Now a reply to argonne, Tucson has over 500,000 residents in the city limits...how exactly is that small again?
It is a great city with a small community feel, fantastic weather, awesome cultural experiences, festivals, etc. and thriving with plants and animals that survive well in that climate.
We are a young family and my husband and I really, really enjoyed the city while I lived there, a relaxing and peaceful place. Hope this answers your questions :-)

tuscon is a small city, and it seems really desolate and so boring and really hot
i don't mean to be offensive, but why would anyone want to live in the desolate desert of arizona
