This was the day my father bought a night club in London, and I remember everyone break dancing to this, I was 14 and allowed in a club in those days.
She is the Queen...she made my dad rich, but I have no money.who cares, but she is nice, and made me happy.
That black dude looks like the lost Wayans brother. This video is so great;love how the 80's dancers "groove." I've the let the music play ten times in a row today.
Having lived in the 70s and 80s, I agree the music was a lot better. But your post made me chuckle. Donna Summer's Bad Girls was about...money, sex, hoes lol.
(seriously there was alot of different shit being sold then and alot of crime and violence)
not half the crap that goes round now,if you did owt wrong then you did grt a good slap, some people get away with anything these days, wish i could go back to the 80s and take my son with me to sample it ,cos hes now converted loves it compared to all this modern crap, like that alone song whats in charts, nothing compared to heart alone
Life was grand in the 80's. It was the best erra of life with great music, with no fighting, no guns. If you had beef with somebody, you settled it on the dance floor. Why can't it be like that now a days?
@Floshekia the 80s weren't as great as we remember them. Yea this music is great but there was plenty of violence back then. Crack hit in the mid 80s turning cities into warzones. But I like the pop music from the 80s better than the pop music from now no doubt!
@polyrhythmatics I was about to say the same damned thing!! Crack cocaine era, burned down buildings in the bronx and uptown that got built up after how long?? There was ish in every time period.
@Floshekia yeah remember when great britain and argentina settled their dispute over the sovereignty of the falkland islands with a freestyle dance battle...margaret thatcher finally ensuring las malvinas would remain under british rule with a perfectly executed power windmill.......
@petetomlinson29 or when maggie and ronnie crushed the unions. or when america funded the contras in nicaragua through the means obtained from selling weapons to embargoed iran who was at war with iraq, america's best friend at the time. or when u.s. invaded grenada under some bogus pretext. or when israel occupied lebanon. or when cia armed the mujahedeens (then freedom-fighters, now terrorists) in afghanistan. wonderful era for all the peaceniks. if they were blind, deaf&dumb.
@Floshekia Hahahahaha. So if someone bumped into a person or had too much to drink and was picking a fight, you would just settle it on the dance floor? What, you'd say, "that's it! We're having a dance-off!" LOL!
@TheAmperion You need your ass kicked for that one...!!! Up there on Fordham...!!! I used to ride the 4 train up from Harlem and shop put there. God, the good old days.... Orchard Beach, Rye Playland and the block parties...!!!
Dancers are not retarded; its called freestyle moron; obviously you did not experience the 80's when style ruled; every week a new band, artitst, video, look, fashion or dance style broke out; 84 alone was Shannon, Midnight Star, Purple Rain (Prince), Colour by Numbers (Culture Club), Cyndi Lauper, Madonna singles, breakdancing and more; dance in the 80s could be robotic and unisex; guys in makeup and teased hair, girls in tuxedo jackets with shoulder pads like linebackers..great days
I guess in about 30 years from now, the next generation will look back on most of the popular hit songs from now, and say "that music and the dancers are retarded", just like the comment from djverdugo7, which if you ask me, THAT name sounds really retarded. Verdugo reminds me of the word "verga" which means "penis" in spanish. So i guess you're just a big penis.

I think we had so much fun because we all thought that we were going to die in a nuclear war... remeber the fall out shelters and all of those made for TV nuclear holocaust movies... Remember when President Reagan joke about beginning bombing in five minutes and everyone shit their pants... LOL!
@123LDavid surely this idiot did not really understand anything that was a great decade the 80s, the songs were certainly worked more and spent a somewhat quiet to hear them.

@Shrededwings The freestyle genre steals from hip-hop and techno music, which are kinda repetitive. What you're saying makes sense, although this particular track has a unique sexy vibe, as pointed out before. A very cool 80s gem...
