• the USA needed this guy as president

  • i love how all the comments have so many thumbs up. Very rare on a YT comment section.

  • This guys make me cry.....look at all the head drop down in shame when he talks the truth....

  • A great man!

  • I love you, Mike Gravel.

  • I don't think America's ever been ready for Gravel, it's always been too immature. Gravel has all the great policies of Ron Paul, with none of the crazy.

  • @cyborg527 This is true

  • Ohh god, Mike Gravel, I wish you were in this election.

  • The problem here is, he is too honest.

  • These rare politicians with integrity like Gravel should do the bait and switch like the mainstream political puppets, but in the other way around.

They should say the typical stuff that the media loves to eat up for campaign footage, because frankly that's the best chance you get a presidency. But when they step into the oval office, do a complete 180 and say "haha, I really wanted to point out how messed up our own government is!" Whoever does that will be my hero.

  • @ccricers I agree %100, Then you end up like Kennedy.

  • @ccricers I think Kennedy tried that. sadly

  • He would have made a great president.

  • i am a complete right wing libertarian but i have to say. Its nice to hear people who arent lying propagandists. I would vote for this guy over one of the GOP plastic men (Ron Paul of course excluded) any day

  • i love that he makes such good points, but he just comes off as a grumpy old man that no one should listen to

  • Ron Paul Mike Gravel

    Breath of fresh air

  • Mike Gravel needs to run as a Democrat, he wouldn't win as a third party...

    Gravel/ Paul 2012!

  • This were really 2-3 people debates between Clinton, Obama and perhaps Edwards. With the rest there observing, because the moderator didn't think anyone else had a chance at winning the nomination.

  • Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinch 2012 President

  • This guy is cool, even if he sounds like a cartoon character.

  • Paul/Gravel 2012!

  • Nukes have been immoral from the start.

  • I'm a bigger Ron Paul supporter, but I could definitley support Gravel.

  • This guy is like a liberal version of Theodore Roosevelt.

  • @16cale16

I disagree. He is calling for disarmament. He is much more for peace than TR.

  • great guy...speaks from the heart

  • true liberal right there to the root no surprise hes a liberatarian now fn sweet...

  • So effing badass.

  • Gravel & Paul. One can be the runningmate. Paul in office, with Gravel as vice, or visa versa. Both dont sound to bad.

  • "Tell me Barak, who do you wanna nuke." xD Gravel fuckin' owned.

  • Gravel's the fucking man. He gonna tell you how it is and doesn't play any of this politics bullshit. Hopefully now that progressives and liberals have been disillusioned by Obama, someone like Gravel or nader can have a chance in 2012

  • WoW..... television tells us who to vote for. otherwise Real people would win

  • @jtizz711 Mike Gravel and Ron Paul were the first targets of the lamestream media. They were the threat to politics as usual...

  • how unfortunate that the most outspoken candidates are the ones ignored. i actually liked his aggressiveness. obama could learn a thing or two from him.

  • America would have been awesome if we had Gravel right now. I wish he'd re-run, be he's said that his political career is over with his defeat in 2008. It'll be 100 years before we have another chance for a man as good as him again.

  • mikes a badass

  • ron paul, dennis kucinich, mike gravel the only candidates not owned by wall street and the military industrial complex! enough is enough and its time for a change

  • Gravel/Kucinich 2012

  • Wow, a voice of reason, but nobody seemed to listen.

  • This guys dope

  • and your a dip, he was the wisest man for the Democratic Party Presidential Campaign and had my support. Pissed me off he got shunned.

  • dope means good smart guy, and use the correct form of "your" next time "you're" trying to make someone feel stupid

  • @thehumanshin I don't even recall making this comment, cause I wouldn't insult the way you used dope.

  • Obama's not planing to nuke anybody right now. Right now being the key words.

  • Ron Paul / Mike Gravel 2012

  • @DrMls21 no! ron paul is a nutter!

  • @DrMls21 While they have similar ideals they have VERY different ideals

  • @DrMls21 I would vote for that in a heart beat.

  • @DrMls21 Gravel is to old to be a vp. you want to make the vp younger than the president lol

  • @NazcarFanatic24 tell that to george w. bush.

  • Why the hell did you not get off your duffs and canvassed for this guy a year ago?

He's like the Freak Power in Aspen when *Hunter s. thompson ran for sheriff in 1973.

I'd love to see him eat Cheney, Bush, McCain and 90% of GOP alive for breakfast.

It's thanks to him and him alone that you kids are not drafted into war crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq today coming home like human train wrecks.

  • I like Mike Gravel, but the second to last clip was not very good. He played the politician and dodged the question about nuclear energy and talked about terrorism. He had some smart things to say, but he got tremendously off topic, which weakened him a little. Otherwise, this is a great collection of Gravel's opinions in 2008.

  • He sounded like he dodged the question. I heard him say another time he wants to build 5 million wind generators.

  • @ThePandorasbox13

I agree, it's too bad he didn't answer the question, because knowing his position on the matter, it would have been a good answer.

  • You're so right. You really do know what you're talking about don't you?

Please, tell me how he doesn't know what he's talking about and why I should trust you.

  • Who said you were obligated to trust me? Did I even ask you to?

It's common sense man; help yourself.

  • No, but you said he doesn't know what he's talking about and I ask you why I should believe you. If you know that he doesn't know what he's talking about the surely you must know what he would say if he did know what he was talking about, wouldn't you?

  • legalize weed!!! whoo go gravel 2012

  • Zinn and Chomsky are pretty epic too, but they're not politicians so...

  • and here you are again with your lame ass story tommyboy6494. It is not looking good for you.

  • He gave up too quick. He's just too emotional and didn't have the charisma like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. Paul and Kucinich appeal to me a lot more. Both are very charismatic, have consistent voting records, and courage.

  • Gravel had the best record. He did more in the Senate during his freshman term than Paul and Kucinich combined have done during their entire career in the House. He is very passionate about human life, economic growth, and equal justice under the law.

  • To add to this, he did something non of them have done for years. He released information that shows the corruption of the government. The Pentagon Papers

  • People are insane who think Ron Paul or Dennis Kuchinich has done more than Mike Gravel. Gravel was by far the best candidate.

  • Ron Paul has stood as a principled defender of individual liberty. National healthcare would use government force and coercion. That's fucked up

I like gravel but better than Ron Paul? Really? That's not right.

  • Gravel is the man who wrote the Ni4D. Has ron Paul even come out in support of that? If Ron Paul really cared about the people's liberties he would support the Ni4D which enables the PEOPLE to make and vote on laws in partnership with the representatives, instead of losing their power on election day. I'll take Ron Paul seriously when he tells his supporters to vote for the NI4D because apparently they will do anything he tells them because they all think he's the greatest thing ever.

  • kinda sounds like most of you gravel supporters cirlce-jerking eachother off all over this channel.

  • I think all three would make a great top 3, Ron Paul President other two under him

  • @mikezdiesel

If I was American I would hound for him to team up with Jesse Ventura so they could clean up the place.

Obama is just the same spineless corporate whore like the rest of the dems and GOP.

With a few exceptions off course. Alan Grayson and Al Franken.

All you need now is some journalists with balls not in the so called MSM, and you'll be set to face the ugliness of the teabaggers represent

  • This guy is a good guy like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. There are more people like them. Somebody here mentioned Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, Darell Castle, and Wayne Allyn Root. So let's check these guys out! Obama, Clinton, McCain, and especially Giuliani etc. are as crooked and corrupt as they can be. The good guys can be recognized by their fearless honesty, wisdom, good action and love for humanity. Those who are for unjustified war are ripping off the world, stealing their resources.

  • He's crazy, but I love it. =]

  • he is eccentric but i like him

  • "How the hell did the rest of them get here" couldn't hsve said it better.

  • Say what you will about Gravel, but he speaks the truth always, unlike somebody else from Alaska who shall remain nameless.

  • He's got balls...I like balls. Seriously though, this guy is awesome.

  • i voted for u mike

  • we miss you mike. seriously.

  • I miss this guy.

  • Even though I voted for President-elect Barack Obama in both the primary and the general election, I wish Obama picked MIKE GRAVEL as his Chief of Staff. Gravel is AWESOME. I miss him too. I love how he lays the smackdown on Pelosi and those pathetic DLC blue dog motherfuckers. Gravel for Defense Secretary.

  • Mike Gravel is a great man. He knows what he's talking about. Too bad he'll never be President. The whole world could use a man like that at the wheel.

  • I was one of the approximately 2,500 people in Michigan who voted for Senator Gravel, and I'd much rather be able to vote for him now than either Senators Obama or McCain, who are both thoroughly unqualified by comparison. This man has all the right ideas and his political career has shown that he has the steel and determination to follow through with his ideas. I wish he were a little (alot) younger so that I would have the opportunity to vote for him again. It is unfortunate that I can't.

  • I like Gravel though. Problem is, although he has very good views on the issues, a lot of people aren't use to seeing this much emotion put on the debates and he gets labeled a cry baby. Lame. It is not crying if the problems you complain about are very legitimate.

  • ur so right

  • Gravel is proof that not all Alaskan politicians are empty-headed *wink* He warned us of an energy-related economic crisis that will happen (not related to the current crisis) and I wanted to follow his words since then. I think he wasn't popular because his "fuse" seemed too short, so to speak. The average person has too much ADD to listen to this guy.

  • poor mike, they're all laughing at him

  • Love it how he went after Obama

  • Haha,Obama's such a douche!

  • this guy is ahead of his time..

  • This is how debates should be like.

  • but the government I think is getting better, I think we did a lot of bad things, we do have puppet governments, and the CIA does some tricky stuff of course, but look at the average person in these puppet governments, there all in Democratic sociteys without oppersion, while keeping the fabric of socetiey going, so, I support our country, I am a true patriot, and I know eventually ALL GOVERMENTS and all people need to get together, but you know where its gonna start, here, if we end racism!

  • I'm gonna vote for spongebob! Gravel tells the truth, did you guys know he ran as a libertain too, I used to be in polictics, but now I dont care, the government does do secret things, but they admit it, just read bill clintons book, but you know how life here is so great, well, the 'evil' government is to blame for our lucky lives, you could have no job, no house, nothing, and you have health insurance, homeless shelters, and food stamps, I dont support all the things of course,

  • in exchange for our freedom, of course. enjoy your cage do you?

  • Sometimes I think that what brings this country down is the national pride and closeminded religious views (often Christian) to form political policy decisionsPeople cling to American nationalistic pride mainstream relgions, and use "patriotism" as a blugeon (when it's clear that the USA has in its history since 1776 done some things I'm sure it regrets(Indians, African Americans, slavery, women's rights, etc.)Just for my saying that a longtime "American" is going to point me out as unpatriotic

  • Even though I have always liked Obama...

I think a Kucinich/Gravel/Nader or Paul Admin would be amazing.

  • yeah that'd be awesome. I know Obama's vague but he's got to be mainstream to get elected

  • Well yeah, he has been mainstream from day one. I always thought hes been intriguing but I dont exactly agree with him on everything. Im very far left so in that case, I identify with Kucinich and Gravel the most and alot of Paul and stuff and I think Nader too.

  • I like Obama but Im a bit confused about his stances lately - something about the death penalty on child rapists (they're saying Obama's moving toward the center)...

I think we shouldn't cling to a party or even a direction on the political spectrum. We should vote relative to the ISSUEs, most have no idea how to do this, especially the religious children going to church 1-2/wk who cling Republican because their family does/has military history, etc...that pisses me off

  • Oh I agree completely. I get that at my school. All the kids that there parents are republicans, are republicans too. Fans of Mitt Romney, or McCain or Huckabee. Three of which is my own worst nightmare. Kids these days are too blind to think of themselves and not to try things for themselves and figure out there own way. Last thing we need is a loony left or radical right winger crazy christian running our country and running things on the hand of god. Scary Shit.

  • i still am shocked that he's not going to be our president!

  • hes right.

  • I love how they all just smile.

  • AMAZING,DEMOCRATS HAVE KILLED SO MANY US KIDS. ww2 -roosevelt-over 400000 us kids killed. korean war -truman over 50000 us kids killed. vietnam- kennedy sent advisors and johnson sent 50000 us kids to thier deaths. somalia-clinton 18 us kids dragged dead thru the streets by black muslims...granted bush screwed up but there is more blood on democrat hands.shameful. DEMOCRATS ,DONT THEY JUST KILL YA;;;;;

  • One of the last truthful polititians on the face of the earth. Tell it like it is Mike.

  • You may try to stay away from politics but it won't stay away from you.

  • I like him to be the President.

  • Gravel walks all over media creation candidates like Obama and Hilary.

  • he wudda won if he was on da debates... and they knew that.

  • I say this is one of this best debate performances.

  • how can people see htis and not know its true it drives me fucking insane, those people are fucking dangerous

  • This man speaks truth. He and Ron Paul are the only worthwhile candidates.

  • AND WE HATE YOU

  • Also me

  • what about kucinich

  • Mike Gravel is Ron Paul on steroids

  • Gravel is gangsta...Go Gravel!!!

  • What happened to the video exactly like this one but with 300000+ views??????...that video was vital to Gravels campaign

  • gravel = ron paul = the only awesome choices

  • I love Mike...He's funny and smart

  • Agreed. Ron Paul vs Mike Gravel would be fantastic. The problem is that Mike will not have the nomination because the freakin' media excluded him from the last 2 debates. Ron Paul will get the hell out of the Middle East. Even our own military gave him the most donations. Prez. Ron Paul and Vice Prez. Mike Gravel.

  • the world itself would be quite lucky if it was ron paul vs. mike gravel

  • top tier candidates= PWNED!!!

    GRAVEL-1, ARROGANT DEMS-0

  • We need to work harder people. more donations. more hitting the streets. tell your friends neighbors. nlog on myspace. youtube videos. Ron Paul is not going to get the nomination and he will drop out and when that happens we will get a surge of support. but we have to keep afloat til then and thats going to take a lot of work being that its us against the entire system but dont ever think for a moment that we cant beat them because we haveeee something they cant buy or sell. the Truth.

  • I would like to see some reasons not to vote for Gravel.

  • how an american can listen to gravel and not feel moved about his ideas, is FUCKING BAFFLING.

  • Or how anyone can say "Power to the People" than not vote for Gravel or the National Initiatiave

  • Vote for either Ron Paul or Mike Gravel. The last chance to save America!

  • Mike Gravel (democrat) and Ron Paul (republican/libertarian) are the only 2 candidates that can save america.

Its so sad that america is a bunch of stupid, obese hicks that are brainwashed by the media.

  • My HERO

  • Please vote for someone who is not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission or who attends Bilderberg Conferences... do some research on the candidates. Be they Republican or Democrat, if they belong to these organisations they don't represent you.

The rest of the world is counting on Americans to vote in someone who is sane, intelligent and trustworthy for a change.

  • Hillary and Obama are screening comments on their page to approve them before posting them. What a joke! I hope people are smart enough to realize what is and what is NOT being put into their heads.

"This is censorship. This is proof that those candidates don't want to hear it, unless its someone sucking up to them"

  • Go to face book and vote for gravel on their pole. If you don't have an account just sign up so you can vote. For every vote facebook donates to his campaign. Thanks!

    voteonthebook (dot) com

  • Thanks To You For ANOTHER Informative video Of Mike Gravel, that makes sense and it to the point. I wish You well, I see Gravel and Paul are Truly Concerned for Our great Country.

Mike Gravel and Ron Paul would Make a GREAT Running Team!!! A Truly Bi-Partisan Team ;-)

    "Peace whenever Posssible, Anything is."

    Medley

  • People keep suggesting that Gravel and Paul should run together, but they forget that they are polar opposites on basically every issue. I mean, come on. Paul doesn't even think there should be a separation of church and state.

  • where'd you hear that? amazingatheist? i've heard most of paul's congressional speeches, read his articals and nowhere does he mention his religion. i had to go to wikipedia to learn that he was a baptist.

  • "i've heard most of paul's congressional speeches, read his articals and nowhere does he mention his religion."

Yeah, most people seem to be unaware of his writings about religion. Google "The War on Religion" by Ron Paul. Pay special attention to the line where he says the Founding Fathers envisioned an America in which the churches "eclipsed the state" in power.

  • If you do a little digging, you'll find a few really chilling things he's said about the place of religion in our society. He believes that the churches should have the responsibility of providing social services such as welfare and education in our society, not the state. His whole platform of decreasing the government's involvement in social services is spun as a measure against big government, but in reality it's just a way to give the churches more power. Really disturbing stuff.

  • If Gravel could calm down and stop saying I did this and I did that, just say I would do this and not rant and rave and yell. He is a bit too much for me. He needs to take a chill pill and try again in another 4 years.

  • Gravel has done a great deal and has reason to be angry.

  • fuck . you

  • this guy seems to really care, i like him and how he raises his voice to sound more serious.

  • I love his message, but disagree with the way he sends it. People don't like being yelled at, I just hope people listen. Hes still better then every other Democrat up there.

  • i'm voting for this guy i don't give a shit.

he's fucking nuts, i admit, but just watching him talk, you can tell that he clearly gives a shit what he says, and it's not political buzzwords.

  • LOL! Yeah in the debates he gets furious but when he is interviewed he is usually pretty calm. He gets angry listening to the other politicians lie and smokescreen.

  • dis man ain't 'fraid 2 speak da' truth

  • Gravel 08!

  • WAKE UP AMERICA>>911=INSIDE JOB!

  • Democrats, for those of you who will not listen to Ron Paul, at least, for the love of America, listen to this man from your own party.

  • He tells it like it is. I love it

  • Super Crazy!

  • Gravel owns the democratic side.... he's definitely not as strong as Ron Paul on the republican side... but Gravel, Paul, Kucinich are all good men.

  • I watched the debate, and he was the one candidate who was inspired.

  • Well, I would want to make sure God's will is done. That's what matters. I'd like promoting God to happen to the ends of the earth. Anybody got anything to state? Should we let those Muslims murder each other?

  • I like this guy, I like his style for the most part - he's kind of inarticulate and borderline insane, but also brings up powerful issues and challenges these candidates in a way they should be.

  • Gravel for President!

"In a time of universal deciet, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell.

    911=Bush>>INSIDE JOB!

  • Only 1 of all of them that speaks his mind without worry of rocking the boat. FUCK YEA! kill the sacred cows and make slippers.

  • He's about as popular with the Dems and Ron Paul is with the GOP. Ron Paul is a Constitutionalist and better educator while Gravel tells it like it is. No doubt they are on the same side of the fence regarding the war.

  • KICK ASS!!!!

  • Stop and think! Listen to Mike Gravel! We all know that the governments corrupt, he'll tell you exactly what politicians are up to. He said himself the American people are are smart enough to know the truth! Finally, once and for all he can end of the corruption.

  • Oh yeah, Mike Gravel really says it like it is. No more Republicans, please. We have seen the mess they have made of the country over the last six years. I want to see more of Mr. Gravel!

  • I guess telling the truth makes you crazy. At least someone is being straight with
