  • 90 61!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Awesome heavy metal ending

  • 6:58.hehe....I ZAKURWIŁ MU ŻELĘ NA PYSK....HAHAHA :D

  • do he yelling "come back here"at 6:37?i herad that someone throw a glass bottle in waters.is this true?greetings from POLAND ;)

  • You can hear Rog making some sort of noise at 7:53. Is that the actual release from Mount Wanahakalugi?

  • the first brick on the wall

  • @fbigpilllin

    Exactly ...

  • Why was there never any video of this tour ?

  • @emosikoloto There is some footage of the Animals Tour, like in Vienna and Anaheim (The Pig Exploding). That footage was recorded by random people in the audience. But, I don't know why this tour was never professionally recorded. I would love to have seen the Inflatable Family coming out above the stage during "Dogs".

  • @emosikoloto

for some reason they werent allowed to brong cameras etc to the concerts

  • This is so cool! Incredible recording as well!!!

  • Unreal... The outro solo is quite possibly my favorite lead guitar of all-time. Gilmour doesn't nail it here like he does on the studio version but with everything else going on (and the like 20 min version of this tune) it really doesn't matter. Just an unbelievable performance by the entire band.

  • what does 90 61 mean?

  • @555rest Roger yelled different numbers at every concert that year to identify bootleg recordings

  • @555rest 90-61 was the number of solos played all throughout the tour.

  • a link to download whole concert???

  • okay i just read Nick Mason's "Inside Out"

he said that during a break between the songs a loud fan in the front yelled out "Roger, play careful with that axe, eugene" and then roger spit on him. sooo....

did roger just spit multiple times or something? because im hearing alot of different stories but i trust mostly Nick Mason's account on it

  • Do u think its a coincidence that the band took a break after this song? When Roger is irked, he is great. I almost wish someone would piss him off during all of his shows. Awe inspiring rant.

  • fucking history going on

  • 7:23 - why we love Roger.. (EPIC)

  • esta cancion es una de las mejores cancion que he oido en toda mi vida!

amo su letra, que comprendiendola bien tiene mucho sentido, y tmb amo la musica!

    ES PERFECTA!

  • oh my f-ing god THAT SOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • According to a witness at the show, who also took still photographs of part of the concert, says the "spitting incident" happened during this song, Pigs (three different ones) at the point where Roger is yelling at someone in the mic. He says "Come here boy!" which can be heard in this clip at 6:59. He said that Roger leaned down to where the guy was, and spit a large amount of spit into his face. Apparently the guy had thrown something at Roger earlier in the show. Look at WrayLS on youtube

  • isnt it ironic that the song they played when roger spit on the fan was "us and them"

US (the band) and THEM (the audience)

  • @freddiebarry93 But, Roger spit on the fan in this song.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1

    np ;]

  • @bobmarleyisgod1

Yeah, I know the spitting incident happened. The guy said that Roger spit on him during Us and Them and not Pigs. When I said "I listened to it and there is no indication he spit on anyone", I was talking about Us and Them, not this. I

  • GOOD BOY! And when those two words were spoken, a wall was built.....

  • when roger is yelling at them at the end, that just makes this the best version of pigs ever

  • I think the guy Roger spit on hit the dislike button...

  • At the end. They did us and them as the last song. Gilmour was scolding the audience at the beginning. Gilmour walks off stage after Roger spits on the kid. During this song I think Roger is just yelling at the pig.

  • @mstewart508

I listened to it and think you're wrong. There was no indication there that Roger spit on anyone.

  • Sorry guys roger spits on the kid during Us and Them.

  • @mstewart508

at what point in the song? tell us so we can go listen ourselves to verify your claim so we'll know you're not just full of shit.

  • I love Rick's playing post solo. Dream like.

  • Pink Floyd, Live in Oakland, 1977 3-disc 2CD/DVD set available at Tommygun Video - link, audio/video clips available on our youtube channel

  • Whoever recorded this gig did a great service for humanity.

  • this is great quality!!!!! i wish they would release some of this material on CD, does anyone know if they ever recorded any of it?

  • 7:48 after the last "Good Boy" roger spit on this kid

  • My father saw this show live...I envy him so much!! LIKE IF YOU WANT TO reunite the 3 pink floyd for a last world tour!!! PLEAAAAASE :)

  • Thank you. I enjoyed that very much. I was only 8 in 1977, and Pink Floyd bypassed the small city I was from back then. Oh to have seen them in 77...

  • It happens right at about 7:38 into the song.

  • So does anyone know what the other guys in the band thought of this? They seemed to be encouraging his temper with their music. . . the build up. .

  • @charadeyouareha

It does seem like the band is trying to egg Roger on when they ramp up the tempo and volume during the crescendo of the song where Roger spits on the guy. When I first heard this song and realized what was actually transpiring, I was thinking "wow, this is such an epically intense moment both musically and historically!" Of all of the Animals bootlegs I've heard, this has the most intense and heavy crescendo. Perfection.

  • This is hot. What did the guy think Roger was going to do when they lifted him up to his face, kiss him?

  • COME ON BOY- COME ON!!!

  • where does the spitting happen?

  • @Mrgdh42 when he finally screams GOOD BOY!!!!

  • GOOD BOY!!!!

    then history

  • *Q'kkkkkpaattooooo!!!!* Take that rowdy fan!

  • LOL he almost sounds like the teacher from "The Wall"

  • @John6yt That's cause he did the voice for him xD

  • whos the one tone deaf dude who thumbed this down?!

  • @4stringFanatico the guy who got spat on by Roger Waters :P

  • hey man, just wondering where do you get all of your bootlegs? and could you tell me how i can download as many as possible lol.

  • Come back, pig. Come back. All is forgiven.

  • @Barrettfloyd82 HAHAHAHA THAT'S GOOD.HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA.GREETINGS FROM POLAND.

  • Is the Wright solo normal? Or does it have to do with the chaos created by the spit and all that stuff?

  • As well as being musical history, this is also one of the best versions of Pigs I've ever heard. REALLY intense, puts most heavy metal acts to shame

  • Yes- this is musical history.

  • What a magical solo....

  • @sime74 Is the Wright solo normal? Or does it have to do with the chaos created by the spit and all that stuff?

  • Comment removed

  • This is the closest humanity will ever come to magic.

  • Spit at 7:53

  • @RollTheFemers I've listened to this clip so much to understand where all these "spit at..." random comments come from, and the ONLY place I can imagine that the spit is at, is at 7:35 or 7:36 just before "Come on, son!" - not to be confused with the rather dry snare drum hits just before.

    7:30 - "There's a good boy!"

    7:32 - Snare drums

7:35 - almost passes by, but...

7:36 - spit, at the beginning of this second or the ending of the previous second (7:35). Almost sounds as if he's saying "two".

  • @Henkibojj thanks for this information.

  • There IS video footage of this song being played live. Snowy is on bass and Roger and Dave on guitars. Snowy also played Bass on Sheep and "WTTM" Dave Has said in interviews that he played bass on some of the tracks in the studio ( e.g. Hey You) The 8 track version of Animals features the ONLY recording of Snowy White on "Pigs on the Wing". Snowy takes a lot of flak on here for his " Clapton-like solos" ruining the songs.

  • It's so amazing when you realize that a lot of the crazed shouts in The Wall (like the live version of Run Like Hell), that are just part of the narrative in the album, were once before real crazy reactions of Roger waters. It's like hearing some moments of the Wall, not like a story, but really happening. Wow.

  • my dad saw this concert...... still talks about it! :D

  • @SuperToaster1234 LUCKY :'(

My dad are going in 73' or 74' at autostade for dark side of the moon :P

    sry for my bad english

  • 90!!! 61!!!

  • @jmpetvideo What is the significance of these numbers? Or is it just Waters being random?

  • He yells out 90 61. "90" refers to this, their ninth tour as a band. "61" refers to this, their 61st show of this tour. It was a shoutout to all the people taping the show.

  • @RollTheFemers He shouted out a different number, or numbers, at every show on theat tour for bootleggers. I guess to tell the difference from each show.

  • @MrSeaniscool93 That's interesting! Thanks!

  • i pink floyd sn il meglio

  • The record companies need to polish this recording and officially release it.

  • agreed

  • "all is forgiven..."

  • HK: "Do you in turn feel aggressive towards your audiences?"

    RW: "No, not at all"

HK: "In spite of all the loudness?"

RW: " No, not at all..."

    :D

  • DEAR GOD!

If you´re reading those comments (maybe on a sunny afternoon with a little hangover from the heavenly parties...)

Please save me from the burden of the late birth and send me back in time to the early seventies!!!

    PLEASE!!!

    This is INCREDIBLE MUSIC!!!

  • agreed. incomparable.

  • I was born a little late also (1966) so being so young to ctach this great band live, is almost a curse. Look, man--the only thing we can do now is just continue what we're doing: watch it here or listen to CD. BTW, the ending guitar solo ranks amongst the most powerful I've heard EVER.

  • Absolutely, man.

I already started listening to PF in the early 80´s when i was 4 years old, i always told my father to put on Meddle, One of these days was the first song i remember listening to with a mighty shiver.

And i never stopped listening to it for almost 30 years now.

By the way - god obviously didn´t noticed my send-me-back-in-time-prayer, so i do what you recommended:

    Listen and fly!

    Greetz from Berlin

  • Berlin, eh? Where did you learn English so well? Aren't Tangerine Dream from Berlin?

  • @Ephil666 you´re nothing but right, i just think the same way!

  • i love the way roger screams at the end of each verse in this version- brilliant!

  • roger sounds insane....

  • Dooders, i was lucky enuff to be at this concert and i never saw Roger spit on anyone; though i needed binoculars to see with! he was very funny the way he made reptilic sounds with his voice!

  • yes ARES

  • I think Roger discovered his "Wall" voice during that rant. What a shame that there is no film available.

  • Apperently, the spit is right where the music starts crescendoing at the end of the song.

  • love the screech roger does after each verse.

  • is it true roger never really played the bass in the studio

  • THT IS NOT TRUE!

  • Not even Gilmour said "never." Gilmour said that he (Gilmour) played "half, at least."

  • Oh my god, best band ever.

    Wonderful.

  • Who cares...Pink Floyd played Pigs (three different ones) with fucking heart and soul in Montreal 1977

  • i wanna download this, how can i?

  • ARES program

  • WHAT! HEY! COME BACK PIG! COME BACK! ALL IS FORGIVEN! COME ON BOY! COME ON SON! JUST A LITTLE UNDER THE YARDS! YEAH! CARRY ON! CARRY ON WITH YOUR TONE! THAT A GOOD BOY! COME ON SON! COME ON BOY! COME ON! (sadly says) Thank you we are going to take a quick break we will be back in a min oot

  • I thought Snowy White played bass for Sheep/Pigs (3DO) live.

  • Snowy White played bass for Sheep and Wish you were here live

  • Right If David Gilmour plays the bass for this song in the studio, who is playing it live? surley gilmour is playing the lead guitar live, anyone got any ideas?

  • Roger Waters plays the bass for this song live. David Gilmour- lead guitar, Snowy White- second guitar

  • Oh right thanks for clearing that up for me. I wonder why waters didn't play the bass in the studio then ? :S

  • Actually, Snowy is on bass in the live version of this song. Roger's on electric rhythm guitar (one of the few songs in which he does so, same with Sheep.)

David wrote the bassline on this song, which is why he played it in the studio. Sheep was Roger's bassline, but David played it in the studio because Roger wanted to play a specific rhythm guitar part instead.

  • No, Snowy played bass in this one, Roger played rythm guitar.

  • No Roger played bass in this one! Snowy played rythm guitar.

  • NO!

  • YES! ROGER PLAYED BASS!!!!!!

  • @pinkpigsheep1977 thank God he did ive never heard him play so great!

  • Sorry. But NO.

  • All right!

  • Hehe. Ok :)

  • Snowy played bass on sheep not this. Roger played the bass here!

  • Studio version: rhytm guitar, solo and bass - Gilmour, (only) vocals - Waters, backin vocals - Gilmour

Live version: rhytm guitar - Waters, Solo - Gilmour, bass - White, vocals - Waters, backin vocals - Gilmour, White

  • um ok i may not be 100% sure about this live version, but i do kno in the studio, waters plays rhythm guitar. and wright does the backing vocals in the studio. chekc it out for urself. and i have read tht roger plays the bass in the live version. listen to the end of the song, i doubt waters is playing some of those lead licks with gilmour duing the organ solo. anyways this isnt too important, the song is fucking amazing and so is the floyd!!!

  • Still have seen some live video on 8mm from Vienna I think. I can't find it now on Utube but for sure Rogs on Stratocaster. And hes probably playing only verses (e-C-G-e) and this choruses (A). And in studio he's only singin when Gilmour on the bass and rhytm with solo guitar. I'm 100% sure. That's my favourite live song and I made really deep looking for this infos years ago in many different sources. U can trust me:)

  • ALLLLLLLLLLL IS FORGIVEN!!!!!!

  • There's never been a confirmation as to who played rhythm guitar on this; either is a good candidate (David because he usually did and was better at it, Roger because the band seemed to like multiple instruments on one take).

  • Or.. It played Snowy couse it was obvious that Dave's gonna do lead and Roger couldn't handle with bass line that was made and played by Gilmour at the studio.

  • Or ... Snowy White was not in the studio with Pink Floyd. Read the comment, man.

  • I'm talkin bout live gigs not studio. But still White was in the studio in fact. He played solo for "Pigs on the wing".

  • Actually, your comment mentions both live and studio, and studio is where the dispute is. White was not present in the studio for the recording of the album proper. He was present for only the solo on eight-track version of "Pigs on the Wing." Per White, this is the ONLY time he appeared on a Pink Floyd record.

  • Gilmour played bass on Sheep studio version and Snowy White played bass live, Rogs on rhytm black and white stratocaster live on Sheep and Pigs 3 DO

  • look at led zeppelin, john bonham died and they came back and reunited

  • For one show only, now Led Zep's dead.

  • YOU FOOL! YOU WILL NEVER SEE A FLOYD CONCERT! RICK WRIGHT IS DEAD! (rip) but a roger waters convert wud still be epic

  • David Gilmour...

  • roger waters is a fuckn beast haha

before i die i wanna see floyd concert

  • hey guys,very nice video..

Anyone knows what does waters means with the 90 and 61 thing that he yells before the solo at 2.33

  • I heard it was something about bootlegs or something..

  • He does sound possessed... wish I could've been there.

  • oh ya, and starting at 6:48, Roger just sounds friggin possessed.

  • Who is that at 6:22? It doesn't sound like Roger saying HEY. And if that is him...is he trying to get the attention of the kid in the crowd?

  • fuck you

  • maybe I should know this, but why does Waters always wear those headphones?

  • to keep in time, because it was during this montreal gig that during shine on parts 6 - 9 david and nick went out of time with eachother which means the entire song was either to slow or to fast, so from that moment on, waters wore headphones to know his ques on bass/guitar/singing and to keep in time (a constant metronome is being played)

  • are you sure? isn't it simply the return like they use earpiec nowadays

  • History being made.

  • 8:23 was the spit.

  • are you sure?

I've always thought that spit was on Pigs on the wing 2

  • There's a youtube video of a guy who was there and he says it occured right after he said 'come on son', but I guess it's just a little conjecture. Apparently at the start of this song someone says 'did you see that?' which suggests it was at the start of the song.

  • you were there?? it sounds amazing how can I Get This Version In Mp3 format

  • This is bootleg. I've downloaded it from internet.

  • do you have the link????

  • I've downloaded it by "ARES".

  • thanks I"ll do so, lets rock
