If anyone ripped the guitar solo it was John Norum who covered Vinnie's song. Göran Edman, the singer showed John this song because he had done an audition for Vinnie, but couldn't join him because of a contract.
John Norum rocks! This version is so much better than Vinnie's version. Maybe if mark ASlaughter sang it it would've been better. That Edman Goran is a pretty good singer. This is a really good song, period!
I've always wondered about the connection here. How did John Norum end up doing this Vinnie song?? Goran would be that connection. He did a bunch of demos with Vinnie way back in the day and probably brought a copy of it to John. It is definitely a great song. Having heard Vinnie's version first, of course, I like that one better. But this is a gret version too.
It's not important who wrote it. The important thing is that it's an amzing song with great musicnas on alla versions though I like this one the best. If you're a real music lover you don't care about who got credit or the rights for a song you care about how it sounds and let the rest be the problem for those who made the song. don't get me wrong it's important ofcourse but it's not our buisness.
MY DAD FU.KING WROTE THIS SONG look it up before u say other people did it.
1982 : "Back On The Streets" : written by Vinnie Vincent and Richard Friedman. Demoed by KISS. With Paul Stanley on lead vocals considered for release on the album. Prior to KISS the song demoed in 1981 by Vinnie Vincent and 1982 by Warrior.
Who sang this song in this particular video? And please can someone tell me if Vinnie Vincent sing this, cause a guy tell me that this was the only song in wich Vinnie made lead singing, is this true?
I agree on the rocording versions. Vinnies Live version was better once he got Mark Slaughter to sing it. Mark really gave VVI the sound it needed & thats why the second CD was so much better then the first
this is not even close to the Vinnie Vincent version..

The history of the song is, Goran Edman wrote it
when he sang with Vinnie Vincent. Later he appeared
on vocals with John Norum and the song finally got
released.

actually no cover of Vinnie Vincent. John's song, but Vinnie Vincent got the rights to it, the credit. It was some kind of deal.
