He was absolutely great! He played some of the zaniest characters he could get his hands on, and did it very well. What a shame he had to die so soon. R.I.P. Graham.
Somehow I feel like he was the center of the group, not the "leader", but more like the funny and insanely creative, yet quiet and reflexive core. If anyone follows me...
@shivercanada I understand that. And not just famous people. I'm convinced that when my sainted grandma dies, the sun will shine a little less bright.
Nice video... it makes me cry like all videos about Gray!
I'm reading his autobiography now " A Liar's Autobiography" and I've finished reading "Calcium Made Interesting" I recommend both books to every Graham's and MP's fan... they're hilarious and very well written :)
Graham Chapman's King Arthur always ruled and still does! He was always my fave Python, though I adored them all! I'm still looking for the dvd of a very funny GC film called The Odd Job where he thinks he's gonna die and hires someone to kill him; then finds out he's NOT gonna die and wants to cancel the "hit," but can't. Hijinx ensue! It was from the mid 70s! A great movie for those who love GC!
the pythons are and always have been my heroes. chapman has won the hearts and the respect of millions of people worldwide, especially me. R.I.P graham me and all the other python fans will always love you
Disclaimer: I love Monty Python and the work of Graham Chapman. All 6 of them were/are geniuses in my opinion.
But I can't help but think the people on here posting 'Bloody genius' and 'I miss graham' don't know his chequered life story. It was hedonistic and peverse and down right illegal (here is a mixture of words..year,sexual, old, 13, years, encounter, boy..rearrange them). That being said...he's dead now, I bet he's laughing his arse off at the life he got away with. Rock on Chapman.
Three words: Marquis de Sade. Lives not normal should still be celebrated; regardless of flimsy little rules that bend to trends of the times violated.
*Crys in a very hard crying motion, though containing very warm, sweet tears*
Graham was about the best Pythoner there was! His actions, writing skills, acting, gay rights, acoholism ( it's true ). He was simply the best, he put the silliness in Monty Python, then all those other pythoners. GRAHAM SURELY WILL BE REMEMBERED by his buddies: Idle, Palin, Cleese, Jones, Gilliam... And all of the fans he recieved throughout the Monty Python series before and after!!! :)
I'm so glad people have made tributes to him, he was so wonderful and funny. It's hard to find, but if you get a chance, read his autobiography, "A Liar's Autobiography: Volume VII".
I just love this video, and more, this fantastic actor ;) ♥

He's heart of that group because he's so believable at every part he played. So honest. It's perfection.
