They Mainly Flourish- and their magic isnt exactly something to look away from.

Blaine has a different style in his presentation, so does houchin, criss angel, Chris Kenner, Lee asher, Michael Ammar and daniel garcia- they ALL have different styles in presenting their sleights.

Just because DnD focus on Flourishing doesnt mean they dont have perosnality- Their 'forte' is more on the eyes, and not the ears. watch how they handle the cards.

infact i never mentionated their flourish wich is pretty umbelivably skilled and amazing, i mentionated the fact that their magic(not their flourish but their magic) is not magical is "just" skilled, is like compair music by tool and music by rhapsody, the first 1 is less technical but is more emotional the second 1 is amazing mathematic music.

Define Skill- cause Michael ammar alongside a lot of other magician, still uses the same sleights as what amateurs like me use. Double lifts- False cuts, Card Controls.

Its their patter and presentation that makes the 'magic' DnD uses minimal Patter- for instance look up Tivo 2.0 or Swiss made. The 'time machine' theme is there. but there is less Patter involved

No, you dont understand. I personally do not know DnD, but what you are suggesting is that they enter into this 'persona' which splits them from reality- they are not comedians, nor do they sound like they require setting up a theme to do their magic.

How bout you go to theory 11, and listen to what chris kenner and the artists has to say about not changing your personality when performing.

You need to understand the basic fundamentals of performing first- before you criticize.

Magic should be what's going on in the spectators mind while you perform a trick...I think it's not on you how to perform or what you perform, it's on the spectators to decide if they were amazed by it ;) Some people like color changes others like "subway" or "tivo 2.0" and some are so focused on your handling, they don't even listen to you!

@saimon20000000000 I understand what you mean. There is no rhyme or reason behind many of the tricks that they do (at least the ones I've seen). They just do effects. Any time you watch them you know EXACTLY what is going on; they're good at handling cards. They don't "create" the illusion, they just show you what it looks like. They're still really really really good though.
