  • This inspired me to read the Scarlet Letter. This was enlightening in pointing out how fate brought out Hawthorne's genius when he was, like most of us, afraid of taking that step to overcome our fears and make our life worthwhile.

  • I loved this poem and listened to it many times: marvelous! enchanting! Will look for more...

  • Holy friggin hell. Get some balls. Never give up. Be a winner. I can't even listen to this.

  • So BAD you couldn't even LISTEN?

Whew ... I got off easy.

Just imagine your opinion if you HAD listened!

    James McCoy

  • Hi James!

  • Hi Lamentabili,

    Thanks for your review.

Your favorable rating has made this poem "Pretty Cool."

Which should help me in getting another poem posted soon ...

    James

  • I don't understand it. Aren't writing classics and standing in the rain reason enough to quit your day job? (cf. Gibran)

  • I was pleased to find James McCoy on YouTube. I'd seen his readings on other sites. He's doing fascinating work, restoring poetry to its proper place as an aural pleasure. He's a joy for those who are tired of prosey McPoems. You'll find none of that in McCoy's work. It's not music, but it is quite musical. Sometimes his voice hints at a melody. Watch his hand instinctively beat time. He's fearless, too, moving from the workaday to the mythical and metaphysical. Hope to see more here from McCoy.

  • I liked it. Nicely done. He's the real McCoy.
