SA2...I swear no other Sonic game ever made Shadow as good as he was in this one. Not because this was his debut, but because they changed his voice, his animations, his actions. Everything about Shadow received some sort of change that just wasn't very suiting when compared to SA2 Shadow.

Sonic's cool, but Shadow's my dude.

In my opinion Sonic 1 and 2 (on the Dreamcast) saved the franchise. I think it would've faded as a series and people would've looked back on Sonic as a memory of the good times, if it hadn't transitioned well into next generation gaming.
