  • Beautifully written :)... love Somalia but their enemy is themselves, most shit that goes down there is something that they have done themselves ;(

  • in a away i agree i love Somalia to because im Somalian a Fullblooded Cushitic-ethnic Somalian, but wat i dont agree is, its not ourselves that dont want peace, we coulda had it 20 years back, but thanx to illuminati and especialy white-Christian so-called superpowers and Islamist-extrimists, our land is in chaos and anarchy.. but everything takes time so hence Patience is a virtue and people do indeed learn from things.. so the new Somalian President called Sharif Ahmed, will liberate Somalians

  • SOMALIA ORIGNALLY CAME FROM EGYPT ...

  • Egypt? I hope you're not one of those people who claim Somalis are descendants of Fir'oon. If that is the case then I say and scream a big Astaqfirullah. That is nothing to be proud of.

  • NO SISTER ITS SCIENTIFIC FACT...

  • Care to explain.

  • who were the Fir'oons?

  • Comment removed

  • Fir'oon means Pharaoh in my language, east-Cushitic Af-Soomaali language..... hence because my ancestors where Part of the Pharaonic linages and that was thousands of years back, before white and arabs even had contact in egypt/africa=Kemet..... before they even walked upon african land

  • the pharaohs

  • its doesent mather wat to be proud of saxiib, its still there in the blood, and if ur a lightskinned Somalian then obviously ur not a fullblooded Somalian, like Somalias darkskinned President Sharif Ahmed, besides look at thes white semetic middle-eastern arabs in egypt makeing money on showing the Fir'oons/Pharaohs culture, let me guess you dont have anything to say about them huh, u fucking hypocrit, nacala arab-wannabe'gaa tahay wase, muwaladkaa tahay wasee.. this if for fullblooded Somalians

  • cushitic somali micnee? can you devine somali cushitic before i say something about you? mahadsanid

  • @CushiticSomalianMale, lol ur right in a way, Somalis that claim they are arabs are neither, they are sell-out dogs to the fullest. However, lighskinned Somalis are just as Somali as brown and darkskinned Somalis, skin colour got nothing to do with being Somali. I wouldn't encourage u call ur self CushiticSomalian neither, u will look like an idiot whose begging it with other people who aint his.

  • Comment removed

  • you Mean Somalian's originaly came from ancient egypt.... yea we allready know that mate....... but that was thousands of years ago..... after whites and arabs invaded on Kemet........ which everybody knows nowadays anyway... peace

  • CushiticSomalianMale,

Why doesn't the world listen to Somalians and Ethiopians? Everyone I know believe Ancient Egyptians were Europeans and Eurasians. However, I have found information that proves that they were not Europeans. Well, I guess it doesn't really matter. They won't give you guys money from the tourism or artifacts found, so what is the use fighting for it.

  • @MrXamzah no my bro/sis..

Somalians did not come from ancient egyptians.. it is vice-versa / opposite..

the ancient egytpians of upper and lower KEMET originally came from SOMALian-Puntland a.k.a Land of PUNT/Pwenet... in my eastern-cushitic af Soomaali language we say Boon = PUNT...

please put up any link wher people can download or listen to thi great gabay thnx for the add

  • Xaliimotologist. This type of poetry is not called gabay. It's called Jiifto or Maanso.

  • What differentiate the two?

Definitions I found on all three:

Jiifto feminine noun: poem (based on a religious theme)

Maanso feminine noun: poem, verses, poetry

Gabay masculine noun: poem form (long classical Somali epic poetry)

Gabay verb: recite a poem, chant poetry

  • No. There many types of Somali poety. There is Gabay, Guuroow, Jiifto, Masafo, Geeraar and so on. They are all collectively known as Maanso, although some times the Jiifto is called Maanso. Each of these poetry have it's own rules. Anyway this is example of what gabay is:

Nin libaax ku gowriirsadoo, garabku hooseeyo

Oo u guudka kala saaran yahay, miciyo gaal-leefa

Hadaan guutadiisii ka celin, gucumaloow Aarka

Soow inuu go'aa lama ogoon galawdu raageynin

  • The Guuroow is strictly speaking same as the gabay. The only difference is Guuroow has it's own way to deliver. This is Jiifto:

    -

    Nin qabyaalad doojoow

    Doqonniimo waa cudur

    Haddii aad dux leedahay

    bal docdaada uun eeg.

    --

Geeraar have also it's rule or labadhac.

  • That was some hard stuff to understand. I picked up like 20% of th words and 0% of the meaning lol. Awesome video though.

  • Hahaha. I understood every other word but got a good ol' explanation/translation of the gabay from elders who were around. If only someone would be so kind to translate this. It would be nice for people who lack the ability to speak or understand af-Somali :D.

  • Yeah I agree ;) someone get to work and translate this piece. It sounds awesome though with all the M's .

  • well why don't you put it upon yourself to relearn your mother tongue and understand it for your damnself...its not like the guy is speaking chinese..... I love "Madax xanuun everyday" lol

  • if you cant speak and you can not write,no matter you were born in us or in mugadisho than you need not to spaek about somalia or the oral history of our country.
