Have you seen that Wonder Years episode where Kevin has this humongous pimple? Hilarious how he freaks out the whole time, trying his best to cover it up or pop it. Then he finds out the girl he's supposed to meet shows up with the same gigantic pimple! haha. Great stuff.
ps. I know this might hurt, but laying off the sweets would help your chances.
i hed the same thing the pimples was all around my chin and where u pointed on ur face ummm i changed my diet no sugar no soda no fried food ,,im useing a non acne cleanser for my face ,im takeing tetracycline and pro biotics and rentin a ..and just like u when i was 19 i started getting cyctic acne, and im 25 now,its so stressful and all wanted to do is hide my face,,i didnt feel like going out,i did not want to talk to any 1,it was that bad,so i no what ur going thru just haNG IN THERE GIRL
I can relate to that and am about to make a video about it on an advice channel of mine. Hang in there. I m 22 and have never had pimples or issues, but for the last year my face is so irritated and red and i breakout everyday.. :( it sucks..
Finally, someone who understands! I'm 14 & I hate getting pimples.. I'm not the kind to get hardcore acne 'Thank god'.. I get about 3 to 4 pimples on my cheeks ..Even tho is not much, its still annoyingg as hell ! I tryed everything , Clean&clear spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide, I used it a couple times & it burned the tip of my pimple .. So i wouldnt recommend using it.. I use a facewash every morning its Neutrogena Skin polishing Acne wash , I use it twice a day. It works so far .. :)
I have tried almost everything, and nothin worked cause' those pimples you were talkin about kept comin up... until I used just an over the counter cream. It's called On-The-Spot Acne Treatment by Neutrogena. Was like a MIRACLE for me! So i HIGHLY recommend you use that because now I don't have to go through the terrible cover-up session every mornin'. I feel ur pain, but if you do try that cream please let me know how it works for you. :) hope this helps.
I was on tetracycline. I still have it, but I haven't taken it in a while. For me I already burn badly anyway, but the medicine makes my skin even more sensitive. So you just need to make sure that when your outside or at the beach or something that you ALWAYS wear a hat and stay in the shade. It also helps to wear a T-shirt over your bathing suit. And the tetracycline did work. It's not originally meant for acne, but for treating infections in general, and acne is a type of infection. I
i use neutrogena advanced solution. works wonders for me when i started getting pimples. after a week they were all gone (((: good luck on your acne issue
but once it started to work, omg did it work... i still wash my face every night and take these antibotics twice a day.. but im not gonna lie i still break out. but keep in mind its not nearly as bad as before. things like coffee, beer, pop and all that stuff is what makes me break out. thats why i stay away from pop, because who can stay away from beer and coffee right? :P another thing, try to avoid touching your face at all with bare hands, like leaning on your hand, cause thats a big no no:P
i was gonna do a video response but thought this would be quicker lol... i was searching up tetracycline and came across your video... so i watched it and decided to give some pointer that I use. firstly, ALL your stories are simular to mine. proactive is shit "lol"...i tryed it for about a year, and it did not help at all.. i must of tryed over 20 different kinds of soaps and none of them did it. so i took tetracycline. and it didnt start kicking in til about a month and a half...
hey try an asprin mask it helps so much it helped alot. and actually taking tetracycline and retina made me totatly clear in a month and i had worse acne then you. if all that dosent work try accutane cause that will defintley clear acne...and dont pop your pimples and rub your face
Everytime you try to cover up the acne with your stuff, you make it worse, basically what you need to do is: change the food you're eating... never ever drink Coca cola again, make sure you drink alot of water aswell..
I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with your face but try washing your pillowcase or blanket if your face touches it at the night.
Also, try a honey masque or go to Walgreens and buy Queen Helene mint julep masque. I had disgusting skin before I used it and now it looks SO good, and the mint julep masque dries up all the pimples.
sorry sugary song! lol thats hilarious!! @lisSUMMERxx haha same here same here!!!! lol to pop or not to pop hahaha
haha and i use clean and clear the purple kind it works pretty good..
also before going to bed put toothpaste all over the pimples that works for me or try putting lemon juice on them too!*WARNING* it will burn and tickle but thats only cause the little cleaners are trying to get all the gunky gunk out!!
i use the Clearasil Stayclear Tinted Adult Creatment Cream. it really helps. it has an odd smell to it but its not over-powering. and its not expenseive and lasts a long time. it works as a coverup to.....i used the tetrocycline pills once to and thought they worked really well.hope this helps!
i dunno if this helps u or not.. but if u happen to be on birth control pills that may be why pimples just started showing up... birth control pills sometimes has that effect... cuz it screws with ur hormones and stuff and ye thats pretty much all i know.. also it may be due to too much sugar or after a work out u dont wash the sweat off right away.. those are just some ideas i dunno if it helps :P
You could try panoxyl, i use the foaming wash and it dries up my pimples really well. although make sure you don't scrub hard or too often because it can dry out your skin.
okay so i have the same problem. same looking pimples. nothing works. touching skin to much. ect, i am going to the dermo soon and ill let you know if something they give me works. although for now i would use neutrogena acne stress control power clear scrub for a week or two, and TRY to not touch your skin. i hope this helps =/ and i know how it feels having those pimples they make you so insecure about your face, i always have my hands on my face trying to cover them.. but im making them worse

Yes, but if you have sensitive skin like you say you do. do not take this product. The birth difect rate is 100% and it has alot of side affects. I have sensitive skin 2.
Try some cetiphil and benxoyperoxide or something. It's by a normal doctor. Just accutane is just not good. for people that have sensitive skin and body. I do as well
You're a beautiful girl you shouldn't be self concious... There are different types of acne treatments, so go to a dermatologist and maybe they can suggest something better, I've had it for about a year... And it completely wrecked my self image... I get it in the worst places too, like around my mouth, and on my cheeks, hairline... It sucks sooo bad. Trust me. You could have it worse, so just keep washin your face, I'm a 16 year old sophomore... You know how bad that sucks?lol. Good luck
Well the truth about this video is, you cant see the pimples on my skin ;) The lighting and the camera made it possible to hide them :] And the tons of makeup i had caked on!!! I've been meaning to update this video!!!! My face cleared up a ton.. I ran out of med's- but im getting the perscription refilled... And also, I started using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash and i use it every day. Morning & Night, and it has helped alot!
Also i wanted to thank you for your comment, and being so encouraging... I wish you the best in luck and let me know if you have tried "SOLODYN" (thats what im taking now) and the Neutrogena OIL free acne wash.. <3 <3 <3 i have lots of nasty white heads around my mouth by the way ;( and my hair line.. blehh.. they say it's just homones? ;) Im 23, darnit lol
@ladycookieluck I'm 23 as well same sit. as you. No acne all my life then BOOM acne all over as soon as I turned 20. I just went to the Derm today and she put me on Doxycycline. hopefully that'll work (I'll keep you posted) Please let me know if Solodyn works for you...Thank you!!!!
I have whiteheads on my forehead and they won't go away!!!!! :(. I just started using Retin-A 2 days ago, and it seems to be working so far???!!!! I am currently using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (NO fragrance) and it keeps my skin kind of clear not like it was! I'm 13 and I need help I start JR high next month need help ASAP
4) LAST ONE!!! moisturize! take a cream that also works to your skin tone - i have one thats oil free and light on the face. its called complex 15 and you can also find it at shoppers drug mart .
****tip***
at night i use an oil like extra virgin olive oil because your natural skin oils mix with it and its just all in all really good for you to use on your skin at night - trust on all skin types it works miracles!! well, hope this works
3) after your done washing your face and neck ( yes its also important to clean your neck!!) you ll want to take a cotton pad and put a tonner on it . a toner makes your skin ph balance normal and helps in bad areas like acne - mine is clean and clear bleakhead control. put it on your neck and face , now, it may make ur skin a lil tight but thats ok.
(2) - wash your face with a good facewash - ** make sure that its right for your skin tone!i have one thats for my combo skin(i have the problem area around the mouth too and its gone now ) my facewash iscalled :eau thermale avene cleanser it comes in a blue bottle and you can get it at you local drug store(
but ya ive noticed its not what u use ( well it is ..) but to really get clear skin u have to make it a routine to wash your face - 3 step program!(1) - (at night ) take olive oil to ur skin and eye make up and use it as a remover -its natural, non expensive and is really good for you skin
dot use the wave thing i used it and it didt work except for the first week when i first used it my face was perfect for a few days it was really shiney and soft and smooth then days later i noticed it didt have the same feeling all of a sudden my face actualy started cracking apart and peeling it was the most painful thing my face was red and gross then i used the face cleanser it foams up by newtragena it helped amazing and i am soo glad i used it um its like citris somethin i think
Im suppose to start taking Tetracycline, but im scared to because ive heard that it can turn your teeth brown. When you took it what kind of side affects did you notice? And im the same like you i had porcaline doll skin but i have a couple pimples here and there thats why im suppose to take Tetracycline which i havent taken yet cause im scared to.
I can totally sympathise with you. I have had similar problem skin. I find Tea Tree Oil is AMAZING!! It really works - and the good news is you can pop the breakouts and it actually is good because the tee tree oil gets right in to sort out the problem.
I was on the antibiotic that you were talking about (and had tried proactiv), but then my dermatologist put me on a different one, Ampicillian or something, along with Aczone gel not too long ago. Claravis works well but it's for SEVERE acne....begging might help, but....
make sure your face wash is u-n-s-c-e-n-t-e-d too, fragarence irritates. I've been dealing w/ a few zits at a time all my teenage life! SO annoying and a downer, especially near my mouth so that my bf avoids kissing me...=/
I seriously recommend Aczone Gel (5% dapsone) if you have good insurance. It brings white/blackheads to the surface w/o really forming a zit. That's why it's $150 per tube w/o insurance. It may appear to be worsening your problem at first, but it's only destroying your "problem" areas to "rebuild" beautiful skin. Works for me when I've tried everything else!
Also cut out milk products in your diet, because my Dr. mentioned bad hormones that the cows are fed could worsen acne! (Recent discov)
a natural way to treat skin i no am going to sound crazy but use olive oil extra virgin every night just rub it on ur face for 2-3 minutes it really helps trust me or you can also use honey any type or natural honey just microwave it for about 6 seconds and den put it on ur face. It really works!!
I feel your pain. I use to be very vain, now i am very depressed. I live in nyc, so you think abt the way you look. I use to use concealer for the small stuff, now that doesnt help much. aah if you find a cure be sure to post.
I am 20,i am going through the same thing right now. It started with little white heads, now its full blown pimples. Its on my cheek and my chin. i used pro active, that didnt help. I also had the same thing with the porcelain skin, but it a tan color :) our family doctor said its hormones coming in balance.
stop touching my face is the first thing i need to learn!!!! LOL i always do this. bad habbit!!!! AND, keeping my hair off my face- another problem ;( I do drink alot of water though :) AND IVE USED MARY KAY TOO! A LONG TIME AGO! I WISH I STILL HAD SOME OF THAT! lol thanks for the advice!
Accutane is like the only one that works, its a toxic drug that is prescirbed by the hospital, talk to your GP about it. I had acne every since i was about 13ish and im 17 now, clear skinnn ;D Its hardcore and can be dangerous but its worth it trust me :)
I have strange paaainnfull pimples underneath my skin for nearly 6 years now. I'm hoping that what happened to you will be the exact opposite for me. Im crossing my fingers for clear skin in my 20s!
You said you found the most sensitive face wash in the store. Maybe you should try a face wash that doesn't retail in stores? Have a look at Dermalogica products (just search it in google) and also (I don't know if this one retails in the US, I'm from the UK) try searching Liz Earle's skincare products. I know that some people have also had good results with Philosophy skincare products although,... I didn't. With skin it's all really about trial and error though. Best of luck
Hey, I have the SAME problem, and whoever you went to to get that creme it wouldnt work because there is no creme or medicine that can help! I got mine removed by a professional where they do it by themselves. Also the pimples are caused by trying to squeeze them like blackheads and then they go deeper and thats what creates the pimples, because whiteheads cant be squeezed. HOPE THAT HELPS. peace and love, Christina <3
Maybe some of the stuff you were using changed their formula? Oh and proactive is toxic... never tried it but there are lots of bad reviews. do you ever use masks or exfoliate? queen helene makes good products for that.
change your foundation? Everyday Minerals only has like 5 ingredients and is super cheap, as well as tons of colors. That's a choice if you want something pretty safe. And brush washing... with zits your brush may pick up some nastiness more often if not cleaned a lot.
I'm just wondering if you ever considered using Arbonne?? The reason I'm asking is because I've had the same problem. Through out my high school years I had a completely clear face till right after I finished I started to break out.. and later on my husbands cousin sold arbonne stuff so I thought I'd try it.. and it works soo well especially the exfoliating face mask that takes a layer of your skin off and you can only do that once a week... but maybe it will work it might not be to insensitive.
Hi. Age isn't the only reason skin changes. If you move to a different area of the country/world or if you have a major change in life like bearing a child, your skin changes. If you have a death in the family and you take Zoloft for 6 months, your skin changes. You just can't assume it is related to one issue. Smog is terrible for skin and many large cities are getting worse. New perfumes& new materials can also affect skin. My best warmth to you. Namaste.
i tried proactive and it didnt work other then the refining mask i put that on at night if i have a pimple and it does really help it go away...the only thing i have to say thats negative about that is it drys out the skin a little in that area....but seriously if u havnt tryed that try it! its helped me ALOT
i still have like 2 big bumps and i have the spots of the old ones and its irritating. i just bought vitamin e capsules and its suppose to help to remove dark spots. dont stress out bc breakouts contribute to stress as well.maybe even try the aspiring mask.
HEY THANK YOU FOR THE COMMENT, It probably is stress lol, im always under stress! Especially the last two years! I finally went to the dermotologist yesterday! i posted a new video about it!
so i went and bought my regular wash and i even bought the proactiv and it didnt work it actually sting my skin real bad and i only used it twice. i started also using spot treatments and it has help but it takes time. i been doing this natural herb spot treament and i think thats what has help me the most. if your interested let me know.its weird bc they go away and another pops out and i hate it. i break out around my mouth and close to my cheek just like you and im still leaving with them
i completed related to you. im 20 and my whole teenaged years i never broke out maybe one little one on that time of my month. just recently during the holidays of 08 i started using this face wash at my house bc i had ran out of my reguarl face wash and i was lazy to go out and buy one.
I had the same problem but then I realised it was all on parts of my face that touched the pillow at night. Maybe try changing the powder/fabric conditioner you wash your pillows with. When I changed mine my pimples went!
It might be allergies. I was told by a friend recently, who has had acne problems for years, that he was diagnosed as lactose intolerant and when he cut back on the dairy products his acne cleared up. I know its hard to pinpoint, but what dietary changes did you make around the time this started?
eriller has a point about the kissing thing, that's true. LOL i remember. His mouth might be giving you acne. You'll be fine, sometimes the best thing is swimming :D With all the chlorine, etc. And DON'T touch anything then touch your eye...ok, sweeTie, from KaTsMeO :D
Have you seen a gynocologist? - hormonal problems can cause acne Maybe you started taking contraceptive pills? My daughter had bad acne and the pill cleared it up - but sometimes it can do the opposite. Or maybe you had a new boyfriend when the problem started? My cousin's skin was fine until she met her husband - but she's allergic to the roughness of his whiskers - kissing gives her acne all round her mouth - good job she loves him so much! or maybe your boyfriend's aftershave - soap... ?
Is great and there silver powder is awesome try it

You could have it worse, so just keep washin your face, I'm a 16 year old sophomore... You know how bad that sucks?lol. Good luck

Well the truth about this video is, you cant see the pimples on my skin ;) The lighting and the camera made it possible to hide them :] And the tons of makeup i had caked on!!! I've been meaning to update this video!!!! My face cleared up a ton.. I ran out of med's- but im getting the perscription refilled... And also, I started using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash and i use it every day. Morning & Night, and it has helped alot!

4) LAST ONE!!! moisturize! take a cream that also works to your skin tone - i have one thats oil free and light on the face. its called complex 15 and you can also find it at shoppers drug mart .
****tip***
at night i use an oil like extra virgin olive oil because your natural skin oils mix with it and its just all in all really good for you to use on your skin at night - trust on all skin types it works miracles!! well, hope this works
happeningjason 2 years ago
3) after your done washing your face and neck ( yes its also important to clean your neck!!) you ll want to take a cotton pad and put a tonner on it . a toner makes your skin ph balance normal and helps in bad areas like acne - mine is clean and clear bleakhead control. put it on your neck and face , now, it may make ur skin a lil tight but thats ok.
happeningjason 2 years ago
(2) - wash your face with a good facewash - ** make sure that its right for your skin tone!i have one thats for my combo skin(i have the problem area around the mouth too and its gone now ) my facewash iscalled :eau thermale avene cleanser it comes in a blue bottle and you can get it at you local drug store(
happeningjason 2 years ago
haha dont mind the name .. on a dif account :P
but ya ive noticed its not what u use ( well it is ..) but to really get clear skin u have to make it a routine to wash your face - 3 step program!(1) - (at night ) take olive oil to ur skin and eye make up and use it as a remover -its natural, non expensive and is really good for you skin
happeningjason 2 years ago
dot use the wave thing i used it and it didt work except for the first week when i first used it my face was perfect for a few days it was really shiney and soft and smooth then days later i noticed it didt have the same feeling all of a sudden my face actualy started cracking apart and peeling it was the most painful thing my face was red and gross then i used the face cleanser it foams up by newtragena it helped amazing and i am soo glad i used it um its like citris somethin i think

Im suppose to start taking Tetracycline, but im scared to because ive heard that it can turn your teeth brown. When you took it what kind of side affects did you notice? And im the same like you i had porcaline doll skin but i have a couple pimples here and there thats why im suppose to take Tetracycline which i havent taken yet cause im scared to.
sillylily789 2 years ago
i didnt have any side effects. but then again i didnt take it too long.. im taking solodyn now
ladycookieluck 2 years ago
I can totally sympathise with you. I have had similar problem skin. I find Tea Tree Oil is AMAZING!! It really works - and the good news is you can pop the breakouts and it actually is good because the tee tree oil gets right in to sort out the problem.
Not expensive either.

tea tree eh? ill look into this ;) thank you

SO annoying and a downer, especially near my mouth so that my bf avoids kissing me...=/
emeralds430 2 years ago
I seriously recommend Aczone Gel (5% dapsone) if you have good insurance. It brings white/blackheads to the surface w/o really forming a zit. That's why it's $150 per tube w/o insurance. It may appear to be worsening your problem at first, but it's only destroying your "problem" areas to "rebuild" beautiful skin. Works for me when I've tried everything else!
Also cut out milk products in your diet, because my Dr. mentioned bad hormones that the cows are fed could worsen acne! (Recent discov)

ahhhh that sounds amazing.. i want some now
ladycookieluck 2 years ago
a natural way to treat skin i no am going to sound crazy but use olive oil extra virgin every night just rub it on ur face for 2-3 minutes it really helps trust me or you can also use honey any type or natural honey just microwave it for about 6 seconds and den put it on ur face. It really works!!
dabezt100 2 years ago
olive oil, are you serious? that seems like it would break out your skin :( and if i put honey on me.. i would wanna eat it! LOL

I feel your pain. I use to be very vain, now i am very depressed. I live in nyc, so you think abt the way you look. I use to use concealer for the small stuff, now that doesnt help much. aah if you find a cure be sure to post.

Accutane is like the only one that works, its a toxic drug that is prescirbed by the hospital, talk to your GP about it. I had acne every since i was about 13ish and im 17 now, clear skinnn ;D Its hardcore and can be dangerous but its worth it trust me :)
creepingelf 2 years ago
Oh it helps a ton if you stop touching your skin. Oh! and the pill actually has been good for me too..

I have strange paaainnfull pimples underneath my skin for nearly 6 years now. I'm hoping that what happened to you will be the exact opposite for me. Im crossing my fingers for clear skin in my 20s!
BazookaBG 2 years ago
You said you found the most sensitive face wash in the store. Maybe you should try a face wash that doesn't retail in stores? Have a look at Dermalogica products (just search it in google) and also (I don't know if this one retails in the US, I'm from the UK) try searching Liz Earle's skincare products. I know that some people have also had good results with Philosophy skincare products although,... I didn't. With skin it's all really about trial and error though. Best of luck

try using cleansing milk, then alcohol free toner, then face cream for dry skin
use this method for day and night
also try keeping your hair away from your face and wash your hair everyday expecially where it's close to your face

And brush washing... with zits your brush may pick up some nastiness more often if not cleaned a lot.
stealthis 2 years ago
I'm just wondering if you ever considered using Arbonne?? The reason I'm asking is because I've had the same problem. Through out my high school years I had a completely clear face till right after I finished I started to break out.. and later on my husbands cousin sold arbonne stuff so I thought I'd try it.. and it works soo well especially the exfoliating face mask that takes a layer of your skin off and you can only do that once a week... but maybe it will work it might not be to insensitive.

And by the way, I'd card you for alcohol purchase. You do not look more than 20 on your video! Namaste.

Tuawta 2 years ago
eriller has a point about the kissing thing, that's true. LOL i remember. His mouth might be giving you acne. You'll be fine, sometimes the best thing is swimming :D With all the chlorine, etc. And DON'T touch anything then touch your eye...ok, sweeTie, from KaTsMeO :D

have you tried Dove? I agree with Kittykitagawa.
leoprincess8567 2 years ago
Have you seen a gynocologist? - hormonal problems can cause acne Maybe you started taking contraceptive pills? My daughter had bad acne and the pill cleared it up - but sometimes it can do the opposite. Or maybe you had a new boyfriend when the problem started? My cousin's skin was fine until she met her husband - but she's allergic to the roughness of his whiskers - kissing gives her acne all round her mouth - good job she loves him so much! or maybe your boyfriend's aftershave - soap... ?
eriller 3 years ago
maaybe yoou should get a second
opinion from a different dermatologist?
