The apparent choice between inflation and deflation may itself be illusory because both assume the US dollar can survive the developing systemic instabilities in the US economy and growing pressure on the dollar. Better to debate the level of preps you have (food, water source, guns, ammo, and shelter).

Inflation is always popular at first when it is in the Housing or stock markets until it moves into consumer goods and everybody realizes that their money is falling in value by which time it is to late and the damage is done.
