Had a stock 85 550 years ago, calculated top speed is 140mph. (Redline in 6th gear). Most bike won't achieve their calculated top speed. I managed to hit it once, took a while but was a blast. Great bike!!!!!
This was a long time ago, and the TK27 Carbs are very easy to dial in. Start with making sure the valve clearences are within spec first. Jetting is simple via DynoJet's Stage 3 Jet Kit.
That was the 615 wicked engine, and it was before I sync'ed the carbs, and adjusted the valves. Now that engine is sitting on the bench waiting for a new piston set, due to the extinct thick piston rings it's got in it. No one makes XC Rings for it, only XA Rings.
