The vocalist sounds a bit like Maurice Elwin. He recorded with The Rhythmic Eight in the late 1920s. May I compliment you on your recordings. They are beautifully presented and free of the processing artefacts and exaggerated equalization which many others use.
I don't know who the singer is, but it doesn't sound much like C. R. Newton. Either way, it's a great record with a great band, which incidentally was one of the first British dance bands I heard!
Tom Barratt is the vocalist on this one, unusually.
