Always felt bad for the commandos (except Hacket). You gotta love a movie with Clancy Brown, Michael Ironside, Powers Boothe, and Nick Nolte all in it!
This movie killed so many '80s character actors that Nick Nolte-as-Texas Ranger should hunt it down and shoot its kneecaps with his Colt .45. Just the shootout at the end was worth the price of admission. Nobody's partying at that hacienda until all the corpses are cleaned up.
All we need here is Pike, Dutch, Lyle and Tector! A true modern realization of the final shootout from The Wild Bunch. This movie is too often overlooked! The shootout earlier in this film with Nick Nolte and Rip Torn vs. the bad guys is equally good.
Great bad ass Acton movie from old good 80's - best era in cinematography. Nick Nolte, Powers Boothe, Maria Conchita Alonso, Michael Ironside and many others did a great-excellent job!!!
I worked in a movie theater in 1987 when this movie came out (my first job). We used to have to position ourselves at the rear of the theater just before the end credits rolled so we could herd the patrons out of the exit into the parking lot and so we could start cleaning up. As a result, I saw this gunfight scene about 50-75 times. I'm STILL not tired of it! What a work of art this is!
Another underrated gem from Walter Hill - great movie.

The most manly movie ever made. The film is fucking badass. One of fav shootouts if all time next to the Wild Bunch and Rolling Thunder.
Nolte needs more of these badass roles. This and in Q and A was when he was a menace.

In some ways, this could be an 80's version of The Expendables.

Good ol' fashioned 80's style shoot 'em up movie... good movies never die, they just come back as classics.

Excellent movie, classic. The shootout is like watching a more modern version of the one in The Wildbunch!
