@92kasim The word "Paki" in my understanding has always carried a negative connotation, those who say its just short for "pakistani" are trying to justify the use of a racial slur and its actually a very poor argument at that.

I find its very similar to the derogatory word "Jap" when describing a "Japanese" person. (a slur that originated from the US out of the hate of the Japanese in World War II) To say its nothing more then a shorten formed of the word is ignorant.
