so i think you should totally go for it :)

  • hi im 14, 5'4" i want to start gymnastics is it too late? im very strong! s/n: i wouldnt mind goin to the olympics. realistically is it possible. anyone respond plz really wanna know my chances

  • @SimMoney97 I think anything is possibe if you work extremely hard and put your mind to it you can achieve anything you want as long as your determenied to work for it and dont give up ! I tjink its a bit late for the olympics though :( But you could prove me wrong :) Go for it!

  • in 42 she is crying because she cant do a skill and she needs to compete it and she is getting in trouble by her coach. also she is frustrated with herself and probably is thinking about quitting.

  • anyone know sings this?

  • monkeys..

  • she's so good

  • i can do a headstand for 20 seconds!) nice video!

  • 0:56 Damn!

  • I've seen several of the videos of the very young Chinese gymnasts training, and I'm baffled by the amount of strength training they do. When I was that age, we had a 3 - 5 min warm up (jogging around the gym) then 10 - 12 mins stretching. All our muscle/strength training at that stage was simply learning our skills. The girls really didn't start separate strength training until ~level 5/6, and even that lasted only 8 - 10 mins. (This was in the early '70's, pre-Nadia, so maybe that's it.)

  • @kayper54 I think it varies gym to gym, but I know at our gym the girls mostly start at 4 and its mostly conditioning until they are about 7, that's about the time we start working r-off flicks, upstarts (kips) and back walks on beam. mostly its a safety measure (injury prevention), but also it means that they are strong enough to learn the moves quicker and with better form. at that age they train about 9 hours per week. I think the whole way of coaching changed after Nadia!

  • ohh BOY I WISH I COULD DO THAT

  • i live in lancaster pa can someone help me find a gymnastics or tumbling center please

  • WOWi relly love that you are relly good keep trying and doing your best :D

  • OMFG! how the heck could they do that? they have enormous strength in their bodies. They're awesome

  • talent that is what you have

  • It shows great harmony stable musculoskeletal system :D

  • oh i can do some of that! ;) ( i'm a gymnastics freak <3 )

  • i can do that just hold my beer

  • wow.

  • i can do the splits!

  • hiii please respond back. im 6'0 and 15 years old...do you think it's a chance for me 2 try gymnastics?

  • @THICKB3AUTII i think you would be an amazing model because your so tall. im 5'3 and also your age and i want to model but im short so its harder. And gymnastics is easier for short people i did it for 5 years and found the shorter i was the more i could do. You being tall it will be harder but if u want it go for it!

  • @THICKB3AUTII go for it. there is no reason that you couldn't do gymnastics at a recreational level, if you would like to compete then things would get a lot more difficult. your hight would make it much more difficult to coordinate the slightly more advanced moves. my personal opinion is that nothing is impossible. if you go for it start working on your strength and a little basic stretching before you start going to a class it would help you tremendously. good luck.

  • @fizzywizzy2006 I'm 5'2 and 20 years old. Is there an age limit for gymnastics? I have always loved watching gymnastics my whole life. I took a couple of classes here and there but never really got into it. I kinda learned how to do a back flip when i was 10 (never did it on my own). I want to do it bc it looks like fun and I want to get healthy and it looks like a fun way to do it.

  • @THICKB3AUTII You definitely can!! I have done gymnastics since I was 3 and I'm 14 now. I quit because of an injury but gt back into it but it is hard because I can't fling my body around as well as somebody short but still go ahead and try your best!!! (I'm 5 8)

  • so good !!!!!

  • sh is really good!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone have tips for back extension roll. I always end up falling before getting into the handstand

  • :D really! thats amazing but there isnt NO gymnastics center near where i live i even searched the internet:/

  • @GyMnAsTiCslover4e100 I'm sorry about that, im afraid i dont know what else to suggest!

  • @fizzywizzy2006 o:(

  • Wow she know her stuf !!! :)

  • hiii!!:) please reply but is there any kind of gymnastics that u dont compeet just for fun:D because im scared to compet:(

  • @GyMnAsTiCslover4e100 there are tons of gymnastics classes where you dont have to compete, you will have to call up your local gymnastics centre and ask them to know for certain but most gyms run recreation classes where you can do gym just for fun!

  • whats her name @ 0:18

  • Hmm do you recommend rhythmic or artistic gym? I want to start and I'm 14 already. I can do flexibility elements like oversplits and bridges and all but I cannot tumble at all. And my balance sucks too. P.S. I used to swim so I have pretty strong muscles.

  • did u notice yhe foam pit at 1:37 was just ripped up chunks of foam not safe!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gymnastics career usually dont start til like 14-20

  • she's right, the asian kids were being tortured. and yes, i was a gymnast too.

  • @figureskater2004 I'm 5'6 and 12 years old so I know what you mean! But does anyone think 12 is to old to start gymnastics? I've been taking ballet for 8 years and just wanted to try something new

  • @07reynosa your defo not to old, I'm not saying you'll be able to go to the olympics or anything, but I didnt start gymnastics properly ontill I was 13, I'm now 17 and I have a comp (meet) on sunday!!! I had my first comp when I was 15!! its possible if you are willing to realy work on your conditioning!! go for it, and good luck!!!

  • @fizzywizzy2006 so am 13... and 5'5 1/2" is that too tall or old and does weight matter?... :/

  • @livelikewoe1 If you just want to do it for fun that's fine. you will have to work harder then younger, smaller gymnasts but if you don't mind pushing your way through I see no reason you shouldn't become a decent gymnast. good luck.

  • @07reynosa I know i'm 12 and 5'61/2 but im doing it now!

  • @07reynosa way too old and it is nothing like ballet i can promise you youre gonna have a long way to go and feel really behind

  • Comment removed

  • @07reynosa I started gymnastics at 12 and now I compete varsity for my high school (I'm 14) . Just find motivation... I wanted to be as good as the other girls my age that I saw at the gym and that's what motivated me to get better. Oh, and believe in yourself. I know that's cliche, but seriously you need to. GOOD LUCK!

  • @07reynosa hellll noooo! i started like 4 months ago and i was 11 :P i barely knew anything but my friend helped me so i made it to team & now im twelve and yeah sure maybe i can barely do stuff other kids can i always work hard and believe in myself, go for it hun!!(:

  • I used to be a gymnastic until i got to elite, people kept taunting me about how freakin tall I was (I was 13 and 5'6) but I have to admit i was good but I quit it just got to hard and I was bored of gymnastics

  • how do you get bored!!!!!?

  • it just wasnt my sport anymore (I wasnt interested in it as I used to be )

  • I know how that goes...i figure skate, and after almost 9 years of skating, it gets boreing! going to practice and just working on the same things over and over and over.....

  • u figure skate!!!! lolz same here!!! now that I quit gymnastics. ya i come up with those problems too. it gets boring after a while and sometimes u snap during practice.

  • 1:12 they look like robots

  • who sings this ?

  • Isn't it Mandy Moore??

  • i know its in princess diaries.

  • sorry! I dont know!!
