No, the original Teen Titans, including Starfire aka K'oriander, was a comic book series, and this Starfire is almost identical in ability to the original version, down to the super strength and glowing green energy bolts.

If anything, Shego is a ripoff of Starfire.

@Grasscone No. She does still have her powers. The only time she never ever has powers is when Hawkman takes them away from her in one of the comics. I think in this ep she was just shocked that Starfire had the guts to smash the jewel. So that gave Starfire the perfect chance to attack. So I'm pretty sure she still has her powers. =)
