  • Also, Medievalgirl, I think if you go through all the versions that there are of the prologue you will find that she is the most original, and least cliched. I love the Derek Jacobi version, by the way, but I was not going to try to redo another stately gentleman intoning the mellifluous tones... that would be cliche. Also, Like an earlier comment suggested, I wanted the supernatural Macbeth allusion to come through.

  • I cast Sabaa in the role because of her Saudi/Indian Muslim cultural history, and her unique voice, as a kind of other-worldly visitor not connected to the medieval European tradition, and I thought she did a fine job. All our actors, by the way, can do splendid "English" accents, I chose not to do it that way. Medieval people did not speak in the current "BBC Oxford" which was a creation of 18th century court life, but rather more like Bjork in contemporary Iceland.

  • Dear God, her accent is awful, slow rasping voice is so unoriginal and cliched.

  • i wish sh did this a little faster.... would have been easier for me to learn it!!

    but great job!!

  • She should have turned on the Derek Jacobi at the end - and spat fire across the stage

Thought we might have seen the hourglass - to build more tension

  • She is what I think the oracle at Delphi must have been like.

  • "Double double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble." That is what this brings to mind, interesting.

  • this was alright

  • I like this girl, quite charming and engageing. She is like a devi, a spirit entity.

  • Yay! A woman chorus! nice spirited performance.
